I really want to see them do "What if the other half was snapped instead". Could be one of those "bad ends" since Dr Strange didn't see them succeeding in that timeline.

I am so hyped for season 3 already. Kinda thought this red guardian + winter soldier episode would be in season 2. Because in the intro to these episodes you can see him in one of the shattered glasses in the top left hand corner. In any case, season 3 will rule. Really hop they also do the "What if Surtur attacked Earth?' episode, I saw that draft online.
Ya form that leaked concept art we got which looks like we were going to get those episodes in season 2 but we didn't because of the time crunch from the looks of it.

@KobeMoreno also there was a concept art of Shang Chi and a bunch of characters in a post apocalyptic setting that we haven't seen yet, it also had Skrulls, maybe a what if they took over.

We need more Winter soldier Bucky in the main time line
This show proves that no matter if its live action or animated, a good written story is what audiences want to see on screen. No amount of cgi or special effects will ever outweigh a project that well written.
I've been a DC animated fan since Batman the animated series when I was a kid and this went on for a long time, I just couldn't get into Marvel's early animation attempts save for X-Men, but then the MCU happened and I loved their movies. This really is taking two things I love and smooshing them together.
Imagine Batman in this art style. You seen how dark the night scenes are imagine a beautifully hand painted Gotham. This art style and the Spiderverse is just perfect for comicbook hero stories.
Season 2 has been great both the new stuff and the returning characters. This and Loki have been Marvels best this year. good news that season 3 is coming - also great breakdown videos Paul and MT, much appreciated! (But maybe also do the first 3 eps in one bumper video 😅)

For those confused. So they had other episodes some completed and some not that originally were supposed to be in this season. Just like last season. Whether because of time or just choice they will pass it off to the next season. Honestly wish the seasons would be long but happy with what we get.
I hope to see Quicksilver in WHAT IF Season 3.

I just saw the clip a few minutes ago and it's great to see the gang back together. This almost feels like Thunderbolts teaser in What If...? Love the joke to Fast and Furious on the license plate.
I wonder if What If s3 will come out before or after Thunderbolts. It'll be interesting to see Bucky & Red Guardian team up in 2 separate projects lol.
That's what I was thinking. If it comes out before it could be Marvel playing with the dynamics between them before they appear in the movies. Either way, can't wait to see them

I love What If? I’ve loved the second season so far, I loved the first season. The only thing that kind of bums me out is that Spider-Man didn’t make an appearance in this season.
I grew up in the Rocky Mountains in the US. My dad was a cowboy, we had horses, fixed fences, hunted, fished, and all that. Then I joined the Army and moved to Atlanta after haha. I’m extremely happy to see a western themed Marvel episode. Are there other Marvel western themed things? If anyone knows I’d appreciate it.

We did see the Red Guardian in the new intros for Season 2, so I assume he’s in Episode 9. I highly doubt this is real Season 3 footage, but there’s still a chance. And also, if this isn’t real: whoever animated it is INSANE.

There were scenes where he killed Gods but they cut them, although I would love to see episode What if Gorr killed all the Gods where Gorr manages to get his wish from Eternity to cleanse universe of all Gods

I get that they're getting us used to seeing Bucky with the Black Widow gang for when we see him in Thunderbolts, but this makes me kinda sad that we didn't get BuckyNat in the MCU.

What If Captain America encountered the Red Guardian. When Steve went back to return the Infinity Stones and stayed in the past to be with Peggy, he was working undercover under a different name. The Red Guardian infiltrated the facility he was working on and escaped. The fight suspects that another Super Soldier is working with the US government as Isaiah Thomas had been in prison&assumed that it could really be Captain America. Instead of actually acquiring the Tesseract, the Red Guardian acquired the capacitors similar to what the Red Skull had used in WWII, the same capacitor was going to be used for warheads on SHIELD's WMD missile against Thanos. So the stolen capacitors end up powering the Red Room's Air Fortress as they already have the designs for SHIELD's HeliCarrier.
I feel like what if? (like the rest of the mcu) really neglects the winter soldier so I'm glad this is coming. Always thought it would be funny to see red guardian and winter soldier team up

Id love an animated verse for marvel… same artist and directors but similar to what DC is doing just create an animated verse with its own story and plot.. make the movies connect. I’m sure they could compete with spider verse and TMNT, can’t see it not being at that level of entertainment.
