Hi Nick, that gap between the Annie Road stand and the Main Stand couldn't be closed until all the demolition work at that end was completed as it was the main access point for all the rubble (masonry) that had to be removed. They're working today on the remaining steel work and that corner has additional concrete terracing to be installed as well as circa 150 new seats. Once that's completed it will be closed with internal and external cladding with the lower portion being brickwork the same as the main stand. That new brickwork has been started, it's clearly visible at 2.00 mins. If you refer to any of the 'impressions' I've sent you in the past it will be perfectly clear how it will look when completed. PS. I can resend them if you want me to.
Regarding that gap everyone seems to be focused on. They're building the main framework. Then they'll attach smaller steelwork all over. Then they'll attach the cladding on top of the smaller steels. It's the same process as all the other cladding. There will be no gap when it's finished.
There are a few designed pictures of the outside and how it will look. Cladding is shown right up to the main stand roof support. There is also a drawing showing the engraved stones at SKD end with some stone benches and the new road ..
Thanks a lot man, I look forward to seeing your excellent work every time 👍 Liverpool fan all my life and to be able to watch this is just amazing, keep up the great work, from Ireland ☘️ YNWA.
I think there are safety advantages in maintaining a line of sight for crane drivers lifting materials into and out of the ground. No idea if that's still relevant, but it would make sense.
I have info on the gap. Please see my explanation below. The gap will be filled once all the steel has been passed through. The steel will be used go create a platform for seats in that corner. Once all the corner for seating has been created then their will be no need for the cranes to pass things through and the outside of the gap will be filled in.

Hi Nick, The gap between the main stand and the new stand will be open at the moment for access to the corner in the lower tier, the cladding will be fitted when thats done.
Hi again Nick, the tarmac vehicle has already discharged it's load into a dumpster which is taking it into the undercover fan zone where it's being spread. PS: At 11.09 you're looking directly at where the remaining terracing and seats will be installed, the timber is shuttering for concrete, the blue vehicle that you asked about parked on the access tunnel is just a small cherry picker
Hey Nick brilliant video as usual.I'm a Rangers supporter but have been following your Anfield videos and Bromley Moore dock for a while now.Videos are always excellent and well informed.Keep up the good work Nick all the best Andy
Anyone still worried about 'the gap' just needs to look at the pictures online of how the stand will look when finished. It will be cladded like the rest of the stand.
I agree, it's getting beyond boring all these people saying 'what about the gap?' when you can see renders on This is Anfield and elsewhere which clearly show outside and inside the stadium that the gap will be enclosed. They had to get the upper tier off and knock down part of the access stairway before they could even start on that corner. The 'gap' isnt load bearing structurally and esentially, will just be a metal clad wall.
I don't know why anyone's confused by the gap between the main and annie rd stands; it's being filled in. That's what that steel structure being built is for- to allow for more cladding. You can see it quite clearly on the images of the finished designs.
I was about to say the same thing - the White Crane there is lifting Steels to the roof area but need steel 'inside' to replace the old structure/roof that came out with the upper tier... They had to wait until the roof came off to build up that 'now' much greater gap... Couldn't build with the old roof, upper tier still 'attached' and work to do inside requiring Steel there, so now they are getting on with that 'build' on that section - hence the big crane and all the Steel around... LOL
It would be great if you could zoom in through the bits at the rear of the stand where the cladding is still missing to have an idea of what the view would be like from the back row
The gap is due to the steelworks needed in the inside. Once the steelwork has been completed the cladding will continue and the brickwork will then be done.
when you were talking about and showing the GAP the last load of tarmac from the lorry was taken out into the dumper and driven into to the stand so they must be laying it in part of the ground level of the stand, quite funny really but I suppose its the small screen you are looking at for the drone
Hi Nick. Great video. Much appreciated. I have left a comment on KC's video today. Just some random views I had about the gap. One thing you mentioned about the brickwork progress being all over the place. Just my theory and probably way off. If you look at the main stand facades. I think they have electrics running through the columns, think for cctv and lighting. I've not been over for a few weeks. Maybe they have to wait for electrical work to be signed off before they can close up the columns/pillars. Just a thought. Keep up the great work. Myke and the kiddos
Think you may be right about it being left open for access. It's a long way round to have to walk it or drive the smaller machines. I think it will look real nice once its all finished. Loved these videos. Thank you so much. I might try and get all them the together from the first to the last. Me and my mam were there for Vs Inter Milan so it great to see and follow the work from that point on. I still don't know why some fans say FSG out. Just look at what they have done for the club and the area of Liverpool. When I first went in 1997, (said with the greatest of respect) it was a great place in terms of how it all looked. I remembered an ally way and walls which lead down to the pub. Maybe it's just cause its my club but I truly think it looks absolutely beautiful. You know when ya getting old when you admire buildings more and more. YNWA!
Great video as always Nick, I’m sure the new corner seats, pitch floodlights, roof edge cladding, LFC sign etc… will have to be installed while the cranes are on the pitch before the protective pitch boarding is removed. Nick can you please zoom in on the flood lights when they are installed. Thanks in advance. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
There's minimal floodlighting under the roof of this stand because the main floodlighting is along the roofs of the MS and SKD. The old ARE Upper tier had 8 small floodlights to even the lighting out. They were not big and it's unlikely to need cranes to install these.
A couple things. 1: I have a stone but it's outside the main stand. I have been over to see it a number of times. Always give it a clean when over. When the ARE is completed, if you could do a complete circle of the ground and show where the stones are, I can use that to show the family where mine is. Ta. 2: Inside the ground where there was a blue works vehicle parked between the Main Stand and ARE, that has always been an access area. They use it to roll the lights in to grow the pitch. Also, for any other vehicles needed inside the ground. I imagine that is where the vehicles will come through to relay the pitch when done. Keep up the good work MD.

