    Man you are a genius ! Wish you were here. So many garagists refusing to do a job like this because it is to complicated, and because they have back-problems.... you do this in 13 minutes.

    The best quality and best explained video.
    The Flywheel of this Polo is Double Mass? I ask , because i have a noise in neutral gear and when press the clutch pedal , the noise desappears.What it could be?

    • @loutretom2637
      @loutretom2637 Год назад

      Could be the clutch release bearing (Ausrücklager in german). My polo had it for quite some time until the noise became unbearable. I'm doing the job now to replace it thanks to this video

    Hi I'm hoping to do this on a 1.4 polo 6r so i can replace the crank shaft position sensor. I'm presuming the vast majority of the principles on jow to do this will be the same as in the video? It's really informative 👍🏻

    • @ford873
      @ford873  3 года назад +1

      Yeah the principle is the same for pretty much all the gearboxes. From memory though, I don't recall needing to remove a gearbox to change just the sensor? Usually a long Allen key with a ball end is all that is needed?

    • @cameronackroyd1220
      @cameronackroyd1220 3 года назад

      @@ford873 ok thanks I'll see if i can find what size the bolt is then go from there. That'd be great if it is the case. I was told there was some space but not enough to get to the bolt...

    • @ford873
      @ford873  3 года назад

      It is tight, that's why you need the ball headed Allen key. You wont be able to get it otherwise.

      @@ford873 thanks! Have ordered a 100 and 140 mm 4mm ball end coming tomorrow. Will get some pentrating spray too. Fingers crossed - i really Appreciate it. Tip coming your way if it works :)

    Hello, is there any fill plug for this gear box? ASC says that gear oil needs to be filled via drain plug itself. difficult for DIY. Please let me know if there is another way to fill gear oil.

    Hi mate I followed this and replaced the complete gearbox with clutches in 2014 polo. Now when I try to start it’s always in gear no matter which gear I select . I even disconnected selector cable and moved the pin manually but it never goes in neutral or park always in gear. Please help

      From the way your talking it sounds like you have replaced a DSG box and not a manual box?

    Which is the model of this transmission?

  • @MegaWayfarer

    Can anyone here tell me if it is possible to convert the cable clutch on this model to a hydraulic one. After 20 years of ownership I still have not mastered the bite. The car keeps stalling...very annoying...

      There is always the manufacturers wiring diagram, but I cannot post those, however they are available for purchase from less than legitimate places online.

      Haha very true, its pretty much the same in reverse. Did not think there would be much call for re-fitting it.
