what does this comment even fucking means? 8/10 anime shouldnt have risque content? this game is 8/10 because of fanservice? what the fuck are you even saying you fucking meme splurging zoomer?
It's funny you said that about Snowbreak, because they just bumped up their age rating today. BD2 was also 12+ when it first started, and only pushed to 17+ a few months ago.
@@hafizhasan3668 yeah I'm only doing my dailies now waiting for Season to take advantage of this, in the meantime I have been focusing on Nikke instead. I have put 80 hours into Snowbreak and my account is established, now I just need to wait for the good stuff to come.
y'know, I've been playing brown dust since the 1st one released and deep down I am still pretty confused on why they made the slime resource have thicc girls carrying them
Glad to see someone spread the great word of brown dust 2. I have been a day one player and with that being said you got 2 rather important things wrong. 1. There is NOT a lot of limited banners. There has been a total of 12 Limited Banners (including the 4 from Mushoku Tensei going on right now) since the launch of the game. All other non limited are added to the standard banner. They also give at least one of the limited characters free during the event. 2. The powder of hope system CAN be used to acquire the Rate Up banner character but only AFTER said Rate Up banner has ended. It can only be one copy as well but better than nothing. Bonus: The free pulls you get for pulling the rate up banner character can also be acquired when said characters have their first rate up or rerun. So let's say you have +5 Justia and she has a rerun or a rate up, you can immediately pick up those free 40 pulls. I really do enjoy this series physchie.
Actually a smol misconceptions you have is that the current banners are collab characters which makes them limited , majority of the units do get added in general pool and they also get added in shop after their banners ends for a limited time ( they rotate every 2 weeks) , only few characters costumes are limited units which are bunny girls celia/eclipse and i think summer justia/schera ( for this two ain't sure because i didn't play at that time)
yup... the summer charas except for angelica are limited atm. lathel. grey. justia and schera. though we can expect a rerun during 1st anni?.. bunny girls and the rou there are limited as it was the half anniversary event.. then collabs. the remainding chars are added into the reguar pool after awhile and can spook you in anywhere.. Also i notice he didnt mention the select gacha kinda like how nikke have those select the few to appear.. that banner i suppose is guarantee one of those u picked also.. though i didnt roll any of those.
They will be rerun. Trust me. Having played Brave Nine for more than 1800 days, I've seen costumes coming back from time to time especially seasonal one like Halloween, Valentine, etc. The developers are genuinely some of the nicest chaps in the industry and understand that Gacha players have collectors mindsets especially for one that's already this generous.
@@randomperson4198 Collab is hard to say as it mainly is up to the collab partner to rerun or not. I believe the devs said they wouldn't mind having the collab units rerun but would need permission from the anime to rerun them.
I never would've discovered this game without this video and pretty much everything in the review clicked so I guess I'm adding another gacha to my roster today
Never heard this game before. I actually really love the battle system that this game (seems to) use, presentation seems lovely, and 'simple but personal' seems lovely. QoL seems to be good and it's quite generous and none of the negatives are deal breaker to me so I'll try this this week once I have a little bit more time. Hoping for a few months of fun
As a 5 year veteran, I'm really looking forward to the Honkai Impact 3rd video! If you have any questions about long term design or how the game gacha systems and game modes changed over time, feel free to drop me a comment or mail~
hi i'm a day 1 f2p endgame player and have had prior play on brave nine for over 3 years. firstly, amazing review thank you and I want to add my bit here. 15:04 there is no ai in pvp what's played is what is set by the player beforehand or did you mean the autoplay. 16:55 2 of the 4 costume's in the shop are the previous banner before that week so if you don't get the costume you can always get em from shop after the banner ends. limited excluded 19:19 there is a universal limit break item in the shop that isn't shown in the video you can get every month. limited excluded 19:41 yes there is a collab with mushoko tensei rn and they are limited and will never be added into general pool fomoo but most if not all others will be added into general pool after banner ends. progression i agree gacha i don't agree its better than nikke I'll fight for it presentation i agree late game content i don't agree personally the way i play endgame feels like dailies. fomo i agree variety content frequency i don't agree these devs are goated.
@@Neretzes every month we get to buy 1 universal limit breaker for costumes. the gears do not have limit breaks you don't even need it most of the time since crafting is a thing. also not the several places to get free costumes.