If they're using the existing lower tier for the away fans, why have they taken some seats out? Also, hate the idea of inscribed stones. There's something very mendicant about the whole thing; it's undignified.

Is there a Corporate section in the middle of the stand there? No balconies included I guess, & if the away section is staying there best make the glass bullet proof? 😂😂😂
No. It's a wheelchair viewing platform that will effective run the width of the stand. At present, while the wheelchair platform for away fans is raised giving them a decent view, home fans in wheelchairs were at pitch level. However, the first 4 or 5 rows in the middle of the new upper tier will be premium seats including hospitality.
@@1701_FyldeFlyer Thanks for that info. You see so many clubs putting corporate facilities into newly built stands these days that I thought it was worth asking. Its good to see disabled fans being well catered for in this instance.

You. Of all people. You could have seen how Anfield will be.
On them stone's getting laid and are ingraved do you no how to get 1 can I buy 1 get 1 done if so do you no how I do it
Why is it taking so long to build this stand ?
How on earth Taylor Swift gonna perform here in Summer 2024?
Anfield is a patch work dump😂😂😂
As other have said the gap is getting filled once the secondary steels are up, it will end up looking like it does in the visualisations:

You know what be nice as we're being watched all over the world it should be sky on top then but sports or tnt sports soon then bein under that and it'll give them a great view of the 🏟️ now one thing I'll disagree with Jürgen on is putting viewing screen in the 🏟️ area as some people miss a goal then also we can use the crowd for var in our favour 😂 and here I went to purchase one of those stones they are all sold out even the most expensive ones like 1200£ all gone honestly. But Mr Drone thanks mate you're a good sort tbh with the rest of the fellas and I know it's footage for you and you're a blue 💙 but thanks but one question why to from 39,450 and just add 12,000 seats have they designed it in a way that is AVE when they sell it every game have they put it in the drawings that the roof comes off and 💥🤯 another tier I hope so mate and best of luck this season as I know a lot of reds that wanted you to go down never me though honestly I live the passion from Liverpool I call Liverpool Dublin with an accent 😂😂🤣🤣🇮🇪☘️🇮🇪 and by the way f the Tories David in Dublin surrounded by a load of toffees ever heard of lads from glastoole I don't know what is in the water but their all blues. Anyway I've taken up enough of your time if you ever need a Question ❓ answered about building I'll try helf that white rock board under the cladding is fireproofing it's made from glass fibre it's water proof to save is what we call it is til backer board or some builders call it cement board exec though theirs no cement at all in it and it's in the plans because the status are plastic and remember Ibrox we don't want that again even though I'm a Celtic fan never again. Those who don't learn from History are doomed to repeat it. Thanks mate honestly 💯💙❤️🙏☘️🇮🇪⚽⚽⚽
