They have directly said, that People savings in bank has reduced and going into capital markets mainly F&O. So they want to create balance to get money into Banks through FDs etc. For the same reason they have increase Equity LTCG , STCG and even removed indexation on Debt funds. Sir I have been learning F&O from 2019 onwards , by taking calculated risk and making some losses and profits . On the way I have understood myself better in terms of my mentality / type of trades Im comfortable with etc, and have created a certain perception of the markets and have created my trading style accordingly. From Jan-2022 onwards I have only 4 losing months so far till JULY-24. Even Ive created my own algo strategies and have been consistenly profitable. After all taxes including income tax, I have slightly surpassed my IT JOB CTC . The government has always been amending one or the other things in the name of helping retailers which they are not. Was very hopeful to keep on increasing my SIP investments and planning to build a 9 figure corpus and to retire from my full time job in next 5 years, to take up Trading and investing as the primary job. But by these changes seems like it might not be achieved very soon.

If contract value is increase option buyers cannot manage their risk if I am trading in trendy market I take 5 lots but if market is choppy or sideways I will take only one lot to control my risk if lot size increase my automatically risk is increased And on the points of option seller if option sellers made 3% return per month on their capital is margin is increased they only made 1.5% return PER MONTH on their capital so why should the trade in option they will go to safe for instruments like FD bones mutual funds etf etc And that rules can reduce liquidity in our market. On my prospective this rule is not good for traders
Increasing margin will not make difference. Eventually small players will arrange that too and loose even more. Fno trading should more be related to a person's ITR(annual income), should only be allowed if he is filing ITR and if he loses a particular proportion of his income in a particular year. He should not be allowed to carry forward the further losses and further trading in that particular year. However, margin required should be less so that entry barrier gets removed and an educated trader can learn by paying less cost to the market.
I have observed a new trend among brokers to confuse retail traders. It is to update the app so that retail traders don't get used to the screen. Screen display gets changed so that you have navigate differently on the screen. This creates confusion while trading. Anyone faced this problem before
Instead of creating entry barriers, SEBI should have simply kept an exam for activating the F&O segment. E.g. Make it mandatory for every broker to have some recorded content or study materials just like NISM series 8 maybe and a test or exam with minimum passing percentage to activate the F&O segment. Investor education and protection fund could be easily used for this.
I live in Canada and use to trade in cash market. Here we have better rules in USA market. All indices and stocks options expire at Friday evening. Everyone can make statutory easily because Monday and Tuesday markets give big moves but Friday usually stays there.
Government wants that people should not shift to MF or equity market....As RBI already raised concern towards low deposit in Banks...Government failed to regulate inflation and banks are unable to give return more then inflation...it's people compulsion to move MF or equity...lekin ye sarkar ko ras naii a rahai hai...
8 % people from total population are investing in stock . Bank has low deposit no body wants to have liquid cash in the bank because of increasing in bank frand the lack of trust in bank resulting in people are planting there money in to other aset like cash ,gold , realstate.

As SEBI chair has suggested F&O is becoming macro issue with 60000 cr of household savings being lost I would like to point out .. According to this logic she should float a proposal to ban all Competitions exams as For example in UPSC Around 10L Aspirant fill form 5L appear for exam For which lets assume they take coaching investing around 2L as fees So 5,00,000x2,00,000= 100,000,000,000 rs of household savings are “lost” as only 1000 candidate’s will be selected !! P.s i am not accounting for opportunity cost And cost of other exams (CAT,NEET,JEE,NET & Others combined !!

Both MCX and NSE show Order Type GTC i.e. Good Till Cancelled Order. If GTC Stop Order is made available by Brokers to retail, if nothing else Traders would be able to protect Capital when Holding Overnight Position at MCX Futures and other NSE Instruments. Please make a video on GTC Order type and when Brokers are taking so much time to Introduce GTC Stop Order being offered to Retail, while already having the technology(some have GTC but not on Futures Stop Order). Many could have been saved from current market fall, should this feature have been available to retail.

At start of all day expiry i waited for like 6/7 month almost after being in loss for 2 years made a stretegy fir me and made a good workout stretegy fir expiry days!!! I m good profit already & wa ls planning to trade with larger capital and this came! Really disappointed with this move by SEBI!!! Agar hatana hi tha expiry to laaye kyu pahele ? Pahele kuch socha nai tha kya laane ke time! Really disappointed with govt for this!