@@Adloquiemyou should, in early days you'll just finished story and events, the characters mostly are sexy with explicit animation but you can turn off or set to once a day an so on. The game is generous
It's honestly one of my favourite games, its generosity has kept me free to play from it's half anniversary when I started until now, I never felt the *need* to buy anything since stuff felt like it was getting handed to me so I could have fun, I've been spooked plenty of times by the free draws and the tickets and diamonds were more than enough for what I needed, plus the discord community is quite helpful in regards to what characters to get and how to beat levels if you're stuck. Yes, the eye candy is what drew me here, but the generosity of the game combined with the ,as you said ,character development and story, is what kept me here and will keep me here for the foreseeable future
Glad u sticking with the game. BD2 reward their player by when they play the game for a long time because the more costume u own when they rerun u will get more ticket because the pick up event also rerun with the charater. Also whenever event comes they give out a lots of ticket as well so I think the gacha should be above expectation even if it can't be compare with nikke. Gear gacha is usually for whale because they doesn't have a pick up event and u can craft gear anyway (even if its a hassle and take a long time to max out)
Good video, but I feel like some of the gacha system wasn't fully elaborated on. Only collab, summer, and winter units are limited. All the other units released got added to the standard banner and also can appear offbanner. In the shop, there's 5* units you can buy for 200 dust which is the leftover pity after a banner expires and you have the golden threads from just pulling on the gachas that you can trade 1.6k for a listed 5* or for a dupe ticket for non limited. Win or lose, you can grind pvp for consolation currency that you can spend 16k on the listed 5* in the pvp shop every 4 weeks or so which you can easily hit doing the 40 free runs a day. The game also gives out base costume 5*s from a special pass that runs 7 days; last one was Liatris. The one major thing the video also didn't mention that there's a rebate system for getting the on banner 5* which goes up to a 50 pull rebate which is why you should never pull on the standard banner. I have never seen a game return pulls for you hitting the on banner units not even nikke. This means if you're really lucky, you can even be postitive in pulls after getting a +4 costume.
For your criticism about the gearing upgrade system here, after comparing it to Epic 7 and Honkai Star Rail, i massively prefer this one over others? Why? You can actually reroll the substats you ACTUALLY want in this game over the absolute trash show of an gearing system in Epic 7 and the horrendous RNGness in Honkai Star Rail, and the rerolls come at a fair price. So yes, BD 2 gearing system is GREAT!
Hey, let's talk about this. Honkai Star Rail... sucks, it really really sucks, but singling it out is unfair. ALL mihoyo games have that bullshit in them, and HSR is almost demonstrably better in all the other aspects they can be properly compared in. My point being, beat Mihoyo up in general for not making their better game even better, instead of the "child" for having a bad "parent".
fr tho, after playing epic seven for years and trying brown dust 2 recently, i can say that this game excites me to craft. you don't get the uncertainty and despair from crafting like in epic seven. i'm a bit thankful to that game because most gearing systems from other gachas that i've tried became a LOT easier.
18:00 Epic Seven is another gacha game I am aware of that lets you buy battle passes with free gems. The battle pass drops very infrequently compared to other games, but it always comes with a free skin if you get the higher tier version of the pass.
@@mistral9950 I'm not sure how your opinion is even remotely relevant to the timestamp of the video that I replied to, but okay? Opinions about the state of the game aside, you failed to mention that the powercreep is only relevant for the mid-higher end of PvP, and for PvE launch units make up a majority of thr meta. But even then I struggle to name a gacha where even launch units regularly get buffed and are still hugely relevant in the current PvP meta. I still regularly use Destina, Krau and Violet for PvP, all launch units. There are definitely issues with the game, but for a 4 year old game, Epic Seven is doing much better than a lot of its competitions (especially one with PvP) can say in terms of unit relevancy.
It should be noted that there are endless tiny QoL changes that have come in as time has gone on at a rate far beyond what is normal for mobile games. Most of the UI for most things has been overhauled a ton over this first year, and the game is in a significantly better place than it was at half-anni even. For example, those mini-games for events used to require being [actually played] daily to get the rewards, instead of simply high scoring and then sweeping the rewards with a button press. Event stories used to unlock slowly over the course of the event, having each chapter locked behind several days of waiting. And events used to be on a monthly schedule, but fiend hunter was still 1 week long, meaning there was only 25% uptime on that content, compared to the 50% we have now. Team presets were just what units were in your party, not where they were positioned, resetting positions to the default corner cluster the moment someone was knocked out, revived, and placed back in the party. Outside of upgrading and refinement, many bulk actions in the inventory simply [did not exist]. Most of the icons you see on gear currently were also missing, making sorting the quality/details of individual gear pieces tedious as you had to check them individually before locking and selecting them to dismantle trash. and the list goes on. Pretty much anything that you interact with in the game right now to do anything was [significantly worse] not very long ago, so looking ahead for this game definitely feels very hopeful.
I was just listening to the video without watching it while farming in my game then I glanced at the screen around 12:46. Then I was like "wait, is that Roxy?"
i played BD2 for a while now, and my dia keep adding up bcz they giving out too much tickets. And 1 thing you missed about the gacha reward is if you already have a costume of the rate up banner, you'll get the reward for pulling it again, for ex : scheherazade banner right now is the rerun banner and i got it +5 last time and now i get the reward for already had it to +5 again
the gacha system is way more generous than nikke. You forgot to mention other features like how if you already own the characters and they rerun, they give you those rate up pulls again every single time. So say you have a bunch of +5 characters. You are basically getting 50 free pulls every single time they rerun which scales up the more units you get. Because not only do you not have to pull on that banner, they give you 50 free pulls for another banner you might want to pull on. Also, you can get dupes later without having to pull on a banner more than once using the golden thread shop (for non limited units). Also the powder of hope allows you to buy another copy when the banner ends because it will appear in the powder of hope shop right after.
