@@debbieporter8610 I don't get why you capitalize each word in your sentence. But seriously, I agree to a point--I *wanted* to scream, but I restrained myself.
My mother went to see Elvis in the early 70’s when I was a small child. I guess she couldn’t find a sitter because she took me w/her. I still remember this because to me it was so confusing & a little bit scary. At that age I could not understand why my mother was screaming & crying. We knew the lady who sat next to us & my mother asked if she would watch me while Mom went to the stage. She returned sobbing & had a scarf that Elvis had given her, one of the token ones he gave to the screaming women. I wondered if someone had hurt her but no, Mom had gotten a kiss on the cheek. She did not wash that cheek for weeks & covered it with a waterproof bandage whenever she took a shower. Decades later I still remember this so vividly. I will never forget the affect Elvis had on my mother!
How Priscilla can tell Austin that Tom Parker was nice I don't know he certainly did a snow job on her so he bought her a cake and such was she there after 72 NO

Austin did a fantastic job portraying Elvis. As he was talking, sometimes you can hear Elvis' voice come through at interviews. He stated that hecisca quiet guy, that he is a wallflower. He said he could not even dance, but that's okay...just swing those hips. He is adorable and humble. Austin really was able to feel Elvis' soul. His playing Elvis is as far away as his playing Tex in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. Amazing. What a humble man he is but then again, so was Elvis. Elvis loved to entertain. Austin did such a good job with all that energy Elvis had that after he finished the movie, he got sick. I was not disappointed.
Elvis always said he couldn't dance either. True, he didn't know how to do formal dancing, but whatever he felt in his soul came out of his body, and he couldn't control it or even know what he was doing.
As Tex, when on the horse talking to Brad Pitt, you get the feeling he's edgy and maybe dangerous. Then later on the car when Leo is telling at him to move the car he seems confused and apologetic. It's only when the crazy girls tell him it's Rick Dalton that he gets excited. When he's holding the gun and saying I'm the devil, its like Austin flipped a switch and became evil. Austin Butler is an amazing man. I love this interview and how humble he's expressing himself concerning his parts in the movie along with others in the movie. I could just listen to him talk all day. And the way he talks he's not all about himself. He seems very kind and has a good heart and an outstanding personality. He sounds like a very sincere person and I hope he stays that way. I've never had children but if I had children I would have loved him to be my son. He did an outstanding job in that movie. After seeing the movie just the other night, my insides were actually quivering for the next couple of hours. That's how completely powerful the movie was. Every single actor was outstanding! Most especially Austen. I'll be seeing it again. 🤩 Thanks for a great interview, guys 🙏

