To everyone reading this, I sincerely pray for that whatever is causing you pain or stress will pass. May your negative thoughts, excessive worries and doubts disappear, replaced by clarity and understanding. May your life be filled with peace, tranquility and love
Such a kind thought, thank you! And may your life be filled with peace too!
Thank you, for u as well🙏🏻🧡🙏🏻
How wonderful to read this. ❤️
i really needed this today, thank you.
Love this! Thank you🪀
I thought I'd ended yet another day in despair. Laying in bed after meditating, tapping, massaging, stretching walking - trying to feel better and find a connection to myself, through the mounds of tension.
After trying this my whole body feels calmer, I feel connected to my heart and my jaw feels like its been oiled.
Thank you ❤
I am SO moved to hear this - 💜 wonderful!!!!!!
If you don't already, consider some supplements like magnesium. We literally can not relax if we're deficient. Magnesium gets depleted by all forms of stress, also. more info if you want it (completely free site, no sign up) - doctoryourself
Wonderful! ❤
Good to hear 👍 I also felt calmer after the self massage
@@w1975bthanks you reminded me to take the supplements my sister sent me. One of which is magnesium!!!💗🙏🏼
This was mindblowing 🤯 I have had left hip, jaw, and shoulder issues for years due to asymmetrical pursuits (competitive mountain biking, playing the flute, driving a standard transmission vehicle, etc.) I had a terrible astigmatism (-2 diopter cyl in my OS) as well as jaw pain and even a cracked tooth on the left side due to clenching unfortunately. This past year I have been on an eyesight improvement journey and my astigmatism nearly fully resolved (my glasses prescription went from -2 spherical & -2 cyl left eye to -0.75 spherical with no astigmatism correction!!!); however I have been dealing with a LOT of stress recently. My old symptoms were returning (jaw clenching, left facial nerve issues, eyesight decline) so I started looking for relief. This video was AMAZING. I cannot believe how intense these techniques are!!! Thank you so much ♡♡♡
I am so glad you found it helpful! They can be pretty intense, especially the first time you find the tender points. As you are working them, another point of action is to use mindfulness to quietly observe where if the tender points you find are referring elsewhere - sometimes they can track inside the mouth, the periodontal ligaments, behind the eyes, and inside the ear.
Can you share more about how you worked on your astigmatism?
Woooww, congrats on your advances !!! I would also like to find out how did you improve your astigmatism. Can you share your way to recovery?
@@AdventuresAwait123 hey I did most of my learning through yt videos - Nathan Oxenfeld and Myopia is Mental. The key is to apply what you learn and change your postural & ocular habits!
@@celenebalvaneda4848 check out my previous reply. Also Esther Van Der Joy (I believe that is her name?) specifically for astigmatism. :)
The thunder & rain made this even more healing💜 thank you
I love a good storm!
This is crazy. After following along just once. I feel more relaxed than I have in years. Totally chill.
Yay! Celebrating this!
question... do you ever dryneedle the digastric or omohyoid mm? if so, wjat kind of results do you see and for how long? many thanks
This is so funny- I’ve done facial massages on myself for multiple years now and generally have no tension in my face as a result ❤️ my boyfriend however: his “jaw” is visibly asymmetrical- but it’s not actually his jaw bone, it’s muscle imbalance in his face! It’s so prominent that it actually presents visually on his face- you can see it! (He’s still a cutie tho even with a bit of a crooked face). When we first started dating he wouldn’t let me touch his jaw at all hardly it was so sensitive! Over time I’ve given him facial massages when he was having a headache or was sick and the sensitivity has gotten less and less each time. Last night he let me really go in, I was fully working the muscles of his face, especially his cheeks and jaws. There were some tender spots but I think he actually was enjoying the release of tension after a while. He even let me give him a buccal cheek massage!! I was seriously surprised he let me do all that considering how tense and tender his facial muscles were for a long time. Anyways, when I was done, I don’t think I’ve ever seen him so relaxed haha and I swear I can see a visual w difference in his face.😮 I’ve know about the benefits of facial massages for a while but I was really satisfied to be able to do it to him too finally 😁
Dr Garner, I'm blown away how this is working on my shoulders, chest, behind sternum. It just keeps unraveling me through head and torso. Thank you so much for sharing!
