- Here we are! Thank you everyone for sticking around to see it finished! 3 months is a bit over the original estimate, but I preferred quality over time when it came to it. I hope you’ll agree that it was definitely worth the wait! Thank you so much to the incredible animators and artists that participated! I was surprised to hear that this was a first time MAP for a lot of folks, an absolutely stunning job! I’m so glad we have so many incredible artists and animators in the fandom :)

What do u use to make animations?
3:06 - Benry has NO RIGHT making me feel so sad for him!!! Honestly, whoever animated him in this bit is my favorite of the lot. There's so much raw emotion in his movements, his expression, and the actual visuals themselves are stellar. The Black Mesa Sweet-Voice™ as ghostly blue orbs? His mouth and body distorting into his unknowable and inhuman eldritch form as he cries out in sorrow? *chills*
Benry is falling apart atom by atom the "liquid" coming off him is him destabilizing
One guy pointed out in a comment that blue to purple,due to the rhyming theme of the translation of sweet voice,could mean”it’s not personal”

I'm relatively certain 3:24 is also referencing Benrey's passport which has his name labeled as

@@eliotmoon5321 I mean, gordon was really the only one who didn't die, plus he is basically the player.
Coomer is technically the only "Human" of the AI's.
While his scripted dialouges and Playcoins implies he has these powers and such alongside Coomer Clones powering him. Coomer himself is mostly human with Cybernetic enhancements and abilites that are based around his role in the story by the game. Coomer himself is a Tutorial NPC, so it makes sense in his role for him to be able to to things in certain "hand holding" titles such as being able to skip puzzles, give you invincible powers to beat bosses, ETC.
So TL;DR : Coomer himself is Powerless, it's the Cybernetics in him, alongside his powers as a Handholding Tutorial NPC that makes him Powerful
As much as I love Gordon with curly hair, Gordon with Waynes hair at 3:26 is awsome.

Bee and the animators were so good, really liked bees benreys because it showed a good designed horror element, I love the idea that he has more then 2 eyes when he’s in zen because it does makes sense when he says he’s not human

WOW! I've been waiting for this for a while and am very impressed! The animation is really terrific, I especially loved some of the lip-syncing parts near the end! I also keep rewinding the 3:05 to 3:09 section over and over again... Am a little obsessed with those frames. Major props!

3:34 i love the idea of when everyone's attention is away/when no living thing that is able to comprehend the idea that gordon is there, coomer transports him to a black void, so they can talk privately.
1:33 for some reason, I love this shot. The angle and placement of the characters turn the focus to Benrey who also stands out in terms of colors. How his skin is gray to the normal skin tones of the scientists. How the place is blue and the scientists are wearing bits of blue so that he blends in the background. It's the very thing about Benrey where he was supposed to not stand out but he does in a suspicious kind of way.
It's going to premier in two days, but I know it's going to be awesome.

Holy crap, it took me WAY too long to realize that Virginia's section at 2:17 was in a round. That's why the animated sections aren't the same length for all of them because it's coordinated with who's singing in the round and where they are in the verse. That's an amazingly cool detail that I somehow didn't notice, thank you Virginia Poole

I love this animation a LOT, but one thing got me thinking: This animation wouldn't've happened without Aperture Science's discovery of how to create an interdimensional gateway. Seriously! :)
I've been following this project for some months and HOLY HELL it did NOT disappoint!! This was amazing, so MANY creative animaters that were clearly passionate about the project and oh my gosh theres so MUCH to talk about

My favorite scene is the one at 1:00 where Commer and Bubby are surrounded by the prototypes. Perfection

Loliponki did such a fantastic job with those 2 seconds. The poses for Coomer are very JoJo-esque and it hits right every time.
Can you imagine how terrifying it would be for the the player? They are just a pawn in some sort of AI plan that Benrey made, and all the AI are aware of what is happening. With quotes like "I'm not human" and "There's nothing there..". And all of the AI are personalized from the looks of it, they aren't normal, Tommy is a kid who has a god as his dad, and has a dog. Coomer is some sort of reality bending god. Bubby is pretty much the same as Gordon, as he is just a pawn of black mesa. Benrey is the true god and getting on his bad side either means death or something far far different. The player is just a pawn in Benrey's game and just wants to play HL1, but got a ruined copy of it, causing such lines to be said as "Alright, I'm ending the simulation" and such. This series is a masterpiece, taking something so obscure as HL1, and making a entirely new story out of it, everyone did a wonderful job on this.

Oh my God, so many talented animators! There are so many MAPs that usually have 1 or 2 animators that are obviously starting off and so can't keep up with the quality of the rest, but I feel like this MAP has all of the animators doing their parts with flying colours!

Update: I waited. THIS WAS SO RAD - IT WAS AMAZING!!!!! Props to all those creators who were apart of this MAP, it turned out better than I could have imagined. A personal favourite was spherical Coomer and Gordon. Truly an image that will stay with me until my deathbed.

It wouldve fit more to use the male voice for the song, especially considering how his voice tone fits more but other than that this was awesome. 3:06 How wonderful is this animation...I felt so sorry for Benrey
I know this whole thing isnt meant to have a deeper meaning, but the whole "my enemy is invisible i dont know how to fight" i never saw benrey as an enemy in my mind, the gman is what came to mind. I like to imagine the reason why benrey has no real motive to do anything is because the gman manipulated him and his code to work as the bad guy the game needed, but him acting up the few times he did was him showing how he cares for gordan, even if he knows the role he must play. Also the one where bubby looks beyond the nothing when he uses the rocket just makes me think of the line he said when asked how he would act if he was in a game and all there was was black mesa "we'd kill everyone and take it over" bubby always knew, just like coomer, but pretended he didnt, cause ignorance is bliss. And i love the idea of the reason why you can see a skeleton in the background is cause benrey is abusing his power and his emotions to break the games logic, which is why when the game is over, you get one last message from coomer, cause benrey knows the truth and wants gordan/the player to keep his friends with him. Its a far stretch and really nothing was planned out, but the idea that all these characters knew (except tommy of course) about how they were just characters, but still went along for the ride cause of how much they cared for gordan is a very peaceful and nice idea. which is why i hope they make a sequel, and i hope the first moments that happen in it are gordan giving coomer and bubby a hug, as they say how they missed him.

God, the number of times I've looped this since finding it... I'm watching now in slow speed to better appreciate each frame, the pacing with the song, gaaaah, all of it! It's beautiful! You can see the love from everyone involved, and the entire video just fills me with such joy.
