My main use for the camera is POV shots, whether its using the magnet pendant or the hat clip. I like the ease of creation of the POV shots a lot, and especially the idea of not having to wear a bulky and goofy looking chest mount. The unique angles and shots you can get is also a big plus, and really, I'm not the kind of person to feel the need to shoot in 4k all the time. In fact, my main planned use for the camera is 2.7k at 50fps, maybe using 4k30 for the occasional specific shot. However, I'm still not 100% sure on whether these factors are enough to warrant buying this thing over another cam like the action 4. The battery life is the main thing thats got me a bit iffy, though that can mostly be solved with a mobile battery pack, although that is still tedious
I’d say unless you just “have to have” a hat clip regularly or are filing in a space smaller than an action 4 then it just doesn’t make since. There are a few hyper niche scenarios in my opinion.
I don’t know if anybody’s noticed that Insta360 launch this camera less than month after certain RUclipsrs announced what Insta360 controversy.Is this some way of Insta360 doing a distraction technique.Mate, keep up the good work, let’s know is worth just buying the camera only.👍🏾🇬🇧
I’m dropping a full comparison video with downloadable files in the next hour. Honestly, the Go 3s is looking pretty good compared to the action 4 in my side by sides. Just watching all my stuff back if I had to pick an image that I liked, it would have been the Go 3s which is not what I was expecting.
Agreed. I'm hesitating ordering the go3s because of no external mic options. I still may get the go3s, but it'll be more for a specific type of recording.
Yeah. DJI both Pocket 3 and Action 4 with DJI Mic2 just kills insta cameras with sound quality.
Would be stellar if insta allows connecting DJI Mic2 to their cameras.

Not sure if camera alone can be bought with new accessories. Seems that hat mount is upgraded and can be also mounted on the pendant.
Only the camera. But you can get the accessories separate.

However, why ask questions like whether the pod will be available separately when it’s available and visible on the store?
Not a dig at you personally, I saw another video earlier from another creator earlier speculating about things that are visible on the Insta360 store.
I would have thought that would be the first place to check before making videos about this camera.

So the pod wasn’t available on Amazon when I checked, but obviously a lot is moving quickly. Filming on the new cam right now. Thank you for pointing it out. I always appreciate the correction. It only improves my work. Keep it up.
I'd say go3 and go3s are still niche cameras, for all this creative shots. I've been bamboozled it's also good vlogging camera, because of the pod with front facing screen ... it's not.
It's just a camera for shots in uncommon places.
I want to to be a good vlogging camera, but the quality and audio couldn’t cut it. Not hopeful about this Go3s. If I’ve been mislead again, then I’m returning it. Last time I stuck it out and hoped I could make it work. But then the action 4 and pocket 3 came out. And let’s be honest, almost.. almost every shot you can do with a go 3, you can do with an action 4z and the shots you can’t are not shots you would do often any way.
4k60 recording on Action, but 16 hours later RUclips says here, have 1080p 60. What gives?
