I was fighting the Loft command for longer than I care to admit. Projected Intersect may very well have saved my monitor from destruction. You sir, shall go down as one of my favorite people ever to walk this earth and I will remember you fondly on my death bed.
Concise expert explanations. Subscribed. This one is exactly what I needed to know today to solve the problem I was having. Thanks for not wasting my time with a snazzy 2 minute intro, "and don't forget to like and subscribe blah blah blah", then bury the meat of the "how to" somewhere towards the end of a 24 minute video. We need more youtubers like you.
Now this is a great tutorial. Useful techniques and information, concise, clear and good pacing. I will be using this intersect technique for making rails a lot going forward.
the first loft is perfectly accurate. the second loft is different to the first one because you made the end point of your rails vertical. this is different input the first loft did not have. of course they are different, but both are accurate ;-)
VERY helpful technique. Thank you! So frustrating getting the “not touching all profiles” error and trying to find tiny discrepancies in point positions that don’t intersect!
Great video thx John - in my drawing I can only select the first two as they are just plain circles. The remaining profiles I can only select a small section of each one. How do I edit each profile so it is closed / not open. When I go to select I need to be able to just click each one not only a minor section of each one ??

Excellent technique. I've had issues getting my rails to connect to my profiles for lofting. This will be very handy. Thanks!
Thank you John, the error "rails do not intersect all profiles" was a huge headache until I watched your tutorial.
Absolutely awesome tutorial, clear and very easy to follow. Helped me immensely !
Thanks John. The "intersect" tip is gold!!!!!
Thanks for the tutorial. I have been searching for an easy method of using rails for months. I could never get them to work properly.

Came for the rails, stayed for the intersect projection. Nice!
Excellent tutorial! Easy to follow along, and it was really helpful to see the results of rails compared to no rails. Thank you!
