Helpful video thanks!
👍🧡🚽💩 Glad it was helpful!
Nice video. Two harbor freight drain cleaners?? Must be on sale. LOL. But about the foot switch, it's easy fix. Just locate where the air is leaking (dunk it in water and squeeze), and clean/dry, and seal it with clear silicon caulk. Simple fix and will last a long time. Now about losing snake tips - that can be prevented by fastening a small hose clamp on top of the screw. Now there is no way you will ever lose tip again.
👍🧡👌
I used a longer bolt and a self locked nylon nut.
Im about to go get this now and also the 50ft replacement to make it 100ft like you said.
👍🧡👌
I second the RootX, bottom line it has worked for me as well. Good luck l
👍🧡
Hiw do you getbthe cable out?
I used a screw driver
I work in the plumbing trade an i must say sometimes a 3/8”-1/2” cable will work almost never for a main sewer line. You are going to want to upgrade your cable an machine
👍🧡👌
What do you recommend
How long before the air foot switch broke? Would you recommend this model? Any other problems with it? I am considering buying the auto-feed version. Thanks.
👍🧡💩🧻🚽 don't know when it broke. Should be easy fix to seal from air leaking or turn switch on.
You should put some root killer in your drain every now & then so you are not using the snake as much
👍🧡👌 thanks for the tip.
I did you take the one PACIFIC HYDROSTAR 50 Ft. Compact Electric Drain Cleaner back to HFT for a replacement?
👍🧡 no.
I would like to convert mine into a 75 foot snake. If I were to buy the Harbor Freight 50 foot cable and cut it in half, how would I attach the end fitting to the cutoff end?
I would just use 75 feet of the 100 feet
I only used it twice and now it seems like theres a short.or something. I hit the pedal and it turns once and shuts off. Plugged it in different outlets and the same. Any help?
👍🧡👌 Call the customer service for Pacific Hydrostar. My foot pump had a air leak. Check if that is the problem.
hey, do you know if i can attach an extension cable to it?
👍🧡💩🧻🚽 yes.
Just get a grinder and make that 100' snake a 90 footer all that extra cable is a hassle
👍🧡👌
Would you say after having this model for a while would you say it is still a good
investment? I need to clean out my main 4" drain pipe. I was considering
this model with the auto-feed. Your advice would be helpful as looking to buy right away.
Also, is there a neutral position on the auto-feed? Thanks.
👍🧡💩🧻🚽 this is not auto feed and got it at discount with coupon. Yes it's a good investment if you know your going to have to snake the drain every year for preventive maintenance.
@@JamesBondJB007 I forgot to mention I am considering the auto-feed model. This is the second time my 4" main drain pipe clogged in about 9 months. Last time the plumber came with his Ridgid machine and charged $200, so I figured I'd buy this model, even though the Ridgid is a more robust machine, but they are very expensive for a home owner so this model is a good compromise. Thanks for any info you can share.
@@uptownphotography 👍🧡💩🧻🚽👌 be careful not to kink the snake line by over auto feeding. I have roots growing in the drain so will be snaking it every year. It will take time and experience to learn how to use.
@@JamesBondJB007 Thanks for the advice...I would imagine the manual feed is fine to buy also. I am honestly on the fence which to get. It is about $150 cheaper w/manual feed. I am also trying to figure where I get the Harbor Freight coupons as I hear many talk about using them. The auto-feed model is $379 so a coupon would be helpful for sure....thanks.

Home depot and lowes have a multitude of standard and metric screws
👍🧡
It looks like this tool is ok to use on pvc pipes and not just the other galvanized ones?
👍🧡👌
You need to focus on the job
🧡👍👌😅😂🤣
Exactly, no real useful info, just a bunch of verbal diarrhea.
I saw another RUclipsr got the entire 100 foot inside the drum. Are you retracting it using the motor or by hand?
👍🧡🖐 by hand.
@@JamesBondJB007 hmm that's how he did it too. Strange. Hopefully you can get it fully in at some point. I'm planning on buying one of these today.
@@squid8616 maybe you can, it gets harder and tighter as it coils.
@@JamesBondJB007 got mine shortly after last comment. I was able to get it in the first time without much problem. But tried 2 times after and I couldn't get the last 15 foot in, plus it's really heavy. So I'll just be storing my second 50 foot seperate and just add it as it's needed.
@@squid8616 👍🧡👌
About to go buy one does it come with the foot pump?
👍🧡 yes
@@JamesBondJB007 thanks do you suggest this for a clogged basement sewer line? My basement is flooded and plumbers are getting expensive
@@kingcrittycrit3387 👍🧡 not sure but this works for me.
trim your shrubs and that tree. They should be no more than 12" from house. Your siding will thank you.
👌
@@JamesBondJB007 good video btw
@@stepheneverett7090
You can buy a replacement foot pump
👍🧡👌 thanks for the tip
My foot pump switch broke also.
👍🧡🚽🧻💩
To be fair to the manufacturer: I checked it afterwards and it was working fine. The person that was using it stepped on the pump too hard, causing it to be deflated.
Also, it was very easy to disconnect the connectors to the pump switch inside (there’s only two connectors to the switch), and tape them together with black tape. You could then use the knob , for forward and reverse, to turn it on.
@@Shaikhofilm 👍🧡👌💩🧻🚽
@@Shaikhofilm Not sure that's good idea. Foot switch is easy fix with silicon caulk. Also foot switch is very important for safety and fine control of the drum rotation. If you hit a snag, or some kind of mechanical failure, it can take too long to turn the machine off.
