This glitch has been haunting my second character slot since November of 2020 lol. I think this glitch triggers if you get it for free without buying one before. Btw, does this only save on the outfit or does it unlock to use freely?

Yeah after you have saved it you can customise your outfit and the rebreather stays

Rebreather just disappears as soon as You click into edit saved outfits section
