Thanks for the review! I own this watch for 2 months now and I really love it. I do actually like the yellow hands. It fits the playfullness of the dial and the colours used just pops. I ve got other watches if I want to wear something more serieus, but at the moment this gets a lot of wristtime! I keep staring at the dial and enjoying what I see.
The yellow is what makes farer farer. If you want a more traditional or safe fleiger style watch, there's tonnes of options for that. Farer plays with colours, some may not like them all. But they shouldn't go back to plain colourings imo
They could’ve still done farer fun with multiple shades of blue. They’ve made more “conservative” matching colored dials before so why not. Sometimes they are just a little too much for me but saves my wallet
@@theknightswatch Just received it today. I really like this watch a lot! Very cool look for sure. Mine is also running at +10 (still in spec). I wish it was doing a little better than this and I may regulate it myself. I picked mine up with a melinese bracelet and a blue horween strap. So far so good and they did a tremendous job. For my first Farer, I'm seeing more in my future.
Haha. There's some watches you put on and you just go 'I'm here to party'. I think this is such a watch... anything else that gives you that feel Sir Knight? 🙂
Archer Brand Ambassador! They owe you man. So no one can say that they don't have an amazing atte ntion to detail and an always recognizable presence. You know it's a Farer without looking at the logo. I think that goes for every one of their watches. I was surprised at how well that fit you; i'd have guessed it would have been more of the "dinner plate" look. The mail thing for me is how thick it looks ( i know it isn't that thick, but it looks it) I hate yellow, but surprisingly I like the hands on these. If I were to buy one it'd be one of the other two models who's names escape me. Fantastic lume... i'm almost tempted now. Great review per usual Xavier.
Haha don’t think I’m quite big enough for them to have to owe me...yet! I’ve never thought about it exactly like that but you are right it’s distinctly Farer. Had they got it closer to 10mm or just made the case a little more ergonomic it could have been an amazing watch.
@@theknightswatch Yes, i can see the benefit of that high resistance to magnetism but for me the drawback is really big. But i really like the yellow hands ;) but then i love yellow, orange and other popping colours ^^
The thickness is not a great tradeoff for magnetism protection. Even if a watch becomes magnetized, it's a simple matter to correct. I'd much rather this be thinner.
After buying a Breitling once I vowed never to buy into a watch which I would lose 25% of its value as soon as purchased, that's my issue with Farer, they may not be expensive for what they are but you will lose a bomb on one if you fall out of love. Maybe a boring mindset but has served me well.
Not a bad thing to live by. Of course anything you collect tends to have interesting mindsets. You never think about the money your clothes have lost of your needed to sell it so why think about your watch. Of course if you are a flipper and like to go through different watches minimizing risk is best for long term but as you said it could be “boring” maybe would prevent you from getting some really fun things that exist out there but losing 20-40% immediately is not fun.
Do they actually lose a lot of value? I feel like I keep a pretty decent eye on the second hand market for Farer and I havent noticed them losing crazy value. But could be wrong

I’m glad you’re enjoying yours it is a very cool watch no doubt! Definitely would own one if I didn’t flip so often!

Farer can learn basic color theory
I just ordered this. I really like the yellow hands. Super differentiated in a world of homages.
Completely agree. Hope you enjoy yours!

In a world of rotating bezel / dive watches. I completely agree.
I agree. I think Farer can overdo it sometimes, but the yellow works well here in my opinion.
@@bigwilliearmitagemy thoughts exactly. Nobody ever dives so why so many dive watches? I’m not overly impressed by the rotation clicking either.
Farer is making some of the most interesting watches on the market. I think of them as a less constrained Nomos.
A like that take, very much so doing similar things.
Dial is great - love the yellow and blue personally. Would have liked a full brush case though.
Really cool design. Farer has a lot of fun.
Just got mine with the milanese strap. Love it! Layers and colors and lume out the ying yang. Kick ass.
The colors drew me into this, looking to get this watch as a birthday present for brother.
Watching this again. Superb analysis. Thank you.
I really dig the dimensionality! Very thoughtful design and pleasantly whimsical with the color choices.
Agreed! Very cool option under 1k pleasantly surprised by the dial quality when it came in
Wonderfully detailed review. Many thanks!😊😊
Not a big fan of yellow, but it works ,some how with the blue.I gotta have it !
I’m surprised there isn’t much review on this watch on RUclips!
I agree. It is an oddball watch but that’s what drew me to it.

Very true. I believe any watch can do that especially with fun colors. My zodiac sea Wolf gives me that same feeling.
@@theknightswatchwhen I see a Zodiac I think this guy is probably a well dressed navy seal or assassin.
u r a magic man 🤣
thank you for your video
Great review. I would love to get one of these on my wrist - I think it looks gorgeous but I'm worried it may be a bit big for me.
It definitely is a large dial. Hard to get one of these to see in person!
I'm trying to find one but nowhere to buy it?? 😢
Great review. Looking to pick this up and your thoughts helped. P.s. what’s with the kettle vibe in the background?! 😉

Can I ask what is your wrist size?
Did you say what your wrist size is?
Beautiful Watch straight out of Mad Men.
As much as i like the colours....why does it build so high :(
P.S. I guess the watch would look nice on a Hirsch Sports strap with yellow stitching.
Definitely not the thinnest! Wish they wouldn’t just taken out the faraday cage and made it a little slimmer.

I'm looking into purchasing the bradfield, can you tell me what is the Lume like, does it last alnight.
Yep some of the best lume
reminds me of a zenith pilot

To each their own. I buy what I like without worrying about resale. But, I've never wanted to sell a watch.
