We are just a family of 3, myself, spouse & a 13yr teen. Got Triber in Sep 2021. Definitely can't compete with Ertiga for space, but my logic was instead of a premium hatchback, why not a modular spacious 7 seater MPV with rear AC vents & at a slightly lower budget as well?! Baleno, Altroz, i20, Polo weren't offering rear AC at this cost. Did a 1200 kms trip with my Parents (5 members) within the first 2 months. Did a 1000kms trip early Dec & again a 2100kms trip around Christmas. It is only 4 months & have already done 6500kms. Able to comfortably cruise at 110-120kms on highway even with 7 people or 5 people+ packed boot. Mileage is 16 on highways, but they claim it will improve once engine gets better set. Space, modularity & ride quality are positives. The slight power lag while shifting gears is negative which everyone would have heard in almost all reviews, but the trade-off here is the better mileage achieved. It also achieved 4 star rating in the global NCAP crash test which was the clincher for me since I wasn't looking at anything below that after owning a '0' safety vehicle for past 12 years & 1.3lakh kms. It is actually rated the safest MPV in Indian market. Too early to comment about service as I have just done the 1st free service only @ 2000kms. Bottom-line is folks, it is our choice, whether we can trade a little engine pep for space, comfort & a decent mileage at a very attractive budget. :)

Hey! Got a question for ya. Did u feel any problem while riding it on highways because of it's narrow wheels? My father declined this car saying that it will give problems on highways for it's narrow wheels.
Usually I hate this segment of car ( a frustrated Datsun go+ owner) but triber really impressed me .... I don't see cost cutting anywhere.... U get exactly what u pay for .. in fact more

Put 7-8 people in the first gear rides easily uphill slow and steady eheheheh still pulling after 13 years!!
6 is still too little, in South Africa we squeeze 10 people in a small sedan car or in a 2 door Fiat Uno

Renault could make cabin space bigger due to small under power 1 Ltr engine. Secondly Omni is carrying 8-10 people in village, so can it b called suitable to carry 8-10 people carrier? It’s good for 5 people with a very big boot space.

Driving a 3 cylinder 1 L engine. 1st gear - 40 kph, 2nd gear - 65-70 kph, 3rd gear - 80+ kph. and you find this engine too noisy 😅

This is a very good value for money car. Already done 8000KMs with it. Totally happy. It has sufficient power to pull with 6-7 adults.

This car can be a wonderful taxi. Fuel efficient, 7 seats, cheap to maintain, spacious, sub 4m benefits and that's all at very attractive price. This is even good as a family car. 2nd row is spacious and get ac vents wow! It can easily replace wagon r in cab market. I hated this car until renault india announced prices. Very vfm
Im not think its suitable for taxi, wher as this will struggle with 7 matured,,. I think the next generation triber, 1.2 /1.5litter version will suitable
Since the engine struggles so much you won’t really get that high mileage so not really efficient and if they want sales they should not open it to the taxi market really hurts the general attitude towards the car .
Taxi owners never prefer this kind of brand...they however will go for Tata, Mahindra, Maruti, Hyundai and toyata and also force motors... As spares and services are easily available... If some how this car finds its way in taxi segment...it will be successful only when Renault upgrades it's engine to bigger one with Cng or diesel engine...this small engine will give poor fuel economy when pushed hard to carry 7 adults....
I think if this gets Diesel then people will consider for Taxi services

If a 35bhp 800cc Omni can lift heavy goods and people, why can't this 1 litre 72bhp be more than enough to pull. Remember ur driving this car on Indian roads and not in German autobahn. U hardly get the chance of going above 120kmh even on highway. So it's bang for ur 💰.
And you also forgot that omni weights only 785kg & this weights 950kg.
Also omni is rwd which gets more benefit & better power delivery in hilly areas.