Would love to see you make a video like this on action taimanin i think its a great game that more people should check out and imo f2p friendly as well. That said idk how much of it you would be able to show you on youtube 💀
Nice and informative video Just want to add something as a player (I also just start this game weeks ago) -Most gacha are not limited , there are totally 5 limited (with one of them being free) before this. You just start playing when the next 4 limited (2 collab + 2 anniversary) arrive -For non-limited , they will enter shop after. You can 200 them , but you will miss 10 tickets and event bonus If you're not doing 200 rolls to trade them immediately. -Most equipment isn't required. You can just craft normal UR which just lacking some stat compared to unique gear. As most are not limited , you'll eventually got them from daily pull. -Rough calculation , player would get around 200 pulls a month. While dupe is impactful , at least they give enough to keep up with that.
You just earned yourself a sub for reviewing my favorite game. Honestly, im not playing for the lewds. Theres more to bd2 than skin. It has a great story, gorgeous art and friendly community. Not to mention a great team of devs. They deserve all the success to be honest. Cheers!
- There are usually 4 charcters in Powder of Hope shop, two are random, and two are from previus banner cycle. Only exception are few limited costumes, I think there are like 8 such costumes, including currently runing Mushoku Tensei collab units. - All costumes, and they signature gear are added to general poll after they banner ends (excludign colab gear and mentioned limited costumes) - There is one more currency you didn't mentioned -Golden Threat. It's like Glitter in Genshin Impact, you get some each time you pull costume, getting more for 5* or costumes you already maxed. It can be used to buy a copy of randomly selected 5* costume or upgrade one owned, non-exclusive costume. It refreshes roughly once per month, and even as f2p you should be able to get enough to get at least one of the two. - In PvP you can control your units manually. You set what skills and in what order they will be using. Overall good review, beside few points mentioned above.
I played from day 1. I liked the art design and the story was okay. I did not play much PvP since it was clear to me that I was never going to reach top of the leaderboard without dropping some money. I did like that I was able to max out the majority of characters with the free stuff they’d give out during events. Overall it was a solid time killer to play whenever.
I'm on the same boat mate, the game is just that generous. been playing the game for almost a year now with all the costumes+1-3 with 200+ pulls reserve and 186k crystals and I haven't spent a single dollar on the game.
Hey man, just a note about the mention of limited units and the standard pool. This game is actually just like Nikke in that every single character goes into the pool as soon as the banner ends (And then some of them go into Powder of Hope or Golden Thread banner right after). The only exception to this being the current banners where you started on since it's a collab, and others like summer and Anniversary banners like in other games. So it works pretty much just like Nikke's system.
No, NIKKE gacha rates is dogshit. BD2 rates is godlike and feels like a really legit 1.5%. They are also very transparent when it comes to your rate. You can check your previous history on pulls. Also, NIKKE doesnt have a cashback ticket systrm. In BD2, whenever you pull the feature rate up character you will be refunded with 10 tix. So please stop comparing it to NIKKE with them $50 - $60 costume.
@@ineptadept3251congrats? This has nothing to do with either what my comment or the video said. I never talked about rates, pity or anything. I simply compared to Nikke the fact that every costume goes into the pool except rare limited ones like Anni/Summer stuff so idk what got your feathers ruffled lmao
How timely. I just got some extra free time and was considering between this and Blue Archive which one to add to my gacha rotation, so this will def be an informative watch
I came across your channel accidentally while searching for information about Snowbreak, and I absolutely love your reviews. They are incredibly thorough, covering all the details I look for, and they are very well-made. Thank you for your amazing work! If you're interested in niche and less popular gacha games, I'd suggest checking out Counter Side (has the best main character and overall story in gachas, wide variety of obtainable characters ranging from typical booba girls to soldiers, tanks, choppers, and giant dino mechas) and Neural Cloud (unique autobattle gameplay with a strong focus on roguelike modes, very sleek presentation and UI). Thank you once again for your fantastic work.
Pseychie I have been watching your dead cells content and I am so excited that you have finally decided to play this game. Thank you. I absolutely love you.
