@@JustJamie1983 thats right i like that old memory of that old time when we was enjoying the amiga demos and games thank you for bring me some nice memories
Great games! My first experience with Amiga games was on console CD32! Games played on CD32 was Overkill, Banshee, The Chaos Engine! Later i buyed Amiga 500 with games Swiv and Battle squadron! Amiga have great games, love Alien breed Tower assault, Turrican, Ruff N Tumble!
Got to like 6 and was wondering where Apidya was gonna slot in, Good list but Project X so low why? I also agree with Mattileppamaki... No Xenon 2 is blasphemous lol Also no Rubicon...
Hello rediscover the Amiga in all its glory of yesteryear and even better, Winuae, with plugins looks like a real Amiga with HDDs, the mini remains lol blah blah, but what is strange is how the box falls into bankruptcy despite repeated buyouts, Escom had released the Walker, only to go bankrupt, Samsung didn't even sign, too bad the Amiga is over, there will never be another.
@@JustJamie1983 Oops, it's all a shame, I honestly think that if the Amiga hadn't existed, PCs would still be beeping, PCs being inspired by the Amiga, renaming Workbench Windows and removing the A's to put the window and added 2 keys f11 f12.
The best for me was Project X, I even have the original soundtrack on CD from Allistar Brimble. Desert Storm is kinda cringe, I guess, it was still alright back then to have games based on genociding people.
Desert Storm? I presume you mean Desert Strike. It was a great game, there is no verb "to genocide", and although it was blatantly inspired by the 1991 war in Iraq it still wouldn't make sense to say the game had anything to do with genocide. Perhaps you are referring to Saddam Hussein's persecution of certain ethnic/religious groups within his own country?

Some other excellent (imo) Amiga shooters not listed are:
Disposable Hero
Battle Squadron
Hybris
Blastar
Mega Typhoon
Datastorm
Uridium 2
Lethal Excess
Seek And Destroy
X-Out
Z-Out
Ziriax
Overkill
Good shout on Disposable Hero. Love that game.
Criminal that Uridium 2 didn't make the Top 21. It's a Top 3 game all day long and one of the hardest schmups ever made.
It's all subjective 😉
what i really like about amiga is the sound ...
Excellent sound chip for sure and personally think it was much better than the ST.

Always loved the style of Saint Dragon, cool idea.

To be honest. The CD32 was an A1200, most Rememberable Amiga games were on the 500. I have many emulator setup guides for the Amiga.
I was never more in a zone with an Amiga shootemup as I was with Apidya. I completed it the first time I played it. 😮
Tough game. That's an achievement.
Where ist Xenon2 Megablast? That was one of the greatest starting from the title music
I agree. But I had to stop somewhere haha
Nice Selection...
Hey, thanks. I do try 😀
You Forgot "Deluxe Galaga AGA" Which Should Have Been Placed At Number One. 👍
I agree. Problem is. Their really is just too many decent games on the Amiga.
I'd also recommend a newer game vertical shooter by RETREAM called SkillGrid
I will be sure to check it out. Thanks.
Remember SPHYNX? I spent soooooooo many hours on this one back then!
Hey. To be honest. I haven't heard of that one. I am going to investigate 😀
@@JustJamie1983 Oh I just saw that it's called INTACT!
@DehaAMSG Ah. OK thanks

You know what. I will likely do a part two of this. There's many I couldn't fit in lol
Xenon 2 🏆
Are these all STG? I was search for shmups and I think a few of these are borderline. You missed out some absolutely classic shooters.

A major corporation like Samsung not signing for a niche audience?

That music for Jim Power is a complete rip-off of Ys III "A Searing Struggle", but either way it still sounds good.

Absolutely fantastic soundtracks aren't they.

Please avoid politics on my channel. This is a retro gaming channel.
@@JustJamie1983 Fair enough, sorry.
Hybris.
These games (with very few exceptions) should not have been played in the 90s, let alone in 2023. The Amiga was a disgrace that tortured euro kids.
Very bizarre.
atari owner?
It's a never ending battle. Personally. I keep out of it and can see appreaction for Atari too. I have covered Atari several times.
