Mounting the Swarovski EL Range TA binoculars on a Tripod

Own a pair of Swarovski EL Range TA binoculars, but are uncertain about how to attach them to a tripod? After experimenting with various binocular mounts, we've identified what we believe to be the optimal solution. The RRS Cinch-LR bino mount allows for easy attachment of the EL binoculars to a tripod using a simple strap on one of the objective barrels. Despite the EL's slightly protruding bottoms, we've found that the Cinch-LR provides a secure and stable mounting option.

I really like that system for most binoculars, but I find it digs into the rubber armor on the range. EL.
Normally I wouldn’t care, but these are $4000 now. it looks like one could make a shim to go on the inside of the really right stuff cinch to alleviate this problem