Austin Butler Amazing amazing actor I have never seen an emotional delivery so real that I managed to live that time for more than 02:30 minutes dancing dancing singing acting with faces and mouths and visceral expressions a spectacle of acting Elvis Presley deserves this star that appeared in the movies.
I finally watched the movie... I hesitated because I couldnt imagine how another Elvis movie could be told... I thought we had heard it all, I was wrong! This was a great story. Put things in to real perspective. It was unfreaking beleivable!! Iv seen many impersonators...visited and then lived in Vegas for several years, nobody could ever 'nail' his moves. This was the best Iv ever seen. I dont know how he did it! His voice, mannerisms and moves were unbeleivable. I really like the style they did the movie in... Kinda reminded me of the old movie Zoot Suit. Great job, Im pleasently supprised !! I was 9 when he died, I still remember it very vividly. I heard it on the radio at the neighbors house, I ran home hysterical to tell my Mom!! I dont know how 1 man could still effect me the way he does. His last performances bring me to tears everytime. I avoid watching them for that reason. Iv been crying off and on for an hour now and I will have work on getting him out of my head. We still love you Elvis!! Thank you for doing this movie, I dont want his memory to ever fade.......
I am such a massive fan of elvis presley. I remember when i was in my twenties I went out with my friends to this dance. They played elvis music and i did his moves.. when i got back to my seat. there was a note from someone a guy i think.. he wrote i have the female version of elvis moves. I was shocked.. a great moment. I kept the note for a bit. 💟😘
I can understand why he and Vanessa broke up …. This was a real task at hand that he had to attack unfettered. He was literally married to this project to really study Elvis. And, it all paid off! Seeing it tonight with hubby. Can’t wait!
Austin you was fabulous Elvis I grew up with Elvis watching every movie and I still do he was my love of my life and now that I watch you play him I'm in love with you don't give up on him you are so much like him .I went and seen your movie 2 times I will buy it when it comes out in the stores.im 70 years old and you are so much like him.
The only thing missing from this film is Elvis doing American Trilogy at Aloha Hawaii. If that has been added at the end this film would have been perfect. You WANT to see Elvis at his best at the end of this movie.
He has Elvis’ same face shape. His eyes are even squinty like his. The only thing is Austin’s are more narrow on his face whereas Elvis’ were more wide set. Otherwise spot on. Obviously there can only be one Elvis but he got close.
One thing I learned recently is that according to Elvis' co-stars in the early movies, he was actually quite a good, natural actor with real potential. But the colonel crushed it. Directors wanted to cast him in more edgy and challenging roles, but the colonel said no. That makes me sad.
I think the colonel held him back.his talent was so big that he couldn't completely hold him..but if he had his way elvis would be a side show act...sad that he was destroyed by colonel.
I watched King Creole the other day, and I've seen several of Elvis' movies, definitely watch that one and you can see that he could have become a serious film star, he had the screen presence and acting prowess to go MUCH further than he did. It is a real shame that CTP had so much control over the direction of his career.
@@teresamorrison2676 the colonel knew the big money was in music and touring. He wanted half of Elvis income. He knew if Elvis got involved in movies he'd lose access to Elvis. But why Elvis agreed to that was a mystery. The colonel held something over Elvis in my opinion.
I went to see the film this evening, I was blown away by Austin's portrail of Elvis...it was a daunting film I will never forget...I must say though I never liked the so called Colonel, even back in the 70s....and this film sealed it for me..imo...I feel he manipulated Elvis career for his own advantage, a cold calculated person., who used and abused Elvis and his money and Elvis's father was the same, everyone used him ,no wonder he was lonely. I don't think Gladys wanted her boy to be famous and I think she could see through Mr.Tom Parker...the ending was emotional and I cried for some time later...if this film and the actors and director don't win Oscar's next year, I eat my hat...Good luck Austin
I wrote a previous comment but I wanted to tell a quick story: When I was living in Vegas in about 2005, I was working at The Hilton ( the old international hotel) in the Beauty Salon. I had the privilege to meet a few veteran Hairdressers that had been working there in the 70s. They had personal Elvis stories, One of them was a story about Elvis sending little Lisa Marie to the Salon to get her hair fixed before the show. Later, Elvis walks in to the Salon asking, who did my daughters hair?? Everyone was shocked. He proceeded to tell me that he was the one who did her hair (the hairdresser thats telling me the story) he nervously tells Elvis, I did her hair. He thought he was gonna definately complain. But to his shock, Elvis say to him, I wanted to thank you for making her look like a little girl, everytime someone does her hair they make her look like a woman. I want you to do her hair from now on. I will save you a VIP ticket to the show tonight.. He was honored but had to go to the show right after his shift and didnt have time to clean up or change clothes. Elvis introduced him to the entire audience as Lisa Maries hairdresser. He expressed how embarressed he was cause he didnt have time to dress up before the show.... Cool story
Don’t get me wrong, I’ve been a massive Elvis fan for over 40 years. But I wish that the real Elvis was a fraction as insightful and articulate as Austin, he would still alive today.
I went to this show and fell in love with both Elvis and Austin Butler. Elvis was always very handsome but just to hear the epic voice and then Austin today embodied it and just to hear him talk now really is such a turn on. I am now obsessed. I have been on Amazon searching prints of them both and want to buy them and theme my bedroom of them. I was a child when he died but researching his life is so eye opening and he seemed like such a amazing person. He is someone I think I would love to be able to be in his presence and enjoy his fun spirit. It’s so sad he didn’t get to slowdown and just have a normal life for a while. He did love performing for people and it made him so happy but I think it took a toll on him and he just wanted like to be simpler. I also was sad cause it seems like he was a womanizer but I really think he thought that it would make him feel love cause I think that was the void he was always trying to feel.
My mother had been to see his movie and came back to wake me up to go to see his movie, I don’t know which one it was anymore, I was really young(5-7). And I still remember clips from it today. But what I most remember is that as soon as the name Elvis was mentioned later I would just be red in my face !!
I have seen the movie Elvis 2 times. I love Austin Butler he is gorgeous dreamy cute hot sooo Sexy. It's just like watching the real ELVIS Thankyou Austin. Give Austin Butler the academy award ❤️
Austin is phenomenal.... there is clearly something very special about him. He captures Elvis's heart, which I think is very close to his own. To me, that is what Elvis had that was so special and endeared him to so many people, young and old. Austin's last scene in the movie is when he is meeting Priscilla in the limo on the tarmac. The rest of the movie is the real Elvis.
Austin was in the scenes of Elvis on stage 2 months before he died. Took 5 hours in the make up department to look like Elvis did then. It was the real Elvis singing "Unchained Melody"

