- In this episode of Lambvinskis Garage, I bought a 1966 Dodge Camper Special 4x4! It came with no engine, but don't worry, we had one in stock! A 1964 318 Poly from our Flagship truck! In this video we install it, change transmissions, do some body work, and get this fine ride back on the road! Kinda. Well, sit back, get a cold snack, and enjoy!

As always, thank you for watching, and have a nice day!
I love those old Dodge trucks the 1965/66 front ends are the best
Thank you for your video's. I enjoy watching them. I've been a Mopar guy since fifties. I like those old power wagons their amazing.
I'm glad you enjoy!! Power Wagons are awesome!
I could use one of the headlight rings. One of mine got blown away in the Derecho we had. I’m working on a ‘67 W200 383.
I have a handful of them, not perfect though.
@@LambvinskisGarage They don’t have to be. I figure if I look over in my neighbor’s hay field I might run across it. I’m in WV. Where might your shop be?
@innertube205 it might have flown like a frisbee huh? Lol I'm in Washington state. If you want to email me, or send me a message on Facebook or Instagram, we might be able to work something out!
I looked you up. Washington…. That’s a fur piece…
i had a 1965 dodge D200 with the earlier 318 raetd at 200 hp. . Heavy duty with limited slip differentual and 4 speed manual . I recall it had solid lifters and was geared low. Did not like driving much over 50 mph. Had it into the early 80s. It was used by Washington State forest service. i bought it in 1976 for $500
Cool! A car show without cussing!
I have a 66 w200 pw in marlin blue....patina, drive train & original 318 rebuilt. Need some from axle seat kits and a front bumper if you have a spare....nice truck! Wonder why it has reverse lights as a 66?
Good front bumpers are hard to come by! I believe reverse lights started in 65.5 when they went to the wide bed instead of the narrow, but I could be mistaken.
@@LambvinskisGarage ok. I have a April 66 build. Cool.
@@LambvinskisGarage yeah. 4 years and counting for a 68 hood & for 62-68 front bumper....
How many leaf springs are on the front? On the rear?
Really enjoy the content...the poly is a forgotten gem in Mopar truck history...the project is coming to a close fast. What's the price??????
I'm glad you enjoy! Its a runner driver now! I would take $3500 for it!
Changed my grille to a 68 style, why looking for 68 hood.
I have a 1966 D500 with the poly 318 according to the book i have it has 7.5 compression but the pickups had 8.5 compression do you know if it was the heads or pistons that changed the compression.
I'm not too sure to be honest. I know some of the big trucks had the "premium" 318 or whatever they called them. I don't know what they changed though, Poly stuff is pretty limited and it's almost all the same.
Be more yourself not so vice grip deff got the cars N the videoing down just stick to you 🤘 just my 2 cents
I appreciate the feedback! The stuff that comes out of my mouth is 99% me though haha!
