Surprisingly, with the exception of the mower deck, this machine looks identical in construction to my Yazoo Kees 42" mower! (The Yazoo Kees deck is thicker steel that can't be stamped into shape like this one. It's all welded). I do know that the belts for a 42" Husqvarna are the belts that I have to order now that Yazoo Kees is no longer in business.
I followed these instructions and was able to replace the drive belt. The only thing I would add is, make sure the new belt doesn’t get twisted between the idler and tension pulley. Smaller hands would also help, It’s kinda tight in thereDefinitely don’t need to drop the pto clutch, just take off the mower deck belt, electrical plug and clutch keeper bracket, just like the video says.
Hmmm, i was using my neighbors husky 54 inch to mow his yard while they are away and the belt came off. I put it back on, but something seemed off because it didn't wrap around one motor pulley as much as the other. looking at your video i think he's missing an idler pulley. i'll have to check the yard.😁

Thanks for your concern John. That's probably the dirtiest that mower has been. I usually try to wash my mower every few times of using. But that mower is about 15 years old so it's looking a little worn.... FYI after 15 years I sold that mower for $500 less than I paid for it brand new so it must not have looked too bad.