What is the background music playing during this interview?
I saw this movie 4 times. This guy is so awesome in this movie. He is so pretty.
I put this video on my ASMR playlist his voice is sooo relaxing
Austin Butler is an amazing man. I love this interview and how humble he's expressing himself concerning his parts in the movie along with others in the movie. I could just listen to him talk all day. And the way he talks he's not all about himself. He seems very kind and has a good heart and an outstanding personality. He sounds like a very sincere person and I hope he stays that way. I've never had children but if I had children I would have loved him to be my son. He did an outstanding job in that movie. I wish Austin all the best. ❤️❤️🥰🎤🎤👌👌👌
Ya know...the way Austen is talking and sounding, I found myself thinking, "I'm not so sure he actually WASN'T Elvis in a previous life."
After seeing the movie just the other night, my insides were actually quivering for the next couple of hours. That's how completely powerful the movie was. Every single actor was outstanding! Most especially Austen.
I'll be seeing it again. 🤩
Thanks for a great interview, guys 🙏
Got me thinking the same thing the human coincidemces the entire way he walked talked sang everything Elvis was Austin Previous life? possible too much alike humble softspoken etc etc the death pf their mothers All this seems too coincidental too many happenngs Aiustin's birthday Aug 17 can go on and on anyway I do believe Elvis's spirit and soul were with Austin
@@gericaccavale9637 u r right, and I totally agree, AMAZING ! B4 the movie ended i had fallen in love ELVIS/AUSTIN AUSTIN/ELVIS 💙🙏🙏💙 the two became one! I'm still mesmerised by the movie ,I have watched it so far 17 times! 🥰Fr.Australia

I'm SOOO in love with Austin it brings me to tears, it hurts, make it stop!!!
Your performance was simply amazing! I grew up in Memphis in the 60's and 70's. This movie really resonated with me with everything that was happening in the world. You most definitely did Elvis great justice. Thank you for putting this out there for all of us to be a part of. It made me love Elvis more.
Who else cried at the end of the movie? 🤧😭
What a challenge Austin Butler took on portraying Elvis! An Actor with lots of Humility and Talent! Austin Butler will be one to watch as his career goes forth! His Mom and Dad brought Austin up right with Kindness and Humility!
Elvis was & is the King& I love him very much Forever. I went to see ELVIS 2 NIGHTS AGO & I LOVED IT. AUSTIN YOU WERE AMAZING PLAYING ELVIS. YOU & THE MOVIE WERE AMAZING. I CANT STOP THINKING ABOUT IT & I WANT TO GO SEE IT AGAIN. BEST TO YOU & YOU DESERVE THE OSCAR. LOVE GAIL from N.J USA 🇺🇸 💖 💕

Seen the film twice absolutely love it 🥰
Great movie
When does Elvis 2 come out........
I think maybe Austin is still in character in this interview.
It was a really great film, I think I need to watch it again
Yes you need.I watch it twice and I hope that it will be and third time.
He is very down to earth and very talented
Very humble and honest
I love him so much ❤
I am such a massive fan of elvis presley.
Austin is an amazing entertainer we both are Leo ♌️
The only thing missing from this film is Elvis doing American Trilogy at Aloha Hawaii. If that has been added at the end this film would have been perfect. You WANT to see Elvis at his best at the end of this movie.
Austin had the TOTAL package for this roll. The sex appeal, the height, jaw structure, personality, dedication, you name it, he had it. 😁😁♥️♥️👏🏼
@@kellymanas6133 i agree with you! elvis could’ve done so much more than what he accomplished. Colonel really held him back.
That is true. When you watch a few od his other films you can see it.
I cried in my car after 😭
No wonder he was chosen to characterized ELVIS.
It's unfortunate his Mom isn't here on earth to see this magnificent gentleman she raised. Let's remember her.♥️
I wrote a previous comment but I wanted to tell a quick story:
When I was living in Vegas in about 2005, I was working at The Hilton ( the old international hotel) in the Beauty Salon.
Cool story
You can still hear Elvis in his voice
Amazing you are in the movie ELIVES you are a star
Austin, we will watch your career with great interest
So genuine!! What a man!! Good Luck in life Austin.
He did love performing for
people and it made him so happy but I think it took a toll on him and he just wanted like to be simpler. I also was sad cause it
seems like he was a womanizer but I really think he thought that it would make him feel love cause I think that was the void he was always trying to feel.
My mother had been to see his movie and came back to wake me up to go to see his movie, I don’t know which one it was anymore, I was really young(5-7). And I still remember clips from it today. But what I most remember is that as soon as the name Elvis was mentioned later I would just be red in my face !!
❤ Austin Butler definitely is our new dream come true ❤️💋❤️🎶❤️💋
I have seen the movie Elvis 2 times. I love Austin Butler he is gorgeous dreamy cute hot sooo
Sexy.
I've always said that...he
lived 3 lifetimes in his short years! He definitely lived life to the fullest! 💕
There'll will never be anyone, again, as loving and beautiful as Elvis!!! The world needs him now!!!
Parker is pure evil and mr Hanks embodies him too well.Austin made me appreciate Elvis soooo much more.
That's my opinion too.
