  • The inaugural Ring The Springs took place June 11th and 12th, 2022 and became the first 100 mile running race in Colorado Springs. Race Director Morgan Weinberg talks a little bit about bringing such a race to life and how the first year unfolded. We are already looking forward to the second running in 2023. Registration for all distances opens OCTOBER 4th, 2022!

      ​ @Patrick Lavin I am seriously considering the 100k option that they are adding for next year. I honestly don't think I have it in me to go for a 100 mi in 8 months. I think I know what that level of training would demand and I am not sure I am willing to make the required sacrifices. But 100k is right in that scary range of uncharted territory where I think I can but don't know for sure, and it would pour jet fuel into my motivation to train harder. I have done a 50 in the past, so something longer sounds more inspiring. Thinking, thinking....

    I love my backyard trails...I live just by Stratton Open Space and Bear Creek Park so easy access to North Cheyenne Canyon, Section 16, High Drive, Buckhorn, 666, Columbine, etc. directly from my house.