I had seen brief clips of BD2 in some of your other videos and thought "wow that looks like a nice cozy rpg with a beautiful art style". So I downloaded it, and the first thing I see after clicking the title screen is Summer Teresse's banner/ultimate animation and dear lord I had no clue how horny this game was when my only exposure had been to some gameplay snippets. Needless to say I was instantly all in. So yeah, despite it being a pleasant surprise, I was NOT expecting a game with animations that would make NIKKE blush. Don't even get me started on Summer Morphea's "popsicle" 11/10 I do think the game reveals it's hand a bit early on how reliant you are on dupes and gear (leveling a character barely registers a change in CP while my +5 3-star character out-damages my banner pulls), but since I'm mainly doing early story right now I'll reserve judgement for later. The gacha doesn't stand out in either direction for me, but I do like the banner missions that essentially refund you a 10-pull every time you pull the rate-up. Nice feature I haven't really seen before.
Been playing F2P since launch, and I can say that as long as you don't care about pvp rankings, the game just keeps getting better. Though I'm biased because the costumes activate my neurons. Summer event and anniversary is soon😌
When playing (on my phone ofc) the game likes to crash or freeze every so often. Sometimes I don’t even get to login b4 it crashes and it has lasted as much as 30mins b4 it shits itself. It’s been getting better over time for some reason but after like 5 months and progressing past the 1st set of maps it’s still a thing I have to pay attention to if it happens or not.
Somehow the game feels like 2 different artstyles. On one side you have some character art, the UI and the overworld artstyle that looks like a 20 year old RPG, but on the other side you have the gacha and player characters in modern flashy mobile game artstyle
Played Brown Dust before it got renamed Brave Nine and also played Brown Dust 2 for awhile, what I can tell anyone who wants to try it is that the devs very generous with the rewards but really really REALY do not care if the how game breaking new characters are. The character you spent all your resources into to become strong will can become obsolete the next patch. This doesn't really matter much if you're a casual player but if you want to climb the ranks, you'll be frustrated with how fast characters become trash
I've just started on this game. This is honestly one of the best gacha game I've ever played. The gameplay is excellent and it's also one of the few games that I don't want to skip the story. I really enjoy the JRPG style of the game.
I like your review style, when trying to find reviews on gacha games most of the ones available online are by people who are either sponsored or just talking from the top of their mind for 20 minutes without much structure.
This is the most generous gacha I have played. I am f2p and started on launch. If I count all the pulls I have made and add the ones I currently have saved, that is a total of 6600 pulls. That is on average 18 pulls per day since launch!
A game I would like to recommend for this series is Eversoul. The game is the most generous gacha game I've ever played. It is out now for 1 and a half years and in all that time, the free gems are enough to guarantee multiple copies of every new character, guarantee every signature weapon/lightcone and even "waste" some on shops and other stuffs if you want. There are no spending events or events that expect you to force spend more than f2p currency for exclusive stuff, like some other games do. And EVEN solely cosmetic stuff like outfits are NEVER tied to real money, a premium currency or gacha. All outfits are either on the free battle pass tier or part of events every f2p can do. The game is really chill and the devs are known for actively listening to the community with adding QoL things like letting you one click sweep grindy gameplay modes like the weekly rogue-like simulated universe, PVP modes or basicly all material farm stages.
24:31 actually u can "revive" on tower of pride, by doing unique skill revive (helena/other character that have revive) then go to character menu and select all to automatically put the character into the squad (but make sure that ur squad character are ur top 5 cp) and also dont forget to heal up. i dont know if this a bug or a "feature", but yeah use it while it can lol.
The thing about being rewarded for dupes actually also works for rerun. When there is a rerun and you already have the char and dupes, you get tons of free pulls.
As one of my fave games, want to clear up a few things if anyone scrolls down to read the comments. 1.)Limited characters are few in between and will come back every year. (Summer outfits on summer (only 2 are limited out of many others) 2.)Game is over generous. Too Generous if I''m being honest. 3.)While gear rerolling my seem scary, it's quite simple then it might be explained. It's something you'll feel once you start crafting UR gear (End game gear). 4.)While there is PvP. The Devs themselves said that the game will be moving towards PvE content rather then PvP. While they have said this, they are still cleaning up and working on PvP mode. 5.)For Outifts or how some might see it, Skins/Skills. They USED to be, at the very least, a +3 to be useable. After the Half Anniversary update, the costumes only need 1+(one) Dupe to considered usable if +0 isn't. Even with that being the case, the Tear (Ability enhancement system) allows you to upgrade units to feel or be compared to a +3. 6.)Devs of this game care about this game and it users. Anyone who has been in a livestream knows how clear they can be about their game and wanting to make the player base happy. Devs are also pervs, so no censoring or holding back on culture. Or how they said it, "We decided to not care about the opinions of those who don't player our game." Thank you Pseychie for giving our beloved game some spotlight. Your review was very easy to understand and follow. If you stick with it. I hope to hear an update review once you've dabbled in late game content.
