The post-song commentary and recontextualization of this mix as another loop in a never ending cycle has honest to god bumped this up into one of my favorite final escape takes. It gives the song as a whole that feeling of helplessness that I’ve loved since the original Sonic.exe games because even when you win, you still lose in the end

i really like the commentary with how this trope has been done over and over again and will likely continue for the foreseeable future. i also like Xenophane’s characterization here where he sympathizes with BF from both of their position to repeat the same song and dance (literally) again and again, but he still prefers to torment him despite the situation they are both in. (Also the song is amazing too!!!) Probably the best FE remix i’ve heard thus far, i really do love it
I love the idea (what I came up with anyways) behind this version of the song. I have a strong feeling that the voices are actually BF himself and then Xeno, the way that it’s worded makes it similar to the end of the video where Xeno talked about being trapped in the cycle forever, but that he could still torture BF. The cycle being that, since the mod was cancelled, that there would never be an official conclusion to their conflict, though we have a partial bit of the song to go off of, we’ll never see a canon ending to it.
Forgot to add this, but the “masses” referred to in the lyrical part are obviously the community that was surrounding the mod, clearly disappointed yet understanding of the mod closure, but they still wish to seek out an ending, so the community makes their own endings. But since none of them are “canon”, it’s not a true end, leaving these two in a perpetual loop.
THIS REMIX IS AMAZING, I LOVE IT! from the inclusions of Lord X & Fatal Error, to Sonic (I think?) singing at the halfway point, finally to the ending sequence where Xeno is all melancholic before pulling a "YOU THINK YOU CAN CONTROL A *GOD*?", which then he, I'm assuming, tortures BF for all eternity with the other evil EXEs
Just found this channel when stumbling onto a new fnf monster of monsters ost upload on this channel and I didn't realize how fucking cool some of these old fan made recreations of final escape before the final one came out including this one!
This is L I T E R A L L Y peek!!! It's so unique from all of the other final escape remixes I've heard! Most sound really generic with the same final escape melody playing over and over throughout the entire song, but this remix is one of the few remixes where it sounded more original and life full! Great work! (you just earned a sub ;) )