I am SO glad, thank you for taking the time to comment and let me know! 😍
Hey lady, thanks! I'm a clencher (it goes and comes, since 2018) and have been waking up with headaches these days, and seeing stress flashes of light at the corner of the eye on the tight side (left).
I didn't know that my tight hip and groin on the left side were related, until just now I was massaging my jaw and the hip loosened up!
I'll keep doing these, thank you ❤
I am SO glad these techniques are helping you - and the fact that you felt that hip release when you worked on your jaw - is a testament to your great body awareness - and your ability to self treat and relax, well done!!!
Thank you so much for sharing your expertise. I’ve had terrible TMJD issues from a car accident in 2018, and this was so helpful. I’m in pain daily, despite seeing 3 different physical therapists, a chiropractor, many rounds of acupuncture, 5 rounds of prolotherapy, 6 rounds of Botox, many deep tissue massages, 5 dentists, and countless mouth guards to “fix” my bite. No one has showed me what you demonstrated in this video.
I'm so sorry it took you so much time and money to find relief - goodness gracious. It should not be that way. This is why I actually did this video - to show folks what help they should be getting from their PT. SLP's can also help with this too!
I’ve been finally addressing my dental health after having a huge fear of the dentist with lots of work as a kid - my teeth look and feel good for the first time in a long time after paying for iv sedation to get a cleaning and lots of fillings. This video made so much click finally. I thought I was just slow coming back from sedation but these exercises made me realize “omg of course - I don’t remember being at the dentist, but my body does.” Excited to learn more on breathing as you mentioned.
Yes! What a smart way of saying that - your body DOES keep the score, as Bessel van Der Kolk wrote in his book of the same name!
Wow, I cannot thank you enough for this information. I loosely followed along with your video while making my kids breakfast and half the tension from last night’s sleep is diminished. I feel better than I have in more than 8 years. Thank you 🙏🏽
Fantastic! So glad!
My neck was snapped as a child and I've had quite a lot of orthodontia work and these exercises brought immediate relief to what has been years of pain and tension. Thank you for sharing!
What wonderful news - so very glad to hear it!
I thought that I was just disfigured and had to live in a lot of pain, all the muscles in my neck were bundled around my spine and my neck vertebrae were way out of alignment but no one ever knew to treat me for that because from an outside perspective I looked okay and learned to cope with being in severe misery. I've done quite a lot of massage on my own trying to relieve tension, but with your technique after only a few minutes of massage my head and neck came back into alignment and I gained freedom and range of motion that I don't ever remember having, but felt sadness that I didn't have anyone there to witness the profoundness of what just a small adjustment brought about. Thank you 😊
If possible, I would like to hear you talk about more ways of self-care to feel and stay safe afterwards as I didn't expect to feel so vulnerable.
@@MeganC-jm4wethat would be amazing omg yes the release can be so emotional it would be lovely to sort of have an explanation of what to do with all those big emotions. Thank you for sharing I'm glad you're feeling better ❤

We need someone like you at the VA hospitals all over the country. Esp since a lot of our problems are from active duty. The stress we’ve been through and trauma are only dealt with on a certain level. Mostly with psychotropic medications unfortunately
I wish I could help, perhaps there is a way that I can through this channel. I'm so sorry you are only being offered medications - there is so much that can be done to manage the fallout of trauma and injury - combined, they do require a special approach. There are a few more options - you can join my newsletter, which is free - by visiting www.garnerpelvichealth.com (you can also sign up at www.integrativelifestylemed.com). Additionally, I am looking to start a low cost paid subscription - and I'm curious, if you would prefer a subscription that would be written or video-based?
