@EzraCollective secoue le jazz britannique ! Le quintet embarque Ground Control dans l’exubérance de Where I’m Meant To Be, son deuxième album.
Ezra Collective conjugue les énergies de Femi Koleoso (batterie), TJ Koleoseo (basse), Joe Armon-Jones (clavier), Ife Ogunjobi (trompette) et James Mollison (saxophone). Ensemble, les cinq londoniens produisent une musique aussi riche d’influences que la capitale britannique : jazz surtout mais aussi hip-hop, afrobeat, grime… Un univers sans frontière, où liberté et créativité règnent.
C’est en 2016 qu’Ezra Collective publie son premier EP : Chapter 7, suivi un an plus tard par Juan Pablo: The Philosopher. L’éclectisme innervant ces deux premières productions permet à la bande de séduire bien au-delà du monde du jazz. Cet engouement du public entraîne Ezra Collective dans une tournée de deux ans qui engendre You Can’t Steal My Joy, un premier album paru en 2019.
C’est son deuxième album - Where I’m Meant To Be, publié en 2022 - qu’Ezra Collective présente devant le public de Ground Control ! Une performance aussi entêtante que festive qui permet à la troupe d’assoir sa réputation de bête de scène.
