I've seen another person doing a review on this exact same device but his piano sounds horrible compared to yours. Did you connect this to an external speaker when you created this RUclips video that's why it sounds great? And BTW, the link you provided only directs me to 'Piano Store' in Shopee but I couldn't find it listed there.
The foldable keyboard pianos are a lifesaver. Granted they are not of the same quality as Yamaha or Kawai keyboards in terms of key responsiveness, but they help me a lot for late night practice when I need to practise my Grade 8 songs. I do have an old entry level acoustic piano at home, but my neighbors have sensitive ears so the only times I can play the acoustic piano is during my offdays in the afternoon. ( I suppose they don't want to hear the same Mozart concerto over a 100 times in 2 months.)
I wish Yamaha, Casio or Roland come out with something like this. I’ve asked about an 88 weighted keys piano at the Namm Show all the time. I would buy one in a heart beat from any of the brand name makers.
@@firstnameIastname I agree - I'd love to have a 49-key (4 octave) version of the Yamaha P125 -- just enough to play 2 octaves of scales, arpeggios and chords would be great. A 56-key or 61-key version would be ok too (I play organ - 61 keys is all I need).
In my most humble opinion, the lack of portability is one of the reasons people are not too enthusiastic about piano lessons. Something like this may suit me when and if I travel away from home. I even think it comes in handy for small gigs or at-home sing-alongs.
To me it's sound pretty good. I am not a piano player, but I am thinking want to play it for fun, maybe I can take this one as consideration rather than buying too much expensive one.
Surprising #1: "Semi-weighted!" #2: It looked soooo easy when you lifted the bag it seemed to me like nothing was inside. Interesting: It looked heavily inspired by those Casio CTs in recent years.
It's not semi-weighted action at all. The springs are installed under the keys. That's how I feel it. The only advantage of the folding keyboard is portability. Yes, it's good for practicing on the go, but it's not good for serious playing.
Just got one. I have a very nice digital keyboard, too heavy to transport, and bolted to a stand. I got this because I needed something to put in my trunk and take with me on the road to continue practicing.
Yes My mam got me a new Foldup piano for my Christmas present this year I cannot wait to open my piano box on Christmas morning so excited with 88 keys with Asus model and we got it online it is very handy
Jeremy, thank you for your great info on this foldable keyboard. My only issue with this is the weight. I travel internationally, and would prefer something lighter. Thank you for taking time to review this.
So does Quicktime on the Mac when used to play midi files. It's basically the original GM Standard sound set from Roland. The original Roland E-series (Arrangers) have that same sound too, more or less.
Amazing :). Great to have with you when you need to travel light. Don't try to do that with your unfolded piano 😂. You will only be able to fold it once 😂.
I know it's no replacement for my DGX-650, but I've heard others say these are all totally unusable. It's nice to see a review down the middle. When I start traveling again, I would love to have something portable to take with me. This might not be portable enough though...maybe a small MIDI controller would be a better option. The built-in sounds are not great, but you can always rectify that with MIDI plugins and better headphones / speakers.
Useing this without end device is not the main point anyhow. Hook it up to iOS\Android or a PC and it works out. Some people are always on the move, this thing is perfect for that.
Great review Jeremy. That's a cute foldable digital piano! It's a good thing that it is powered by a USB adapter and can be used as a midi controller as well. Didn't expect it to have a key lighting feature. 😉
Not sure why I can’t find the answer to the question being asked repeatedly. Which make and model is the keyboard in the video? The link Provided is for multiple hinge folding piano. I like the size and sound of the one you are playing. Thanks in advance!! 🙌🏼
I gig on guitar/vocals about 8 times a week, and I've always been tempted to bring a piano for some gigs, too, to switch it up. This might be perfect via USB/laptop for better sounds.
As far as I understand, sound can be adapted to sound more like a real piano when using it with some piano app processing the sound to an external speaker.
I like my cossain folding piano. well, what one were you using? I'm blind, so it didn't say in the video. but it sounded a bit better than mine, but some of the sounds. were you using it as is? or did you use an amp or a sound module?
Being portable means you can take it on a flight as a carry on bag. Definitely don't belong with the other checked luggage since the bag is soft. The quality is more acceptable than the Folding Piano 88 from Carry-on (MidiPlus) that folds into 4 pieces.
nice editing Jeremy keep it up. Also Here is a story I bought the other foldable piano you reviewed a few months ago it was okay but i found a casio privia px-100 for 100 dollars and was suprisingly in good condition.
Hi Jeremy, thank you so much for this video. Compared with Yamaha p-45, is the vangoa’s quality can compete in terms of touch and sound? For classical piano learning at dorms, is the vangoa still applicable? Thank you
I use this to practice when travelling . It is not a hammer or weighted type and don't expect the sound to be as good as grand or other good brand piano.. the keys are bouncy but I love it because I can still practice PCs that I love while travelling....
You are a marvel, Jeremy. This is a brilliant demo. Thank you for detailing its capacities. Zeus! Being a boomer, this is like magic. Carry a piano???? Sure, sure. Love the portability - who doesn't know the compromises? It feels like I would like more sensitivity (full weighted), but it is one of the compromises one considers. How is it as a composer's tool?
Hi Jeremy, the big manufacturers should build a piano with 49 keys and an octave, a contained size, with small speakers, good sounds, a midi option and some knobs and sliders that allow it to be used as a controller, sustain pedal, a quality key bed, USB power. Something similar to the Yamaha Reface but with a full size keyboard and more keys (49). It would be great for traveling and practicing in bed or on the couch. 78cm in length and 5kg should be the max. I think there is nothing on the market that meets that in any price range. Something like the midi controller Arturia KeyLab 49 or Komplete Kontrol S49, but autonomous, with the addition of good sounds and speakers would be almost perfect, but it doesn't exist.