a week playing the game, never felt the need to swipe yet but i’m sold with the story and currency given on events. i’m buying the monthly pass as a support for the game
Been playing bot Nikke and Brown Dust 2 for about 2 months. And, for me at least, Brown Dust 2 just blows Nikke out of the water in terms of generosity in their pulls, (specifically in amout of currency/tickets for pulls). In both I have been using currency and tickets but currently I have in BD2 136 tickets, 50K currency and pulled around 30 UR costumes (including dupes) and 40something UR gear. In Nikke now i have 30 advanced tickets, 0 resctuit tickets, 30K currency 34 SSR Nikkes (including dupes). In both i have spend nothing, but I did invest more time in nikke to get dailies and push story forward (for rewards tied to story progression). As you can see I have more or less the same amount of costumes but have loads more available pulls left in BD2 while also getting a good amount of gear (haven't unlocked yet UR crafting and I am pulling far FAR more often on the costumes than gear, I also got about 10 of those UR gear from events). as a conclusion out of all the gatcha games I have played so far BD2 has been so far the most generous in tickets and pulls for F2P.
Sorry, but you aint correct in few things here (writing from a f2p perspective in both BD2 and Nikke, playing since release). First of all, Nikke aint even close to be as generous as BD2 is. In Nikke i can ocasionally get MLB (4 dupes) characters every half a year, but i have to skip plenty of banners to achieve that (even more if i want to MLB Piligrims). But there is no way it would ever be possible for me to core7 (11 dupes) any character without permanent account damage (like skipping multiple meta characters). Dupes in Nikke are important too, since they affect "power" (to alleviate "power deficit", which is important for stage progression), but gacha system rekts every second banner simply because there is no proper pity system (except 200 tickets one). Moreover, Nikke actually paywalls game progression (while i am lvl 300 and stuck at 18 hm , whales are almost 500 and cleared it a year ago). It's impossible to compete with whales too (200 lvl difference, etc). After the pvp server merge i stopped doing pvp at all, since it became a whale grinder and there is literally no point in participating anymore. On the contrary, in BD2 i can +5 any character every couple months while getting all the essential breakpoint dupes for meta characterы and getting pretty much all characters/costumes in the process (and im not even lucky). I also occasionally logged on few ch1 accounts just to roll freebies for fun, and in a year those accounts got 120 (unluckiest) to 160 (luckiest) five star character drops, with all meta characters, multiple +5, and ex gear on half of characters. Pity systems and dupe shops help alot with that. The gear stat reroll system you mentioned isn't p2w at all (like in "those" games), you get an abudance of these resources just from playing the game. Also, while it is still very hard, but in BD2 it is actually possible to compete with whales as f2p (like getting in top100, or even top 10 for tryhards). It is important to note that im not some gacha fanboy or whatever. I actually despise gachas as i understand that they are inherently a fraud scheme by design. My point is, that BD2 is as closest to being a "normal" game, as gacha could possibly get.
@@weewee5219...you do understand any advertising and media platforms cull 18+ content to some extent so it doesn't accidentally reach children, right (if not because unless you're in a platform that encourages it, most advertisers don't like high age rate products)? If anything, I'd say that (and being a strategy/"puzzle" game) is the more damning point against Brown Dust II for popularity vs Nikke.
@@KuroeNezumi I don't think popularity plays a big role here tho. Nikke simply has way higher donation ceiling and it paywalls progression (up to 11 dupes, 160 wall, power wall for later progression, lots of progression items in shop), while in BD2 you pretty much can get almost everything without a single cent spent.
A great video. Hands down the most informative BD2 video I have ever seen, and as a BD2 player, I really wish this was out when I started playing 1 year ago. Great job!!! One thing I want to point out though is that limited characters are rare in BD2 (current banners are collab banners so they are limited) but most of the banners in the game are regular units, which after the banner ends: 1st: they go in the general pool of characters, so they can be pulled as off-banner drop 2nd: once their banner ends, they are added to the Powder of Hope shop for 2 weeks, so if someone has powder, but was unlucky to pull the unit, they can directly buy 1 copy there Again, great video. I hope you like the game, and have fun with it, so we can keep such an awesome content creator in the community ❤❤❤
Hey Pseychie, recently discovered your reviews and its been great fun, im not one for gacha games much cause i dont usually have much commitment but they're still fun to learn about. Would wonder if you'd be open to checking out Guardian Tales at some point, its a simple but really charming game, and some of the later story chapters are actually really damn good. Real low spender friendly too
Hi there Pseychie, you forgot to mention about the thread system for a select UR permanent pool character which is also accumulated at the same time with the purple dust or dust of hope (1600 threads for the select UR of your choice once a month and you get pull tickets here as well). So, you are getting 2 pities by just pulling alongside those 2 UR thresholds (100 any UR and 200 for banner UR). 4 in one, all just by pulling. Thank you :)
gacha and monetization is absolutely better than Nikke for sure. I just tried the game a month ago and I already had done 1100 pulls in total (still have 250 tickets saved for collab banners), I've played countless gacha games and this is the most generous gacha game I've ever played especially for a game that is actually polished unlike countless cashgrab gacha games that gives alot of pulls but has really bad gameplay/presentation
the rate up characters are added to the bunch, only the limited time character dont whic are just 4 i think and they return like the sumemr skins are comming back in the next event.
