Instead of 'how are you?' ask 'What's been the best thing about your week/day?'
Instead of 'so what do you do' ask 'Any passion projects you're currently working on?'
Instead of 'do you like traveling' ask 'What's one of the most memorable places you've ever been to?'
Place your phone/camera where there's a bit of light coming on your face. Not too harsh so it doesn't create unattractive shadows
Spritz some perfume on yourself. Your date may only see you through your screen, but you'll feel completely different when you know you smell good
And just have fun :)

Funny....I did these "tips" and asked questions, kept the conversation going, made them laugh... Been to 2 speed dating events, no matches.... I don't know? They are fun, but spending money and then not getting any results, at least one match, is annoying. Let alone, to see the positive feedback from the women in these events, even getting close and laughing at my jokes...totally confuses me! I know I am not ugly, I am about average, but come on! what is up? I also...don't think women are so shallow or superficial..are they?? :( I start to question if I am ugly? or it is just something I said? or is it all a numbers games?
😟For men and women that are unattractive, it's going to be a waste of time & money! unless through some miracle, you'll meet someone that doesn't care about your looks!! That's how 99% of people think!! People are extremely visual and judgmental about what we like and don't like!
I clearly would be no good here as I have Asperger's which means I avoid making eye contact and can't understand body language. If a girl like me and flirts with me, I won't understand. She has to tell me that she likes me. I guess I am single at 36 and will always be single.
+1100HondaCB I'm on the spectrum and thinking the same thing but I think I can pluck up the courage to go perhaps I'm not as far along the spectrum or with slightly different symptoms or just more use to forcing my self out side my comfort zone and practised talking to my self and to strangers more. I know I wright a lot of Q and A online.

hi how are you Iv prepared a summary card about me since its going to be hard for us to remember everything after today
(that's provided the organisers let me do that) and mabey say smptoms rather than Asperger's since it gets miss understod and pepole confuse it with autism witch is rather different.
I may say on the card after listing more about me that i'm not good with sublitys and I quite sensitive things feel more intense for me so if I missed something critical or was rude my seances where overwhelmed because of the crowded environment. It makes it harder for me but I do everything I can to work through it to do and achieve the things I care about.
Practised slightly confused look if when I think I missed some thing they said or use worried look if they seem offended.

Though it makes things harder there are still some very successful people with Asperger's particularly programmers but also actors and artists. We stay in working on projects more and learning or we pluck up the cordage to go to conferences or talks.
Iv been shaking before hand and still gone to new and uncertain things and tried them many times. It can be very hard when you get sensory over load and miss things most people see as obvious but possible especially with support and with familiarity you build up a resistance as you get use to things as you know what you can do to get the result you want and let certain things become instinctive practice responses ect talk to the employees more in shops.
It takes up a lot of time to but some of the things you do to improve your symptoms can also help you network.

Travis, speed dating services opened across are actually just sub-dating departments of this franchise many of us have been raised to call "life". And the franchise has seemed to be doing excellently lately, especially in taking into account the population boom last century. However some people lead very busy lives otherwise they simply lack the social skills or esteem to find a "partner" ordinary day to day social settings. So some people like these fine folks prefer to order their product at the drive through joints as opposed to eating a home cooked meal. And we'll know grease, salt, and fat only leads to instant gratification and not long term stability/nourishment. This is a phenomenon known as "sex". But then again, more and more people are relying on fast food to fulfill of their nutritional needs, and sex doesn't always equate to marriage and love(if those things even exist). So let's hope that people like you and I along with the rest of the world cook our food at home.
John Malko do agree with you Mr Malko on most of your reply, I do find it strange that you must find the persons interests are the same as yours, does that make it possible to meet someone, I personally would stay single for life than be humiliated on speed dating
