We're on the cusp where a mobile SoC can begin to replace the typical consumers computer: Have a top end 8Gen3 mobile phone, adequate storage a proper desktop mode (Dex), wireless KB/Mouse, wireless projection to a monitor - and software or SaaS (such as Adobe CS, M365, etc) and you're good to go. Now for the working professional, then an RDP session to a cloud hosted Win10/11 would be needed or an admin could just run LInux direct as a desktop UI.

Problem solved, M4 kick out of this chip from the market (regardless the basic M4 still have less amount of cores, so still not a 12 cores against 12 cores comparison.. also if you aware of that they already announced the Snapdragon X Plus as a cheaper chip, you can be sure the X Elite wasn't even the basic M2/M3 competitor, it was the M2/M3 Pro and M2/M3 Max competitor, and they are not performed very well against those chips.. but M4 already on the market, but X Elite still nowhere.. so more and more pointless to make this comparisons, once they release, you will get their true color (so the rumors about the cheated benchmarks etc.. btw it's not exactly a cheat, but the X Elite had cooler, and the Macbook Air was fanless.. so just wait for the real comparison cooler vs cooler and fanless vs fanless..)
