He is even 10 times better than Leno with the ball on his feet when playing through the back. Leno's passes at times gives us heart attack but when Emi steps in, we were confident playing at the back....

The most honest truth is, this man has been the missing piece of Argentine squad in 2014. I have tremendous respect for Sergio Romero without whom 2014 squad could have never reached the final but it takes a mad man like Dibu to win the world cup. When everything else failed, when the score was equalized, this man kept calm, let his years of waiting to prove himself light him up on fire and kept his promise to Messi. Messi relied on him so much, anyone can see that because Messi can help others scoring, can score himself but he can't defend the goals and that's why he needed someone like Dibu. Dibu worship Messi and he helped him to win the WC like he promised he would. The entire Argentina NT squad of 2022 are legends but Dibu is something else tbh. After Messi, I hope he becomes the captain.

If management sell Martinez for 10mil, the entire team of management should line up and jump of the bridge - coaching staffs included. It would easily cost significantly more than £30mil to get someone performing at current Martinez's level and that is if you can find one.
Arteta has a very tough problem who to start between Leno, Martinez (None of these 2 wants to sit on the bench & both are very good & "loyal"). But it is a coach's job. He is paid to solve these types of problem.

This man has my utmost respect! I remember how terrible he was in the 7-5 game against Reading, 8 years and a name change ago, back when he was Damian Martinez. I was not surprised since he slowly but surely improved every year. Still though, going from that 7-5 performance to the few he has put in the past few games, just amazing. Unfortunate that it had to come at Leno's expense, but that's just life as a footballer. He's grabbed his opportunity with both hands, quite literally.
