10 years and still very informational, its now 2024 Great JOB!!
I will be following this tomorrow morning, appreciate the attention to detail 👌🏼
Well done... really well done! Not only instructional but informative in regards to things that might bite you when performing this the first few times.
Great video man many thanks. It took me alittle bit to figure out that the airbag logo was hiding a screw. This video confirmed it. Great tutorial.
Gutting my car to convert it for track use, thanks a ton (Done some of this my old E36 M3, firs time on an E46). Thanks for posting this!
+Benjamin Hirsch Thanks
Great video! The manual is written for the sedan and doesn't mention the upper rear screw (the one behind the cover that has "Airbag" on it). Glad I saw this before I got medieval with it!
thanks bro, it really helped... i replaced the inside handle trim with the carbon fiber one (both sides of course). looks awesome now. Any chance you could do a video on rear passenger quarter trim removal? cheers

Michael Callin Glad we were able to help.
Thanks for the video/explanation..the best one I've seen so far.. I'm doing mine soon. Did you disconnect your battery? How about the drivers side wing mirrors controller? How do you take that out? Thanks
Thank you for posting this video. I'm doin vinyl wrap on all interior trim and part of that trim is the gray on the door panel arm rest and as I figured out the hard way their are more screws on the inside of the panel that you have to undo to remove it with. It looks as tho somebody has already removed my door panel before and broken several clips so I have to replace those as well so hopefully you guys have the clips I need to replace them as well. Thank you again for the video.

Your videos have been very helpful. A thousand thanks.
Me over here dying on the airbag pull haha
did you disconnect the battery?? cause i thought you had to do that so the air bag didnt deploy.
A boogie
i did. but i haven't to touch the airbag, so, i'm not sure you have to
A great help. Thanks for taking the time to post.
Nick Talley Our pleasure
@@bimmermerchant do we need to disconnect battery ?
Thanks for watching our video. We just uploaded a video illustrating rear panel removal from a 325ci convertible, process is similar to coupes. You should have that rear panel off in no time. check it out.
Those are clips at the top, not pins. Did you say the torx bit size? And to not damage surfaces leaver from a thin piece of cardboard or plastic hetween the trim tool and the leather. Its important as not everyone has the softest grip. All in all though a good video. Cheers
Hello James,
Thank you for clarifying top pins, not clips. We do provide torx size in our videos.
Great video. Very helpful. I appreciate it. Take care.
Glad we could help.

+Dapper dave Glad we could help
Thanks for sharing. Excellent presentation
Do you need to disconnect the battery since you're working close to the airbags?
Yes
I'm trying to remove the interior door handle armrest to install a carbon fiber plastic cover over the existing handle on a 2006 BMW M3 E46. I cannot find any videos that show you how to remove the armrest from the interior door handle. Note: Not the center console arm rest. The armrest on the door handles. Can you help please?
yeah if anyone knows how to do this that would be a load of help ^^^
kenpokarate2009 I been looking for the same thing and I can't find it anywhere
!! If you happen to figure it out, let me know thanks
i did change the armrest today. it's not difficult. after having removed door panel, you have 6 screws to remove from the interior side of the panel. then you pull up the armrest.
How do I remove the backseats window. My window fell in and I don’t want to pay an arm and a leg for replacing it??
what year and model bmw do you have??
really good - thank you!
I don't have that airbag spot I have an 2000 bmw 328ci the door looks the same just what out that spot is there another screw im not finding
Thankyou very much! it was really informative and helpfull. thums up!

do you have to remove the battery cables to make the airbag not go off?
Its recommended.
Put nicer speakers in 👌🏼
So in summary after watching the video....
1) Go ahead and get the tools you need.
2) Go ahead and unscrew all the torx screws
3) Go ahead and use a trim tool to pop the clips out from around the door frame
4) Go ahead and pull the door panel towards you to pull it off the clips (not pins) along the top
5) Go ahead and ask yourself why you might be removing the panel
6) Go ahead and watch any other 'how to ' video on RUclips where the presenter is American and count how many times they unnecessarily say 'Go ahead and".
PS: Just to be safe, disconnect the damn battery as you're working right next to a damn airbag !!
OK I'll go ahead and see you guys later. Go ahead and bye bye
hahaha....thats what happens when your nervous, trying to work on removal, use correct terms..... Promise that future videos will have less "go ahead" now go ahead and visit our website
Nerves ? Nah man, it's called being American. Virtually all tutorial and 'how to' videos from America are the same. Everything is 'go ahead and' this and 'go ahead and' that.
Time is only moving forward, so the only place you can go is ahead. It's taken as granted.
But if you manage to reduce how many times you say it, that would be a positive. Best of luck.
what are the sizes for the speakers ???
I watched this video specially to see how to remove the door handle clip and it didn’t show me. Lol 🤷🏽♂️