But I don't think just a increase in 150kg of weight will affect that much performance as it has a much improved 72bhp when compared to 35bhp and higher cubic capacity and also higher torque at lower rpm. And to ur knowledge Omni takes 0-100 in 37 seconds while this one takes 16 seconds. What I'm telling is when Omni has done it for years with such small capacity why can't this do?

A lot of people or rather channels, to be precise, reviewed the car but they never delivered their opinions in an unbiased manner. The result? Well, i still hated the car. Then, i stumbled upon your vlog. Your content is unbiased and raw. I love that. Keep it up.

Wish it was a RWD like the Toyota avanza. A 60/40 front row seating arrangement assisted with dashboard mounted gear selector means the 3rd row seating can take off permanently. Turbos are now a thing of the past. The lovely 3 pot mill can however use a 10kgm ISG. All that for a lakh rupees more would still be a stunning package.

@@sumitmohapatra359 not much used because of lockdowns. it is a low budget good car. 1000 CC is good for highways and automatic you will be comfortable for slow gear changing city drives. so far no faults. 1.5 years and 6000 kms , second service done

Bro this is not a safe car, its weight is less than a 1000 kg, no crash test done yet. Remember kwid had 0 star rating in crash test. This might not score well as its made and same platform and used same materials. Sorry to say this so upfront. I was about to buy this but i din. Tata nexon has 5 star rating.i opened its hood and saw engine while a.c was on. I was shocked to see how much engine noise and rattling was there. The whole engine was literally shivering badly. I don't know how much this will perform in long run. If u dont believe me google for triba accident photos and see how badly it has performed in recent accidents. All its A B C pillars are just for looks. No strength. The whole car collapses like its made of paper. M not a hater, i really liked this car but i later realized all these things after research. I am just writing this comment to make people aware that safety is also something to consider before buying a car.
Renault has done a "good job" in paying you. Technically it's not a 7 seater its a 5 seater. You can either use the middle seat or the rear seat, people can not sit in both the second and last row together. No leg space at all. Nice try in hiding this.

Tbh, this is a great car! Underpowered only on paper when compared to rivals and when travelling full of people and cargo.
Otherwise, this car is a great proposition for people upgrading from Alto/Kwid and similar vehicles.

This is indeed a valid replacement to omni,versa etc..although crash norms are awaited,but still way good and Renault has exceeded expectations with good interior,rear ac vents and even keyless entry with good ground clearance..A practical city seven seater and i think renault has cracked it well
I think bolero b6 is best option. Because I have took test ride of triber it does not pull when it has 4 persons and a Baby 😅
And according to indian conditions that is hilly areas it can't perform nice.

if you ask me,, this car is far better than the ertiga , bcuz ertiga being a 7 seater can't offer safety and feels very "not value for money" ,,but this TRIBER, with top model under 9 lakhs, is the BEST!!!!

A very practical car in terms of utility and budget. But I personally think Renault Triber's 999cc engine with 71bhp/96Nm performance is underpowered considering its a 7 seater multi utility car.
A 1199cc engine or atleast 80+bhp and 110+Nm torque would have been better according to me.
It's main selling point is aggressive pricing on utility and it's major sales have come from tier 2&3 cities which is a plan gone right in favour of Renault.
Seriously but if ur planning for 7 seater car dont buy this because last row of seats literally does not have space.. And 7 people will never travel with luggage and there is no boot space.. My frnd own this car and is very much disappointed by this car.. With seven peoples engine struggles.. 1000 cc engines to ab hatchbacks m bhi nhi ati.. This car only have feafure and nice price... No power. No space. No practicity

I am happy withis car as an owner of triber RXZ it offers more than it's competitors and full paisa vasool product and don't compare it with innovative or ertiga bcoz for that price if renault launches a car the engine could be like kolios with comfort.its an excellent car.i will ask more people to buy it for the value it offers moreover we or not going for racing or drag race we need comfort and safety with a good performance that this car offers.overall in one word superb for the price