I played Brown Dust, the first game and I'm still playing it now, though not very active but just simple daily login. But I dare say the amount of resources for Brown Dust or Brave Nine is insanely generous compared to any games I've played. And the developers, they really read your suggestions although it might take time. I saw someone in discord that suggested a certain boss x environment rotation for a guild siege and they really implemented it in Brave Nine.
Love your videos man like actually, If you stopped making content I'd probably have a hole in my heart. But seriously man I feel like these videos are so good at informing people about these games
Exceptional work again, glad you had some funs! Looking forward to what you find next. Carry on my son! Safe journeys. ❤ P.S I found this little gem in beta and I've played it off and on, its on semi regular rotation, it's a little ripper!
"Eight butt plugs in a ring shape" I almost spit out my water all over my monitor XD Game looks sick though... might be checking it out soon. I really dig the art style.
It's kinda funny how you can barely tell how hot the characters are in battle, but they go well out to make sure the thirst factor is off the charts when you see the characters full image.
I was skeptical touching this game. I was curious on the game and stuff.... But I feel like I am too stupid on how much complicated the combat it will be in later levels that kinda held me back onto actually playing it. Thanks for the review. I might touch it... as soon as I find a slot in my schedule to actually play it
I play this game very casually, often miss dailies & weeklies but somehow I almost have every character & always have a lot of pulls ready, I still have like almost 200 pulls after pulling on the latest mushoku tensei collab banners I don't even do any of the endgame content lmao
Super jealous about the jobless reincarnation collab ngl Also could you do a quick video explaining the Nikke favorite items and if they change the meta
yea, played from released day and Brown Dust 2 better than i expected. Generous dev with lots of free rolls, sexy + nice characters artwork, fine turn-base gameplay. It hard nowaday to find a gacha games like that, 9/10 to me
Yeah, I usually log in twice per banner and I have one copy of almost every unit. I did play daily for 2 months on launch and hoarded all that currency, but it's crazy generous. EDIT: OMG, the holy grail next? I hope you thoroughly enjoy it!
I can't even figure out how to install on PC The official site is telling me to "click on the 'Install on Windows' button after going on the Google Play Store" but there's no such install button anywhere great start XD (and after double-checking other games do have that button but Brown Dust doesn't lol)
Probably due to some region-locking (I dunno how to explain it but it was also the same case for me). To remedy this, use a vpn and access their official site again or ask someone who can see the PC download button and link the downloader for you.

y'know, I've been playing brown dust since the 1st one released and deep down I am still pretty confused on why they made the slime resource have thicc girls carrying them

Oh you pure mind ,if you read certain website slime ,tentacle is really goood Friend's for girl on that certain time.
@@samfong1436 Summer Lathel and Gray are not limited too. Only Justi and Schera
@@jayleyyHow about collab? Will they have a rerun?
16:55 2 of the 4 costume's in the shop are the previous banner before that week so if you don't get the costume you can always get em from shop after the banner ends. limited excluded
19:19 there is a universal limit break item in the shop that isn't shown in the video you can get every month. limited excluded
19:41 yes there is a collab with mushoko tensei rn and they are limited and will never be added into general pool fomoo but most if not all others will be added into general pool after banner ends.
progression i agree
gacha i don't agree its better than nikke I'll fight for it
presentation i agree
late game content i don't agree personally the way i play endgame feels like dailies.
fomo i agree
variety content frequency i don't agree these devs are goated.
In guardian tales theres also a limit break hammer for char/weapon... How long to buy limit break +1 in this game?
@@Neretzes every month we get to buy 1 universal limit breaker for costumes. the gears do not have limit breaks you don't even need it most of the time since crafting is a thing. also not the several places to get free costumes.
Would you recommend this game ? Do you still enjoy playing ?
@@Adloquiemyou should, in early days you'll just finished story and events, the characters mostly are sexy with explicit animation but you can turn off or set to once a day an so on. The game is generous
is this game still worth to play? cuz i think i missed alot big event last month like 1st aniv and mushoku event
This means if you're really lucky, you can even be postitive in pulls after getting a +4 costume.
as someone who played the game since launch. i can say that the resource for crafting gear is not a problem after a few weeks .
Not to mention the trash non-reroll situation in Genshin.
Very true, as a person who mainly plays epic7 I can agree that bd2's gearing system is definantly a lot better 💀
18:00 Epic Seven is another gacha game I am aware of that lets you buy battle passes with free gems. The battle pass drops very infrequently compared to other games, but it always comes with a free skin if you get the higher tier version of the pass.
