A few (not all) players are mic’d up every game. The NFL has an NFL Films division that does all this alternate video and audio recordings. I actually prefer watching the NFL Films highlights (which are usually available a few days later in shows during the week and in RUclips) since they are more insightful l, high quality and entertaining then the regular broadcast.

9:10 Cole Kmet is an all-business, no-nonsense kind of guy, the last person who would come at someone with off-the-wall stuff. He got drafted in 2020, so he hasn't been around long. The mic'd up guy was pulling his leg about his buttoned-down personality, and he couldn't seem to tell. :)

I can testify that players pose pictures all the time and come up to photographers and want you to take certain shots. They’ll even give suggestions as to where and how to get a good action shot, usually of them of course. I was sideline photographer in college and it was so much fun. I loved getting asked what type of touchdown dance they should do that would look best on camera. I miss those days.

As I understand it, one player from defense & offense is mic'd up every week throughout the season including the SB. Some players have personalities that should be mic'd up. Others know to make a show and some don't want to be bothered but I believe it's contractual. NFL Films take the best of what they get each week, edit and release it on the NFL Network, Films and youtube.

Christopher Wilkinson #94 of the Dolphins won 2 National Championships at Clemson.
He played Defense, kick off team, kick off return team, field goal team, punt team, punt return team, goal line defense. He basically NEVER came off the field.
He BEGGED Clemsons coach Dabo Swinney to let him stay on the field.
He was the GREATEST trash talker in Clemson history.
He was also: -Captain of the Team.
-Wilkins played on offense sometimes on big plays at the goal line. He has thrown a touchdown, caught a pass for a touchdown, ran a ball in as a touchdown, recovered a fumble for a touchdown, intercepted a pass for a touchdown.
-Came back and played his senior year, when he KNEW he could have jumped to the NFL as a first round draft choice at the end of his Junior year.
-Wilkins has 2 BS degrees and a Masters.
-He is LEGENDARY for his work with Children's hospitals in South Carolina, his home state of Connecticut and in Miami.
-Wilkins volunteers as a kindergarten and 1st grade substitute teacher.
He continues to be an AMAZING recruiter for Clemson Football.
Because of Wilkins role model Clemson once again has 3 NFL first round draft picks, coming back to play their senior years, turning down millions of dollars for 1 more year at Clemson.

its not in a players contract to be mic'd up, it is just something the NFL does. usually a few players per game are mic'd up and they try to get different positions when possible. The NFL put out a mic'd up video every week of highlights and there other good fan made videos too if you want to see more.
As for the pools, not every stadium has them. its really just a feature that the designer and owner of the team wanted for the Jags. Also since they are in Florida, which it is usually always warm there year round, they are able to have a pool in the middle of December.

  • @KM91

The pools are mostly exclusive to the Jacksonville Jaguars' home stadium in the NFL. The cabanas for the swimming pools costs like $15,000 for a group. It works for places like Florida because we have warm weather throughout most of the fall.

NFL has at least four players or coaches mic'd up each week. They also have audio guys capturing game sound at every game. NFL also puts out mic'd up videos every week on their RUclips channel. NFL started doing these types of films in around the late 60's, early 70's as another way to promote their sport. Even a starting out director, George A. Romero, filmed video of the Pittsburgh Steelers as a way to earn money. Which he then put right into his debut film, Night of the Living Dead. He also used several Steelers players as zombies in his future zombie movies.
As a definite eye opener, I suggest you watch NFL snow games. Because yes, football is played in the snow.

During the celebration in the locker room the Dodgers thought it would be cool thing to run out and jump in the pool. The Arizona folks hated that and ever since they have posted guards to prevent the Dodgers from "desecrating" their pool.

I'd like to talk about something different. The "Post-Super Bowl Blues". That's the feeling you get after the Super Bowl, when there is no more football to watch on TV.
So, for me, it's time to pop a beer and pop some popcorn and watch a football movie. I suggest "The Replacements" (2000), with Keanu Reeves and Gene Hackman.
It has a little bit of drama, a little bit of comedy, a little bit of romance (have you seen their cheerleaders?), and yes... Football.
It wasn't rated highly by "movie critics", nor did it win any awards, but audiences that were polled after watching it, found it to be fun and entertaining. Check it out...

Green Bay ,Wisconsin is a very small town where the citizens actually own the team. It is much different than any other NFL City. Buffalo NY may be the closest to being like Green Bay. Los Angeles however is a glitz and glamor big city. Houston is a blue collar big city within a huge state of Texas along with Dallas which is more white collar. Tell us what city you're from and we will easily match you with a team here in America.

people don't realize NFL players are hilarious, one of the reasons it's so big in America. Also watch Aaron Rodgers highlights for elite quarterback play.

As a lifelong NY Jets fan, don't become a Jets fan. Unless you like a team that is known for losing and the infamous Joe Namath curse. Joe Namath when asked if he think the team would win the 1969 Super Bowl (The 3rd ever SB) he said "I guarantee we win." The Jets were the underdogs and everyone thought they had no chance of winning. Whelp the Jets did win but at what cost? That was the NY Jets 1 and only time making it to the Super Bowl. The fanbase say the team has been cursed by that guarantee and it can only be lifted once Namath passes away. - ruclips.net/video/riMTb36G84A/видео.html

We do have a Mic’d Up NHL video in storage. Hoping to get it out some time soon. I do love the Mic’d up element. Great way to see a different side to players is what I felt it did
