Thanks for taking the time to make this. Mine will be a bit different as I did not buy the BRP top clamp. Mike in AZ

Chalk this up to one of those things I didn’t know I needed until today. Can’t wait to put it on my 2023 FE350S!

Great video, thanks for taking the time to make it. I am installing the same thing on my KTM 500 tomorrow and this was very helpful.

i like your vids, no nonsense no fancy editing. im considering this bike to go full on offroad. never had a dirtbike ever, never ridden one. I ride a r1250gs, taken it alot offroad. my issue is im 5.6 ft tall, id have to lower this bike a lil, i ride offroad atv alot, so the bike is new to me, but i can read terrain well, im jus ready to go all in! jason here from norcal

Thanks for your kind comments and for watching! The FE 350s is such a great bike to ride offroad. I am 5, 6 and some change on a good day so I feel your pain! With the linkage setup, this bike sags to about the right height under my weight of 185 lbs so I didn't need to lower it. Ride it and see how it feels before you lower it but that may be the final outcome. I used to ride a KTM 350exc and it was much taller even when I was sitting on the bike because it has a direct PDS system instead of linkage which is what pushed me towards the purchase of the Husky over the KTM even though I like orange better! :) My advice would be to ride it stock and get used to the power and then if you need more, I am prepping some other vids with a power up kit that added some more power when that time comes. Good luck! Ride on, have fun and be safe.

Great detailed video, this is much appreciated. I have this kit en route and I fear I'll have a little more work ahead of me than shown here due to the fact that I am running a Moto Minded Dash and Super mount. I fear the hardware used to mount that MM setup to the top triple clamp will interfere with the BRP sub-mount even with the provided spacers. Either way I have a great reference here to work with, many thanks!

As a new KTM owner, your videos have been very helpful. Can I ask what front wheel chock is that and where did you get it? Looks very stout.

Nice detailed video. I think I would just take the forks off completely to make sure everything goes back on square.
Also, that’s a tapered bearing and it needs preload. Just torque to spec. Chances are with your setup, you are going to develop play. Those bearings can take a lot of force without binding.

You are exactly correct. These are tapered bearings and after my first ride they did need to be snugged up quite a bit!

I’ve been looking at getting a steering stabilizer for my 21’ ef350s but I don’t feel comfortable installing it myself even after watching this video.

LOL, thank you so much, take your time and you will do great! I did have to tighten up my headset bearings after riding about 150 miles so maybe snug them up a little more than I showed in this video or at least recheck them after a ride or two. It seems like it takes a while for these bearings to seat in before they quit needing to be tightened. The same thing happened on my 890 as far as needing to tighten headset up after 800 miles or so but now they are good.

Can you tell me what the diamater of the collar is? For a BMW R100GS I need a collar of 60mm, but Scotts do not have a kit for this bike model.

I did install same setup the only issue is that dails on the forks won't turn freely.

You didn’t get the pinch clamp all the way down on the frame has to be flush with top of the the collar the bolt doesn’t tight all the way up when it’s installed correctly just a fyi but great video