But the game is not a good position right now. Yeah the game is really f2p with lot of pve modes but people are really burned by powercreep
@@ZephyrusRaine you brought up epic dogwater of course people are going to mention it's flaws
Pretty much anything that you interact with in the game right now to do anything was [significantly worse] not very long ago, so looking ahead for this game definitely feels very hopeful.

ah yes Brown Dust 2 (17+ game) bring on the fanservice 😂😂😂
i played BD2 for a while now, and my dia keep adding up bcz they giving out too much tickets. And 1 thing you missed about the gacha reward is if you already have a costume of the rate up banner, you'll get the reward for pulling it again, for ex : scheherazade banner right now is the rerun banner and i got it +5 last time and now i get the reward for already had it to +5 again
I think the top posts of all time on the Brown Dust 2 subreddit tell you what kind of game this is.

@@naguriu All of the really horny character animations
the gacha system is way more generous than nikke.

-Most gacha are not limited , there are totally 5 limited (with one of them being free) before this.
You just start playing when the next 4 limited (2 collab + 2 anniversary) arrive
-For non-limited , they will enter shop after.
- All costumes, and they signature gear are added to general poll after they banner ends (excludign colab gear and mentioned limited costumes)
- There is one more currency you didn't mentioned -Golden Threat.
As someone who's playing brown dust 2 for like 6 months (pure f2p) i already have all the constumes of the character with +2/+3 . Maybe i am lucky :).
I'm on the same boat mate, the game is just that generous. been playing the game for almost a year now with all the costumes+1-3 with 200+ pulls reserve and 186k crystals and I haven't spent a single dollar on the game.
The gacha is very generous the game is very f2p friendly with pulls so we good
Hey man, just a note about the mention of limited units and the standard pool.
Thank you once again for your fantastic work.
Pseychie I have been watching your dead cells content and I am so excited that you have finally decided to play this game. Thank you. I absolutely love you.
I had no intention of playing this game but I just watched the video to listen to Pseychie speak
Don't even get me started on Summer Morphea's "popsicle" 11/10
I do think the game reveals it's hand a bit early on how reliant you are on dupes and gear (leveling a character barely registers a change in CP while my +5 3-star character out-damages my banner pulls), but since I'm mainly doing early story right now I'll reserve judgement for later.
Im so glad you reviewed Brown Dust 2. Its such a great game, the artwork is top notch and the gacha is so generous. I hope more people play it.
Wait there's a Brown Dust 2? I was around the first one during the first few months post-launch but I fell off. Time to dive back in.
I can see my phone explode while loading start
When playing (on my phone ofc) the game likes to crash or freeze every so often. Sometimes I don’t even get to login b4 it crashes and it has lasted as much as 30mins b4 it shits itself. It’s been getting better over time for some reason but after like 5 months and progressing past the 1st set of maps it’s still a thing I have to pay attention to if it happens or not.
I was waiting on your review for this game! Lit!
chapters 4+ are going to be full voiced starting next week
Somehow the game feels like 2 different artstyles. On one side you have some character art, the UI and the overworld artstyle that looks like a 20 year old RPG, but on the other side you have the gacha and player characters in modern flashy mobile game artstyle
Played Brown Dust before it got renamed Brave Nine and also played Brown Dust 2 for awhile, what I can tell anyone who wants to try it is that the devs very generous with the rewards but really really REALY do not care if the how game breaking new characters are. The character you spent all your resources into to become strong will can become obsolete the next patch. This doesn't really matter much if you're a casual player but if you want to climb the ranks, you'll be frustrated with how fast characters become trash
nah i love that, op characters are what make games fun (for me)
bd2 seems to be a lot slower on the powercreep for now. outside of pvp i think you won't have any issue
THOUGHT YOU SAID EVERTALE for a sec, and i was confused
the Anniversary live stream was insane!!! make sure to use the codes they left in that video.
I totally agree : Brown Dust 2 deserves more love
As one of my fave games, want to clear up a few things if anyone scrolls down to read the comments.
1.)Limited characters are few in between and will come back every year. (Summer outfits on summer (only 2 are limited out of many others)
2.)Game is over generous.
Or how they said it, "We decided to not care about the opinions of those who don't player our game."
Thank you Pseychie for giving our beloved game some spotlight. Your review was very easy to understand and follow. If you stick with it. I hope to hear an update review once you've dabbled in late game content.
"We decided to not care about the opinions of those who don't player our game." - mega based 🤓
I remember playing it at launch and it was quite tame. Surprised to see it become so lewd.

Is this the first review that you'll be sticking with? Wow 🎉
Thank you so much for covering this game. It is incredibly underrated.
My point is, that BD2 is as closest to being a "normal" game, as gacha could possibly get.
well, there is a reason why nikke gets 20+ mil per month while brown dust barely gets 1 mil
nikke is just way greedier
I hope you will try to review Guardian Tales. Your reviews are actually good for someone who's looking to play a new one.
