Great video Stefan! This is informative and well-made, and it was an excellent supplement to the papers I've been reading on Nakamura's H/V Spectral Ratio method in preparation for an upcoming project. I also wanted to give you a shout out for your advice in processing S&ME's Geode RMA earlier this year. Thanks for answering your phone even though I forgot that you're on Pacific time and called so early in the morning.
Hi, great video but just few comments. HVSR is used only for soils, we just use Standard spectral ratio for modal analysis of structures (no vertical amplification in tall strcutures). You should also compute the single components spectra when interpreting HVSR, they allow to attest of the geological origin of a HVSR peak. Cheers
So good, wish that I had seen this video when I was in college
Just started to learn HVSR. Easy to understand and great video, thanks!

nice explaination
Make more videos on this topic please!

NICE!
thanks!
Hey! Nice video!
Do you have a link to Nakamura's paper ? I cannot find it online :(
When Jesus himself has decided to teach you HVSR!
Can HSVR be obtained with a Geode (also from geometrics) utilizing triaxial geophones or would one need another equipment like the ATOM-3C?
Yes, you can most certainly gather data w/ a Geode (3component geophones) and process that with the SeisImager/SW software for HVSR analysis.
