The #CadillacEscalade has always been the flagship vehicle for the brand and when the latest generation debuted back in 2021, it really set the bar high in the uber luxury segment. For 2023, the #Escalade remains one of the most luxury and family friendly SUV's on the market.

Another awesome review, Sofyan . . . I know the engine in this review was the 6.2 gas, but you mentioned testing another vehicle with a diesel engine. My question is, are the manufacturers still recommending that you DO NOT turn off a diesel engine when it is in "regeneration" mode ? That would be a big negative to me, having to sit in a parking lot at my destination waiting for it to stop "regenerating" - I drive around town, on mostly short trips - out on the interstate, I could see it wouldn't be too much of a problem. I drove a diesel vehicle at my job a few years ago, and we were told NOT to turn it off in regeneration mode - a big pain. Maybe they have changed them now and they CAN be turned off - and it just resets itself when it is restarted ?

Same reliability? You need to study on the automotive industry a little more. You can put 300,000 miles on escalades, tahoes, and yukons. America's most popular full size is the Chevy Tahoe which is what this vehicle is based from. Escalades last way longer than a range rover. And cheap, and bigger, and more bold, and has more road presence , and can fit more people inside.

I wish we wouldn't continue to pat GM on the back for this one, they've had enough and have been rewarded with an unbelievable 40K a year in sales of this thing. That makes GM lazy. Yes they've finally moved the Escalade game onwards and it truly offers some more content over the GMC/Chevy models it shares platforms with, but it's time for GM to move the game onwards more. Better NVH, better seats in the second and third rows, better plastics and more amenities in the third row. The X7 while smaller shames this thing thing inside as far as quality and overall treatment in the back rows. I'm hoping a facelift will address the finer details.

You sound like a hater. Reviewing their product and admitting the things that they’ve gotten right “makes them lazy”? Do you feel the same about Mercedes-Benz with the plastics in the bottom of the front doors in the GLS? It just sounds so stupid to be upset that the vehicle is a success and is selling because people are aware of what it _does_ offer. Folks buying this truck are well aware of the BMW X7 if that’s what they preferred. Get over it.

While I really like the interior of the Grand Wagoneer, it boggles my mind that so few people point out how HORRIFICALLY UGLY the exterior of that thing is. The rear 1/3 of the vehicle in particular. I've never seen a goofier-looking SUV...and the fact that it is a "flagship" six figure vehicle just makes it worse. The rear 1/3 of the Wagoneer looks like it was pulled off of a totally different vehicle and glued onto the front 2/3. I haven't seen your review on the Wagoneer, but I always felt like many reviewers were deliberately ignoring how terrible the exterior of that thing looks. The Navigator doesn't have that problem and is great-looking inside and out.
That said, I still think that the Escalade is by far the best-looking of the three. I actually think that this trim level in particular looks fantastic...maybe even better than the more expensive trim levels. I don't recall that extremely thin strip of chrome coloring around the third row side windows in the prior model years of the Escalade. IDK if that is new or if it is just because I've never seen this specific trim level reviewed before, but it makes a HUGE difference IMO...especially for such a small and seemingly insignificant detail.
The chrome elements on this test vehicle in particular look beautiful, and combined with that stunning color, I have to say that this is one of the best-looking "new" body style Escalades that I have ever seen. That unique color and the tasteful amount of chrome trim (which isn't overdone by any means and is added in just the right places to make the most visual impact) on this example actually does a fantastic job of making this modern Escalade look like a throwback to the "good old days" of Cadillac vehicles without actually making the vehicle look "old"...if that makes sense. The color has that "vintage car" feel to it, and it has the perfect amount of chrome trim which also makes it look "vintage Cadillac" WITHOUT the gaudiness of gargantuan, 500-pound chrome bumpers on the front and back and 5,000 pounds of polished chrome trim everywhere else.
The color on this Escalade really reminds me of the factory original color of my 1969 Chevelle SS 396. Burnished Brown. I bought the car specifically for its original color combo (Burnished Brown with the parchment (white) bucket seat interior and white SS side stripe), and it is a color that...just like the color on this Caddy...doesn't look particularly impressive if it is a dark or overcast day, but when the sunlight hits it on a beautiful summer day, EVERYBODY is impressed by it. Burnished Brown is a more "golden brown" color and the paint on this Escalade is much more of a "copper" color, but I was talking more about how both colors look dramatically different under different conditions.

No disrespect. But you really think people have time to read a super long comment on RUclips?

I totally agree that the grand wagoneer looks horrible! The last third of the vehicle definitely looks out of place and ugly. I'll stick with the upper trim on the grand cherokee instead.
