@@forbeshutton5487 I guess that's how I I forget which one you have of anyway but I have an MRC Tech 6 and the CV2 is the startup volume and then I have my three is the momentum my I'm thinking you're right other than that I know they have the or maybe it's the acceleration they call it yeah that's it three is the acceleration so that comes right after after CV2 but I'm pretty sure it's about the same anyway but yeah that were the only two that I had that f**** with cuz usually the deceleration one works just fine for me and then you got your your all out on the final last one I think but other nap yeah but well off to see more from you talk to you then later so Darren from Wisconsin saying Happy rails there
JMRI's Decoder Pro is a free software you can use to program your locomotives. It has speed tables which can solve your problem with starting speed. There are many videos on You Tube which explain how to use the software.
Istalling DCC decoder to a Walthers GP38-2 locomotive. I don't have Walthers locomotives. Just Atlas, Bachmann, Life Like and Lima 🇮🇹. Kato is japanes.
You just did something i need to do. Never put a decoder in myself so it’s the first time for everything. Thanks for sharing. Have a good day.
Nice Loco, Runs smooth. Bob
Nice Engine I am Thinking Of Getting one.
You got to set your start off voltage and your acceleration so you got to go into your controller and set all that
CV02 controls the start voltage, I use either a value of 0 or 3. CV03 is start momentum, I use a value of 10 for that.

Great video. I don't have any Walthers n scale locomotives yet. I may invest in one
That was easy enough! Looks like it runs good.
Yeah Im happy with it.
