It’s worth noting that if you delete a sim from the game and look at the memories of a sim who has met them, they’ll simply be named ‘simoleon subject’ as a placeholder for their real name. The devs probably gave nervous the last name ‘subject’ to hint towards that not being his real name, as well as him being a literal test subject for the beakers
Nervous’s story is a very sad one especially in sims 2 PSP so I try to give him a happy life and move him out of the beakers house and I’m very glad they got rid of the hidden nervous because... he’s a bit creepy. Nice video! ❤️
I hate how people treat like those hidden sims like they had a meaning behind them and are actually different people, when they're in fact the same characters (They just changed during development and aren't supposed to be used). Personally, I still think that the two Nervous are the same. I used to despise Nervous, because he is such a pain whenever he interact with other sims (and is really unappealing too). However, it's thanks to the PSP and Sims 3 lore that makes me respect the character more, he was such a tragic figure, I love him a little bit more for that.
I always assumed that his legal/birth name was also something that started with an "N" but, because of his treatment and behavior, they just replaced it with Nervous
Whenever I play in Strangetown I like to imagine that the playable Nervous is a defective clone, and the original Nervous is the one we see in the PSP version of the sims. That's why the clone has no memories, because the Beakers basically grew him like a plant into his adult form. That's also why this Nervous is gay and the original Nervous is not (its not a defect btw just to be clear, he just came out different from his original version that's what I meant )
@Izex I know that all of this cloned Nervous business is probably just a bug/ea's laziness but that's the most fun thing about this game, absolutely NOTHING is really canon, you can imagine anything however you want and it's all basically canon as long as you want it to be and I love that
@@nonamesorry7135 It's actually an issue with Maxis' development cycle. They made and removed Sims as they worked on the neighbourhoods, but they didn't always remove Sims correctly. This left incorrect connections all across the various surviving sims. This also left issues like the scrapped Aspiration tag and the corrupted faces, broken by overhauls in the code of the game that the Devs either missed in their work cycle or left unfixed because they were done on deceased Sims not intended to be brought back.
Oh cool the hidden Sims are really interesting. I was reading about them before there are a few hidden sims from Pleasantview too but Nervous is one of my favourite Maxis Sims so that one interests me the most. I didn't realise he had a teen voice in that video though so that's interesting. That makes me wonder if he was already kind of corrupted at that point. It's interesting that they didn't add back his family relationships with Ophelia with the newer Nervous but he is related to Olive. It makes sense that he wouldn't know her since he was taken away before she was born but not sure why they didn't change the family tree if they connected him to Olive. 🤔
The Grim Reaper will pass down facial features of the 2nd face template which is the vanilla face template that represents the facial genetics of Sims that don't really have their own facial genetics. Mrs. Crumplebottom on the other hand doesn't seem to pass on any genetics, and the offspring will inherit all their genetics from their other parent.
and darleen dreamer and michael bachelor in fact if you manages to successfully resurrect hidden michael he will crash the game upon spawning, this is because he uses a character portrait pose that was discontinued during development hidden skip also has a character portrait pose that was discontinued during development but i didn't see anything saying he crashes the game upon spawning
If you look really closely at Loki in the Beaker storytelling picture, or at his thumbnail in this picture (static.wikia.nocookie.net/sims/images/7/72/Hidden_Nervous_Subject%27s_Original_Appearance_in_TS2_02.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20131006185625) you’ll see that Loki also had a completely different face at some point So my speculation as to what happened with Hidden!Nervous is, they recreated the Beaker family, but they somehow messed up deleting hidden!Nervous and forgot to change Olive’s memories to the current Nervous, so now we have a secret uncanny valley Nervous just hidden in the game files LMAO
Wow! Your charisma skill improved since last time I watched your corruption video and also the video editing! Keep going cuz you're doing better and better!
What I find strange is that Nervous Subject is confirmed to be the Grim Reaper's child yet if that were the case, he would be an exact clone of Olive. It's essentially the same as impregnating your sim with themself but it won't always be the opposite sex. The whole Nervous Subject situation hurts my head tbh lol
I don't think so. I've had sims become pregnant with certain NPCs like Grim, Rod Humble, and a social bunny. They weren't clones of the mother. In fact, Grim's children had white skin and black hair, similar to Nervous. However, they did not have the weird eyes that Nervous has.
I love the fact that grim reaper is an icon for this chanel! I think it could be even better if you could use him more when you are talking, I mean try to use game, imagine him sitting on couch or doing random stuff while you are talking, i think it could be a great idea if you know what I mean 😚

If a sim doesn't have data in game it's impossible to bring them back without use of other programs, like simpe. Tho you need to make accurate looking clone or download one. I used to do that and it isn't as hard really
I think this has already been mentioned somewhere in the comment section, but I don't think it's possible to make Hidden!Nervous Subject playable even with SimPE. This is because he literally has nothing in his character file that references his physical appearance, so the game can't even render him; think of it like baking a cake, you can't bake a cake without ingredients. However, you can either try to recreate him yourself in Body Shop, or find an accurate version of him online, create him in Strangetown and then copy/paste the relevant files from the new Nervous you created to the Hidden one. There is a tutorial on The Sims Wiki called 'Resurrecting Dead Sims' that has a section for retrieving sims with no character data that goes in more depth. I find the hidden sims really interesting! There was one from Life Stories that gave me nightmares when I was 14; Sara Rhome (Hidden), I think her name was. She looked so broken. Anyway, loved the video!
He was probably meant to be the real one, but then they decided to kill him during the gameplay video and couldn't resurrect him and decided to make another one instead.
@@Knux5577 They don't have to play the Sims game to produce the memory files, they just select the memories they want with dev tools. The photo albums were made with live gameplay. So the real question is, why did they dummy out the Nervous used for the photos and make a new one?
if Nervous is grim reapers child maybe they thought he can't die and that's why they use him as a subject bc they can just go on and on and he won't die,,,but he did
I think sims like Hidden Nervous don't have character data and need to be recreated but don't quote me on that. It's been awhile since I studied the subject.