See, its very simple. Its seems very strange that SEBI is worried for small retail investors. If Govt is not worried for middle class, then how SEBI is worried for small retail investors. Since most of the income for NSE, BSE and SEBI comes from small retailers. I think SEBI is hiding the reality.

trading account mein 96000 the aur aapne 83 ke bhav mein 2800 quantity ka order execute kiya. Agar aapko 83 ke bhav par 2800 quantity milti hai to iska total cost hoga: 2800 x 83 = 232400 Lekin aapke account mein sirf 96000 the to yeh order execute hi nahin hona chahiye tha. Agar aapke account mein sufficient funds nahin the aur phir bhi order execute ho gaya to yeh broker ki taraf se galti ho sakti hai.
Cleverly they removed the earlier rule leavarage for equity trading given by brokerage firms before 2020. Then made everyone should trade in options. And even introduced daily expiry to promote options. If they bring back earlier rule leavarage given brokerage firms most of the traders go back to equity trading....

Sabhi MF and share me invest kar rahe hai. Es karn bank next years me band so sakthe hain. Yeh sab banks ke liye hai. Baki investor se koi lena dena nhi hai.

बहुत से ट्रेडर क्रिप्टो मै जाने की बात कर रहा लेकिन क्रिप्टो मै एक दिन मै 300 /400 प्वाइंट की मामेंटे होता है 5k-7k की कैपिटल एक बार मै ही साफ हो जाएगा।
बहेतर है 15 -20 k कैपिटल से थोरा pratics करके अगर Equity मै Intrday किया जाए तो हो सकता है 500-700 डेली बन जाए।

If contract value is increase option buyers cannot manage their risk if I am trading in trendy market I take 5 lots but if market is choppy or sideways I will take only one lot to control my risk if lot size increase my automatically risk is increased And on the points of option seller if option sellers made 3% return per month on their capital is margin is increased they only made 1.5% return PER MONTH on their capital so why should the trade in option they will go to safe for instruments like FD bones mutual funds etf etc
And that rules can reduce liquidity in our market. On my prospective this rule is not good for traders

Increasing margin will not make difference. Eventually small players will arrange that too and loose even more. Fno trading should more be related to a person's ITR(annual income), should only be allowed if he is filing ITR and if he loses a particular proportion of his income in a particular year. He should not be allowed to carry forward the further losses and further trading in that particular year. However, margin required should be less so that entry barrier gets removed and an educated trader can learn by paying less cost to the market.

I have observed a new trend among brokers to confuse retail traders. It is to update the app so that retail traders don't get used to the screen. Screen display gets changed so that you have navigate differently on the screen. This creates confusion while trading. Anyone faced this problem before

Instead of creating entry barriers, SEBI should have simply kept an exam for activating the F&O segment. E.g. Make it mandatory for every broker to have some recorded content or study materials just like NISM series 8 maybe and a test or exam with minimum passing percentage to activate the F&O segment. Investor education and protection fund could be easily used for this.

I live in Canada and use to trade in cash market. Here we have better rules in USA market. All indices and stocks options expire at Friday evening. Everyone can make statutory easily because Monday and Tuesday markets give big moves but Friday usually stays there.
Government wants that people should not shift to MF or equity market....As RBI already raised concern towards low deposit in Banks...Government failed to regulate inflation and banks are unable to give return more then inflation...it's people compulsion to move MF or equity...lekin ye sarkar ko ras naii a rahai hai...
8 % people from total population are investing in stock . Bank has low deposit no body wants to have liquid cash in the bank because of increasing in bank frand the lack of trust in bank resulting in people are planting there money in to other aset like cash ,gold , realstate.

For which lets assume they take coaching investing around

So 5,00,000x2,00,000= 100,000,000,000 rs of household savings are “lost” as only 1000 candidate’s will be selected !!

Both MCX and NSE show Order Type GTC i.e. Good Till Cancelled Order. If GTC Stop Order is made available by Brokers to retail, if nothing else Traders would be able to protect Capital when Holding Overnight Position at MCX Futures and other NSE Instruments. Please make a video on GTC Order type and when Brokers are taking so much time to Introduce GTC Stop Order being offered to Retail, while already having the technology(some have GTC but not on Futures Stop Order). Many could have been saved from current market fall, should this feature have been available to retail.

See, its very simple. Its seems very strange that SEBI is worried for small retail investors. If Govt is not worried for middle class, then how SEBI is worried for small retail investors. Since most of the income for NSE, BSE and SEBI comes from small retailers. I think SEBI is hiding the reality.

trading account mein 96000 the aur aapne 83 ke bhav mein 2800 quantity ka order execute kiya. Agar aapko 83 ke bhav par 2800 quantity milti hai to iska total cost hoga:
2800 x 83 = 232400
Lekin aapke account mein sirf 96000 the to yeh order execute hi nahin hona chahiye tha.
Agar aapke account mein sufficient funds nahin the aur phir bhi order execute ho gaya to yeh broker ki taraf se galti ho sakti hai.

And even introduced daily expiry to promote options. If they bring back earlier rule leavarage given brokerage firms most of the traders go back to equity trading....
