stealing a top comment to make a very pedantic correction/fun fact: newborn babies actually CAN swim, believe it or not. that's obviously not a reason to just toss them in a pool with no flotation device, but humans are born with the knowledge of how to swim, we actually literally just, uhhh, forget how to swim afterwards lmao
made a creeper fear powered machine in vanilla where it would open a door revealing a cat once a pressure plate was stepped on. the creeper would run to the other end, closing the door, hitting another plate that opens another door, with yet another cat. int the middle of the creeper run was a third plate that allowed me to make a crude, and slightly dangerous clock.
this series is weirdly fascinating. I think the combination of your style of video-making combined with the fact I've never seen someone do a challenge like this outside vanilla is a lot of it for me.
"This just has to work, it doesn't have to be an artform" Said while presenting the fanciest redstone timer without using redstone and with the villager in eternal torment (which is a Highbrow Art Theme).

Your jank reminded me when i played a kitchen sink pack. I used a crusher and uncrafter to make infinite blaze rods, since the crusher turned it into 4 blaze powder and the uncrafter turned that into two blaze rods. I was just throwing blaze rods at botania flowers and forgetting them until the flower dtops working, because the rods despawned.
Nah stuff like this is maybe op and overlooked but this wasn’t the reason. When it was removed they cited a bunch of item dupes, with new ones showing up every time they fixed the existing ones
This modpack has so much precise jank like not being able to make a crowbar because you don't have the right color dye... then there's your saviors the Solar Boilers that can be placed indoors without access to the sun. Wow. 10:16 One wonders how you managed to last this long with your base that unlivable... never mind, you started this quest by throwing yourself into the void a thousand times, makes sense you would take time to notice.
29:40 "This just has to work; it doesn't have to be an art form." The only thing preventing that from being a phenomenal piece of avant-garde performance art is that it actually serves a purpose. I might just set something like that up in my vanilla world purely to make it exist.
22:06 "just like in real life babies cant swim very well" did you know babies are actually remarkably not as bad as you'd think at swimming? im mean theyre still really bad, but not as bad as you'd think
Railcraft is very useful for automating things, if you're the kind of person who tries to do everything with cheap early game mechanics instead of gathering lots of resources and you're playing a modpack where all the other automation is expensive. You can make an autocrafter that keeps a certain number of circuits stocked in your chest, using only Railcraft automation.
This episode specifically inspired me to actually pick up and play Gregtech New Horizons unironically. I then proceeded to return to this episode multiple times to figure out why you chose to build your machines in LV the way that you did because holy smokes you weren't kidding about the copper. I'd call you a maniac or a wizard or something for somehow managing to stomach doing all this in Skyblock, but... You know.
I feel like torches and pistons make pretty easy redstone clocks since you can use the length of the piston extending to slow down the tick time of the clock which would also make it not so expensive on redstone but a slippy slide is pretty funny as a solution. Also railcraft trains were pretty stable compared to minecarts and minecart instabillity is pretty much a feature i loved the old cart boosters people made literal proper railing systems once that was discovered and it was real sad when it got fixed for the lamer booster rails. Anyone remember those things?
I know im late but him not using the fact that mobs inside of climbable blocks have no collision and therefore dont suffer from entity cramming is killing me

I felt that conversation on Railcraft. I was really excited when it got a port to modern Minecraft versions! ...because it meant I'd have access to its boilers and tanks. The former of which I suspect is largely not relevant here since GregTech has better solutions. It's not even useful for Coke and Steel anymore; *Immersive Engineering* has that covered.
Maybe I missed something in the previous episodes, I understand how the first bucket of lava was achieved, but how does that become more lava for the smeltery in the future? Alchemy? Machines locked behind alloys?
@@James2210 Oh, I guess that makes sense. I just figured that he meant he could make as much as he wanted, not so much that he could get as much as he bothered to find trades for.
