The way that car accelerates up to that speed is something else. This has to be one of the best autobahn cruisers out there. Great video, looking forward to seeing what else is to come!
289hph my god that's 180 mph what an amazing car, well done Joe good to see someone really testing the cars potential.
That B7 is some tool, the interior is seriously nice too. There is something about Alpina which just says class, the improved performance, ride and handling along with interior refinements is what this company does better than any other! Great insight Joe, thanks for sharing it.
You can go back to flashing on the autobahn, lol

I am driving my Alpina from Moraira Spain to Buchloe Germany. Looking forward to visiting the factory and seeing some of their latest models.
Always loved Alpina, such a unique company. For me this car is so much cooler than a 760.

289....braking....= twitchy arse time....x2....does Robert know what he's let himself in for! Great stuff, gotta laugh, brilliant. M4 DTS, I think those m colour decals are great, that's what BMW need to do, stand out and say move over! One last thing Joe, I would have thought you would have had a space, upstairs at the Museum with your name on it!! Looking forward to more Alpina.

definitely a next step from my 740li 2013 as I believe the interior makes a big difference, I was thinking to get an Audi A8 but feel this is a better choice...thank you for amazing video...

My dad was caught doing 140 back in the early 90s in his e32 b12, but he had slowed down quite a lot because of the undercover cop was in his way. My dad was very very lucky just to get a big fine and 6 points.

As usual high standard of content filming and editing. Although it is good seeing you floor these monsters from probably the best car manufacturer on the planet. Handling is what it’s all about for most drivers. A bit more on turn in and exit speeds. Great job Joe us-petrol heads are a dieing breed!
I would love to own and drive this on daily basis. It looks like an awesome cat for everything.

damn thats quick! its a 7 series and it got up to 289 like its nothing.
Great car!. Take the A31 if you want an empty Autobahn. Close to the Dutch border. My plan is to play there many times with my new M140i (get it in June).

Living in the U.S. How often would i get up to 175 MPH however, I currently have a X5M and it's quite obvious, the performance with Alpina is far more superb. I often get up over 120 MPH but, with the B7 I can get there quicker and slow down faster. Great video..

Lovin' your reviews of the Alpina products. Great stuff. They've only just started officially selling Alpina cars here in Australia. Looking forward to more....Any chance of you considering a comparison between equivalent Alpina and Hartge models?
Yeah hopefully coming to oz end of the year, might get my hands on a B3s and drive up the east coast :-) Hartge are a tiny company in comparison, all LHD too I believe?
Sounds good. Head over to Birds (www.birdsauto.com/) in Buckinghamshire. They are the Hartge specialists in the UK. They also install Quaife ATB LSDs (BMW/Alpina use Drexler units) and do their own suspension tuning for the UK roads. From what I've read it really transforms the cars. So would be interesting to get your thoughts on the differences between the two if your able to hook it up.

I think of Alpina as a beast in a tailored suit
Robert mentioned a German word "Überholkraft". Never heard of that and I am german. Probably he means "Überholprestige". This is common and means the prestige your car has if somebody looks in his back mirror on the autobahn and sees your powerfull car flying down the autobahn. So if you have a high Überholprestige (e.g. Porsche), the cars in front of you will change the left lane for you faster.
What would be your choice for daily? The M760 or the B7?
I didn't spend much time in the M760, I would have to say B7 for now, unbelievable car!

Very similar straight line performance, this is quicker over 150mph though... I have to say this is somehow more agile and goes very sideways :-)
Do they do public tours of the factory Joe, or is it by invitation only?

In my opinion its a much better car dynamically, its 4 wheel steering etc means it handles more like a proper sports car than a limo with stiff suspension and big tyres.

Yeah these are the winter wheels/tyres with 20", the summers are lovely looking 21's :-)

I love the car and will purchase one soon....i have waiting two yeas. But Alpina should consider getting rid of that ugly flag it does fit with such a lovely car. The skoda bage looks better than the Alpina bage...should not be. Can you tell us where the factory is and can anyone go for a tour. Thanks

Pablo Emms. I had to (use the Bosch converter app). But it was nice to be spot-on just going off how quick the signs were passing. I'm a wasted talent unfortunately. Only rich kids become race drivers.
