    if you use 14 Hz , the depth of investigation reduce because depth of investigation depend on wavelength....

    I have a question
    What happens if I use 14 Hz geophones instead of 4.5 Hz?

      they started the recording with 10 Hz geophones, they got data with high frequency range. It is better to use 4.5 Hz for MASW recordings and combine with 1D (ReMi) or 2D passive array, because of their low frequency range. I hope this answers your question. Else, search for John Louie's papers from University of Kensas, USA.

      Low frequency means smaller wavelength which means bigger distance or depth of survey
