  • A new publication from the T-cell biology Group at the MRC HIU, led by Professor Simon Davis, is the first to describe the structure of the T-cell receptor when bound to an activating ligand. The findings shed light on an important trigger in the immune system, and suggest a completely new process by which cell receptors can be activated.

    About the MRC HIU:
The MRC Human Immunology Unit is located in the MRC Weatherall Institute of Molecular Medicine at the University of Oxford. We study the human immune system over time and in tissue space to define its contribution to health and disease.
The MRC HIU consists of 13 research teams with over 130 scientists. We undertake transformative research into human immunology, advancing fundamental discoveries into new treatments for patients.
