Hooray...at last...puts a new 'bent' on flatware jewellery..torches are the way to go. You can buy them at kitchen or cookware stores I use mine for everything including Sterling Silver.

I learned a lot from you. I really appreciate that you left the parts, in the video, which showed you correcting placements. That is so important for us newbies to learn. Otherwise I would think each part would be placed exactly as wanted with the first attempt at placement. (well, not me, but.....) thank you!

+Charlotte Dougherty Happy to hear my video helped. As amateurs its not our ability or lack thereof that determine whether or not we are successful , its our persistence to finish what we started, that is what matters, that is how we grow. (just a thought).

I make jewlery like this too,you could save a lot of hassle by using a hard nylon hammer to avoid scratching and marring it up. Also it looks like you used stainless,if you try grinding on silverware your plating will be gone just a heads up in case you don't know that.

You can either use a butane or propane torch. Most hardware stores should stock them.

I noticed the vice isn't in the description. Anything else not on that list that you would recommended purchasing? I'm going to look at local sellers first.

This is a stainless steel fork. its easier to heat and bend without breaking... silverplate is not as forgiving... just fyi

I agree. You can't heat a silverplate fork this aggressively without burning off the plating.
