- Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman responded to the bitter debate in the Lok Sabha on the Rafale deal with a sharp counter-offensive. Taking on the Congress, Sitharaman blamed the party for spreading falsehood and ignoring national security concerns when it was in power. She alleged that “something did not suit them” which stalled signing of the deal with French aircraft manufacturer Dassault during the UPA rule. She also countered the allegation that the NDA government reduced the number of Rafale fighter jets to be purchased from France. “The UPA government wanted only 18 flyaway fighter jets. What did you say same price for 126 & 36 comeon you don't have any idea about defence, look into the aircraft pricing by previous buyers Saudi & other countries.

Let us say you have a product you sell it for 1000inr & I ask for 10inr but you did not accept so does it means the price is 10inr.
What we bought is flyaway aircraft that is comes up with missiles, avionics look at the pricing of meteor and magic missiles. Search in Wikipedia or any source for rafale jet price. Congress played with national security & they tried to make a deal like other defence scam they did endangering nation China & pakistan increased in this period.
Not only this it is procured in emergency & 50%offset provided so the company has to create infrastructure in India to produce future rafale aircraft for that there are multiple partners from tata, to many small companies even reliance involved it is completely new technology so all the companies are new to it, Congress is playing with national security telling lies repeatedly so people tend to believe.

We as citizen now have responsibility to convey the answers to all our fellow Indians who may have not understood because of language. We should raise questions to know why deal do not happen in 10 years of UPA so that no government takes defense on granted. There should be INQUIRY ON DELAY CAUSED

I am a supporter of our PM Mr Modi but somewhere along the way I suspect that there had been some miscalculations. The convoluted explanations of Smt Nirmala Sitaraman is not entirely convincing. I don't for a moment believe that there has been any corruption but if there is a problem in disclosing some operational points then they should have made them clear to the judges of the Supreme Court in extreme confidence.
I am extremely disappointed to see and hear Rahul Gandhi in Parliament. He is extremely childish and inexperienced in matters of state. He has not yet risen to the intellectual level required of a Prime Minister.
