Brazilian Music is underrated by the English world(more popular in France or Spain), from 60s to 70s, Bossa Nova and Samba were dominated in the west, but nowadays declined. I recommand Salomão Soares and André Mehmari as the representation of the Contemporary Brazilian pianists, André Mehmari is well educated by the classic piano tech, but also the brazilian origin.

Ok. I figured out what my brain did (and i don't Like it). The way he plays the guitar, create a Sound that is similar to a Zither. I was listen to that Instrument in my early childhood and my brain thougt it is funny to bring that Back. The version of the film is gorgeous and aristocratic as you pointed out. Here Yamandu uses those intense sttacatto parts to make it sound very rhythmic and expressive, and that is how the popular tango sounds.
incredible guitar playing. Have you ever watched/listened to Roy Clark? He is considered one of the greatest artist on stringed instruments, and I mean anything with strings. He was mainly a country/bluegrass artist but his performance of Malaguena is absolutely amazing, especially the one on the Odd Couple. I think you would enjoy him in any genre
