I’ve watched a few of your videos recently now and one thing I really like it you install and do things on your cars like the regular person would. You use what you have. You don’t use lifts or floor jack lifts or none of that. You use what you have from ramps, stands, floor jacks and other things. You should installs like this are possible for anyone to do with a set of normal tools and some time. Thank you for that

The res in this car is pretty big tbh so yeah it made a big difference. I love the tone so far. I didn’t want the car to be super loud and obnoxious. Honestly for now it’s gonna stay like this for a while idk if I’ll do a catback. I’ve heard some nice setups but again I don’t want it loud af
Always tell my friends that this is the best exhaust setup to do: downpipe of the buyers choice and res delete to the stock catback: this platform is too annoying to make sound good and so many ruin it
I agree the MQB cars are tough to make sound good. I just feel this setup is loud enough and sounds really nice. Some people over do it and sound awful. I didn’t want this car to be crazy loud to begin with so I feel this is my end game exhaust setup. Who knows though, that can always change quickly

To be completely honest, sounded better with just the down pipe, res delete sounded ultra raspy and tinny on speakers, probably better to swap the resonator with a straight through res instead
You def can get a pipe welded in if you remove the stock clamps and what not and have them measure and weld BUT to me this is better due to the fact that it’s a perfect fit piece and it’s clamped on both sides so If you ever need to put the resonator back in the car whether you don’t like the sound or trading the car in you can easily un clamp the straight pipe and put the res back on
Sooo tbh it’s not that hard if you put all 4 corners on stands. I decided to just back the car up on ramps which gives you just enough room to work. Just because of the limited space it is about a 6 out of 10 but with enough space this install is a 1 out of 10 very simple to do
This is catted and not much drone at all. When cruising around it’s tamed only gets a little loud and barely any drone when you put your foot down and keep it around like 4K. Very manageable

When in comfort mode with the valves closed does it still make it loud? Or it’s quiet. Honestly I drive my Gma around a lot for appointments and I don’t need her complaining about my exhaust noise 😂😂
Tbh man it’s pretty tamed with the valves closed! Once in sport and you put your foot down that’s when it’s decently loud. Don’t worry though if you drive normal and in comfort she probably won’t even notice

I haven’t looked into actually purchasing a kit but we do a lot of work with a muffler shop with my work and they gave me a pretty decent price to chop it and install their own straight pipe. I also went with your other recommendations and went with a CTS intake and turbo inlet pipe. I also added the turbo muffler delete which I think you may have mentioned but I know other people have said it’s good for sound. So hopefully with the res delete it would sound super nice. But that’s great news if I just close the valves my Gma won’t be yelling at me and pointing out cops every time she sees them, saying “he’s gonna get you” 😂😂. Thanks bro love the channel
Ohh I have CTS downpipe no cat and the rest of the system is stock I also have stage 2 and the smell is kind a strong but not that bad and I’m afraid the smell will be bad
Around town it’s barely louder than stock. You’ll only notice the big difference when you get on it plus there’s practically 0 drone no matter the situation
My favorite exhaust setup is what I have now overall. CTS downpipe to the res delete. I do want a valved catback now as I want a bit more tone when I want

Yes many companies tune without accessport such as IE and Unitronic. However if you want EQT for tuning you’d need an accessport or you can use ecutek

If you keep a stock downpipe a res delete isn’t going to do much sound wise so you shouldnt get drone