A great video. Hands down the most informative BD2 video I have ever seen, and as a BD2 player, I really wish this was out when I started playing 1 year ago. Great job!!!
One thing I want to point out though is that limited characters are rare in BD2 (current banners are collab banners so they are limited) but most of the banners in the game are regular units, which after the banner ends:
1st: they go in the general pool of characters, so they can be pulled as off-banner drop
2nd: once their banner ends, they are added to the Powder of Hope shop for 2 weeks, so if someone has powder, but was unlucky to pull the unit, they can directly buy 1 copy there
Again, great video.
Saying BD2 is on the same level as Nikke when it comes to generosity is a slight understatement lol
the rate up characters are added to the bunch, only the limited time character dont whic are just 4 i think and they return like the sumemr skins are comming back in the next event.
I'm trying this game again after 1 year, seems like its much better!
Loving this series, please do more!
Try PGR after HI3 i wanna see ur opinion after trying both bcos i like both of the game and cant wait for zzz also 😆
Can you do a video on Love Nikki and Miracle Nikki?
I love this game. My friends recommended this gem..
video 6 of asking psy to review guardian tales: I can just tell that this game would not be f2p friendly when in end game content or doing pvp stuff
This is not a an atrocious review! It's actually a very well done review!
this is actually exactly what im looking for
"Eight butt plugs in a ring shape" I almost spit out my water all over my monitor XD Game looks sick though... might be checking it out soon. I really dig the art style.
It's kinda funny how you can barely tell how hot the characters are in battle, but they go well out to make sure the thirst factor is off the charts when you see the characters full image.
"Licking feet, armpits and massage" in Snowbreak - 12+
Pantyshots in BD RPG - 17+
This is some kind of battle at a 'cultural festival', lol
tnx for the video... your the reason I played Nikke just last week and now brown dust 2..😁
Most importantly is the shop, very generous
I played brown dust 1/brave nine a couple years ago, but the content frequency was actually way too high for me to keep up without whaling and i quit
I was skeptical touching this game. I was curious on the game and stuff.... But I feel like I am too stupid on how much complicated the combat it will be in later levels that kinda held me back onto actually playing it.
Thanks for the review. I might touch it... as soon as I find a slot in my schedule to actually play it
bruh its super simple, just grab 1 or 2 buffer and fill the rest with Damage dealer with the same damage, either physical or magic
@@datguui9021 Do not underestimate my ability to be stupid
It only just looks complicated but its really just a puzzle game rather than a turned-based RPG.
I play this game very casually, often miss dailies & weeklies
but somehow I almost have every character & always have a lot of pulls ready, I still have like almost 200 pulls after pulling on the latest mushoku tensei collab banners
I don't even do any of the endgame content lmao
Super jealous about the jobless reincarnation collab ngl
Also could you do a quick video explaining the Nikke favorite items and if they change the meta
My favorite gacha lately. The gameplay is quick and enjoyable, and the art is beautiful in more ways than one.
happy that BD2 getting much love and recognition it deserves. This is truly a hidden gem of a game.❤
Thanks for introducing the game, very much enjoying it so far!
yea, played from released day and Brown Dust 2 better than i expected. Generous dev with lots of free rolls, sexy + nice characters artwork, fine turn-base gameplay.
It hard nowaday to find a gacha games like that, 9/10 to me
Would like to see alchemy stars reviewed, before it disappears for good (I really enjoyed the gameplay when I still had the time to play)
The game is even more generous than what you put it out to be. Very few limited characters and craftable gear is pretty much as good as ex gear.
Yeah, I usually log in twice per banner and I have one copy of almost every unit. I did play daily for 2 months on launch and hoarded all that currency, but it's crazy generous.
EDIT: OMG, the holy grail next? I hope you thoroughly enjoy it!
I can't even figure out how to install on PC
The official site is telling me to "click on the 'Install on Windows' button after going on the Google Play Store" but there's no such install button anywhere
great start XD
(and after double-checking other games do have that button but Brown Dust doesn't lol)
Probably due to some region-locking (I dunno how to explain it but it was also the same case for me). To remedy this, use a vpn and access their official site again or ask someone who can see the PC download button and link the downloader for you.
@@nethereaI ooh that makes sense! thanks!
I think its common problem from Google play on PC
The same happen to quite a few game i play
for BD2 , I have to send installer to my friend because he can't download it no matter how hard he try.
Installer size is less than 5 mb tho , so if VPN not worked you can just ask someone you trust to download and send it for you
iirc official discord also have it
Pls do this with guardian tales, it needs all the exposure it can get
i randomly found this game a few days ago and so far i've been enjoying it a lot! Glad I joined before the 1st anniversary starts
hm, must be a regional thing. when I checked it out in my store (switzerland) it's "FSK 12" - which is the german age rating for context - but even then, these screenshots are more than borderline softporn lol
“It’s going to be for Honkai impact 3rd”
My heart skipped 2 beats.
Time to wait for next month.
