- Recovery from anorexia is scary as HECK. The unknowns are overwhelming, an ultimate leap of faith.
I've heard many debates regarding a "Come Hell or high water I'm doing this!!" versus "Today I'm going to give recovery 100%... but tomorrow I can always go back" approach. Obviously each person's experience is different, but at this time the experimental giving recovery a try approach is helpful... just for today.

I really liked what you said about not looking for external validation
Thank you! Very easy to forget in the moment though, right?! 😂🤣
I am so with you. I too have tried every way to recover except eating to gain weight today i decided enough was enough but like you the thought of NEVER being able to restrict is too daunting. so like you i thought just this week and if i hate it i will restrict. My 3 favourite films Princess Bride, 28 days (sandra bullock) Eat pray love we can do this just for the week the worst we hate it the best food tastes ok!! either way we can watch princess bride regardless xx
Very true! And I would go so far as to say that "The Princess Bride" counts as a 100% legitimate coping mechanism. 😉👍 Here's to putting up one heck of a fight this week.
@@rachaelerinrecovers6099 absolutely and heres something someone said to me about having a bad day if you had 7 roses and one died would you throw away the bunch? "Inconceivable" 😇 xx
If I could gain weight from drinking coffee, I’d be fine!! Some of my favorite movies are JAWS and Jurassic Park, they just bring back good feelings!
Oh man, I used to be so scared of Jurassic Park as a kid and wouldn't even LOOK at the Jaws poster 😂😆
My 3 favorite monies are “Harold and Maude”, “Isles of Dogs” and “Mirror Mask”
I saw "Harold and Maude" for the first time at a cinema midnight screening in high school! Could barely stay away but remember finding it funny/thought provoking 👍
