These machines are better to work on then the others, you don't have to do much maintenance on them, we have a bowling alley here in Cedar rapids iowa that has string bowling, never been there yet but it looks like they reset better than the regular one
Also the thing is you don't have to worry about your bowling ball getting stuck with a pin blocking the ball return, you ever had to wait along time for your ball to come back after throwing it
These machines are awful. I suppose it’s fine for a game room type setting or a bar or perhaps place like Dave & Buster’s maybe. Certainly not for league play or above. Very good video of it! 👍
Thanks :D I'm totally on your site, string pins are only for fun... Except these newer ones from Qubica and Brunswick, but there also not the best after all, and certainly not for any kind of League Bowling.
Die Seile in dieser Maschine sind zu kurz. Sie müssen bis zu jedem Punkt der Kugelgrube reichen. The strings in this machine are too short. The strings must reach every corner in the ball pit
Doesn’t make sense… Brunswick stringsetters with AMF masking units?…. I mean Brunswick 2K masking units with AMF setters are fine like THUNDERBOWL from PBA
I never love these String Pinsetters, Free Fall Pinsetters are better, doesn’t matter for the maintenance costs cause its mechanic’s fault and I hate seeing these pins being trap with string that had no efficiency of proper Pin Action.
Absolutely true. The only reasons I Film these is, 1st. of all, I find it somewhat satisfying, how the pins get "cycled". And the 2nd. point is, that I don't have any free falling bowling alley's near me... Also this bowling alley is kinda old, so you dont get that pin action, that you get on newer string pinsetters. But yeah, you do get some pretty rigged shots, on string pinsetters...
@@peekingshaamen I don’t have problems of you recording close ups cause I love people doing those, although it’s not the same if it’s stingpins. Idk if how the Leagues where you lived felt about Stringpins cause there’s no way Leagues would bowl on those.
Now I’m worried that the center I bowled at would eventually switch to Strings in the near future cause they had AMF 82-90 XL Free Fall pinsetters being poor maintained and their center is meant for casual anyways. So Idk about their upcoming plans but I’m feeling it.
@@PinoyBowlerGS92 I actually don't bowl in any leagues, it's mostly just for fun, and i dont think so that string pin would be allowed there, but i really dont know. I worked in a bowling alley for 4 years before covid. I'll be honest. I always sucked at bowling. Now as an arthritic 60 some year old I'm even worse. Kick arse at customer service desk though. I had a lot to learn. So about the alley, I learned to bowl there as a teen. It's ancient. It has the old tumbler free fall setters and mechanics who know how to fix them - 24 lanes. Personally I don't think one customer would enjoy this setter. Speaking of old I had a 94 year old leaguer named Helen! The senior leagues were lifers! I showed the video to the owner and he said Quibica was spending a lot of money in marketing these. Even if there is no real deadwood, these things look like ghost pins. PLAIN CREEPY!
Huh sounds really interesing... To be honest with you though, this lane is not purely made by AMF. There are some parts from Qubica in there, but the rest, like the pinsetter or something, is probably made by Funk, a german Bowling Alley Company... but then again, i don't know for sure... \_(°-°)_/
String pinsetters are garbage. If you want a good pinsetter, the QubicaAMF XLi Edge, Brunswick GSX, or Brunswick GS-NXT are your best options. Freefall pinsetters are more authentic, and strings ruin the true gameplay of bowling.
as a bowler i understand you but elctricity cost for a normal pinsetter like on my case the Brunswick GSX are really high and if you don't get enough profit you may not be able to maintain the lanes something that doesn't really happen with string pinsseters
Awesome video dude I love string pinsetters
That 7-10 split conversion looks kinda illegal

Nice!
Thank you! ^^
I was a five pin bowler for 10 years and now this is my 11th year.
I got a question, what is that Bowling Alley? I know it’s in Germany or whatever it’s in.
Hey, what do you mean by, what is that bowling alley?
And yes it's located in germany.
@@peekingshaamen I was wondering what Bowling Alley name it is.
You can message me Instagram @peekingshaamen, if you want to. I'll tell you there. :)

I rewound that four times 🤦🏼♀️
Where the shield thing that goes in front of it when it lifts the pins up?
On this lane you could slide that thing to the left, so its basically behind the masking unit of the left lane.
Can you do more of these types of videos please?
I sure will make more videos... :P

That's the point. These lanes were built using only "the best" materials from every manufacturer. But that was 20 years ago, so...
i wish the 6-7 could be that easy
