    You did a phenomenal job Lucy!! 👏🏾 The panelling looks great and you’re right, the green really brings out the beautiful, rich brown tones from the wood.

    I love your sense of adventure. I really wish you wouldn’t say you have zero talent…this from the woman who took apart a couch to get it in the house then put it back together…stripped and totally refurbed the stairs…you are amazing🥰🥰 I love the panel look and the color is stunning. I know what you mean about farrow and ball. I redid my primary bedroom in the spring and fell in love with farrow and ball Hague blue. Living in the us, the cost was prohibitive, so I went to Lowe’s which is our big box diy and stuff store and the paint guy made it for me. There is nothing as satisfying as seeing your vision come to life. It’s now my fave room in the house. You are my diy idol😘😘

    I think you are underestimating the challenge and skill presented by those angles! When I saw what you were doing, I couldn't believe you tackled that paneled stairway yourself! Angles are super tricky and mind-bending, so the fact that you made a few goofs is completely understandable. Kudos to that company for putting together a kit and making a complex project like that approachable.

    LUCY YOU SLAYED SO HARD WITH THIS OMG

  • @Cheryl_Loves_Purple
    @Cheryl_Loves_Purple Год назад +1

    It turned out really nice! As a general rule, you want to match the color used least in a pattern (fabric, carpet, etc) & use that for your paint, & I see that green in the carpet. I think you made the right choice not to use a pink shade, it might have washed out the runner blending it all together.
    I am not a carpenter at all but I am a crafter so I have to give you some future reference info, lol. That blue miter box & the big flat saw go together. You use the slots on the miter box for your angles, they give you straight lines. The hack saw you used to cut the wood is a much harder way to go & the cuts can end up wobbly.
