The truck coming around the curve in the road at 3:59 is exactly why I don't ride that aggressively on the roads anymore. I was nearly flattened by that exact same situation (with the exeception of the truck crossing into my lane) a few months ago.
1.) Ron Haslam took a standard VFR750F to third place in a soaked Transatlantic Challenge race at Donington Park, UK 2.) A very special VFR750F called the '6X', a full HRC prototype containing titanium valves and magnesium flat-slide carburetors and weighing even less than the factory RVF raced by Wayne Gardner at Suzuka against TT F1 machinery. Wayne trounced the opposition, smashing his 4 stroke lap record by 1.5s. you were saying ?
I sat on this bike at the local dealer and I'm 6'2 , 34 inseam , but still couldn't put my feet flat on the floor. Nice bike. Comfortable. Slightly narrow feel to the handlebars coming off my 08 zx10 , it's a toss up for me. This or BMW's s1000rr.
great vid, felt nervous when going round that tight bend with the lorry coming the over way, however on your future vids could you spend a little time viewing the bike, closeups clocks brakes, etc thanks shane ps picture and sound perfect...good stuff
The engine developed in the 6X became the basis for the factory racer, the VFR750R. An engine race kit was available for the 1986 VFR from HRC for $4,000 (USD), including a titanium exhaust. Laughing about what you were saying ? I am :)
want to buy this bike and go to the beach, which is 400km from my town (via high speed road it is 3 hours on car), do you think it is going to be comfortable to ride such long distance?
Why do people feel the need to crack the throttle RIGHT after the motor catches? Atleast let some oil get to all the bearings before rapping on the gas. So adding an RSV4 to the Aprilia dualsport that I want to get it looks.
Are you attempting to find fault with wikipedia ? Because the sources wikipedia cites are third party sources (they get their information from researchers and factory records of manufactures). Oh and in case you wanted to further dispute Honda's Reputation. You might want to check the Isle of man TT history books as the RC30 (one of the most sought after V4 race bikes that won races. Joey Dunlop and Carl Fogerty to name a couple. And thats in the history books AND wikipedia. :P
@DoctorNumber46 Yeah i love the V4 also! Much more "soul" in its sound than an inline 4. But my favourite sounding V4?? watch this vid from 2:29 watch?v=_GV_uwEAKn0
And your not smart enough to watch the rest of the video; where they ride in dry weather and you can hear the mean growl of the Aprillia without music.
bike doesnt have speed. only rider can make it go to a certain speed. and busa doesnt even belong in "superbike" section, so comparing it to r1 is stupidity.
i dont know about everyone else here, but i LOVE the sound of a V4, especially this bike.
only the sound is enough to make a purchase decision
That's one of the best reviews you guys made, great picture & sound quality too!
There's some really fast, smooth cornering in there
the guy in the back at 1:34 looks like super Mario.
race bike with lights is a perfect discription.
I really enjoyed this video this is what writing is all about throwing a leg over and hitting the road 💪💪💪👌👌👌 bravo

An italian bike not breaking down once in the rain, im impressed
Gotta love Aprilias ;)
I can`t wait untill I see rsv4, live!!!
on one track!!, and im pretty sure im not the only one sceptical of the build quality and reliability of the RSV4
Ooooooooh that music reminds me of the old fast bikes videos !! happy days :-0

@DoctorNumber46 The Desmosedici is also a V4 and that sounds incredible so I agree with you!

I wonder what is the fuel consumption (mpg) when riding on the road.. ?

Sounds like "the devil is clearing it's throat" awesome tag line for the RSV4
Great trip by the looks of it ;-)
Helps to have hp and handling to go with the v4
Can you ride this bike with some level of comfort if your say 6ft 2 or 3?
@airs2k so no chance to 6 feet guy like me?(
Phhht .. Honda's VFR700 -800 (RC24 - RC47) been making this noise since 1986, where you all been ?

Some people this is their main ride to do everything. I saw a dude carrying a lamp in a box in one. Dafuq?
lucky bastard
i would happily remove 5 inches from my legs to ride it
only difference is that in Europe most drivers ara capable of keeping their vehicle on their side of the road.... :/
Yeah you do (:
yay rsv4 woot
says smooth so many times
same
Prototype? as i was saying........

1,000 V4 Engine
@retromurdok its really comparing a drag racer car to a nimble rally car eh? hahaha just ignore stupid posts man. dont get worked up.
I'm 5'9 and i can, you must have such short legs
And your not smart enough to watch the rest of the video; where they ride in dry weather and you can hear the mean growl of the Aprillia without music.
Aprilia is known for making reliable street bikes. Their dirt bikes? Not as much.
1000s just dont scream like 600s :(
But R1 is still a better bike and MCN will say so when they test them together guaranteed!!
bike doesnt have speed. only rider can make it go to a certain speed. and busa doesnt even belong in "superbike" section, so comparing it to r1 is stupidity.
These guys are not smart enough to watch the weather report and not put music on thier videos
aprilia spanish...muahahahahah
hi, anyone have £20,000 i can borrow over a few years?
aprillia is spanish!?!?!
yeah right!!!
I assume that you know nothing about motorcycles:)
My right Ear huts man :/
r1 is not better than this bike hayabusa is the best coz it has more speed