Thanks 🙏 I bought a used Ingbell so it had no instructions. I thought mine was broken because it wouldn’t turn with USB-C to USB-C cable, figured out you MUST use USB-A to USB-C. I was mostly wondering if the USB port also could be used for data in some way…good to know it supports MIDI. I didn’t know it potentially has a rechargeable battery in it. I will have to see if my particular brand has one.
I bought this keyboard for church and the middle C key has popped up where the keyboard folds. Amazon is putting me through a lot to get to this seller to get a replacement. It sucks! The mic input doesn't work.
Go for Casio CTX9000in I am using since from 2 years Fully satisfied😍😘 I saved from buying that yamaha😒 which has same sounds which were there in the previous models, no upgrade
cool, this is just what I ned as a midi controller fir my arturia collection V .. Cheap keyboard plus the soul of the best synths in history.. Six days left on Arturias black friday 50% sale.. Get the $300 collection V, then buy pigments and fx5 as crossgrades each for $50.. Thats what I did.. I also bought a mac mini m4.. Be sure to use minimal usb audio equipment. I have some usb Jlab headphones I just bought that cause my arturia synths to crash.. I think I may return them to best buy where I got them..
I always take the little foldable "Carry On" keyboard that I won in your contest with me when I camp. It takes almost no space at all, which is nice if you're bringing a lot of camping gear. The advantage of this one in your video would be the thicker keys and touch sensitivity. The Carry On one has some very decent go-to sounds, and many of the others I don't use as much. I wonder if the low end of this keyboard is louder. The speakers don't look much bigger, but it would be interesting to find out. The Carry On has auto accompaniment. I have to bring a foldable table-top music stand with me to put in front of it Which one do you like best for sound, volume, and playability? (You played that one a long time ago. Maybe it would be hard to remember). 😀 This keyboard is $90 more than the Carry On foldable keyboard I won on your channel.
While you are showing the sound demo , was it directly from speakers or audio interface being used ? Just wanted to get some feedback regarding inbuilt speaker .
I've seen reviews of this keyboard from people using external audio recording of the speaker sound, and I can almost guarantee you that this reviewer used an interface. There's just a certain element of clarity in the sound here (not to be confused with property qualities) you can't get with an external recording from its speakers.
On my experience on using it, the sound quality is a little Blurry on acoustic mode than the sound i heard on his demonstration.. any recomendation to have a bette sound quality?
Thanks for the review. I’m a beginner and I wanna play piano for fun, not expect the best quality. This portable piano is awesome and I can bring it with me when I travel 💖.
Good evening Sir, this keyboard can support DAW like Cubase 5? If can support DAW i can use Roland sd50 module for this. Even it has no Midi out as long can support DAW its ok.
As ussual nice play mr jerremy.. The keyboard great the internal battery system is good but to be honest i think the internal speaker is worse... i preffer midi controller 5 octave... Nice review
Hey, i wanto order roland fp 10 for my kids, and i honestly dont have any idea about pianos. So my question is, can i connect wireless bluetooth headphones or sony link buds s or jabra elite 7 active earbuds so that they can play via earbuds and not make noise all the time? Or no?
Hello, I'm interested in how it rates for you on the Arranger side of it? I couldn't really hear much of that in this review, so for instance I'd like to know if that auto-accompaniment only uses the piano sound and not a whole "band" of instruments? And has it only got one type of drum kit or is it fully GM?
It's not semi-weighted action at all. The springs are installed under the keys. That's how I feel it. The only advantage of the folding keyboard is portability. Yes, it's good for practicing on the go, but it's not good for serious playing.
I have this keyboard and I've been trying for so long to record audio into my phone. How do I record the keyboard sound to my phone??? I've searched on youtube but most of them use those square cables I don't get it. The midi is like a usb C so do i have to find like a cable with a double type C on the end or something. I've bought them but it still doesn't work Im bad at cables sorry

The sound is an EXACT COPY of Microsoft GS Wavetable Synth, which you'll hear while playing midi song on a computer :D
I was just about to comment that!
yes. it probably uses the same basic midi sound chip as the windows gs.
Yeah, copy of Roland SC-55 and other Roland products of mid-1990's.

And has it only got one type of drum kit or is it fully GM?
It's not semi-weighted action at all. The springs are installed under the keys. That's how I feel it. The only advantage of the folding keyboard is portability. Yes, it's good for practicing on the go, but it's not good for serious playing.
Is it recommended for intimidate player?
Very nice review video!! Thanks
Will the sound quality improve if I connect it to an audio interface? I am using scarlet 2i2
How to select rhythm in the electronic piano rixton ?
Hello! I wonder to ask, is it possible to bring this keyboard on the plane? Like a carry-on bag style? Hehe
Yes you can!
Thank you @@JeremySee always watching your reviews hehe :))
I kinda like the sounds, they remind me of SNES games
I have this keyboard and I've been trying for so long to record audio into my phone. How do I record the keyboard sound to my phone??? I've searched on youtube but most of them use those square cables I don't get it.
The midi is like a usb C so do i have to find like a cable with a double type C on the end or something. I've bought them but it still doesn't work
Im bad at cables sorry
I use a USB Converter to micro USB for the C cable, and I got the perfect piano app to record some midi.
This plus keyscape is a game changer.
