Just noticed the string on his bow was broken, but I'm not sure if that's just a thing that happens, and does not affect the sound of the composition as I am not a violinist or instrument player at all. Love Waltzing Matilda. This is awesome. 🙌🎉
Man I wanna be half as good as this man someday. He looked like he was having so much fun just leaning into his violin with all his spirit and passion, becoming one with the music!
That part from 2:44 is metal AF, got me headbanging at my desk while working. And the rest is just so joyfull. Freaking love this thing, no other version I found of it comes even close to be this enjoyable.
How are you doing this Ray Chen? Usually soloist's music loses soloist's individuality when they play in orchestra, that's the reason I hardly listen to orchestra, because it becomes just sound of instruments. But yours is different, your sound, you music resonates above and projects you. I want people to enjoy my music like we do yours. You are everything the music world needs.
I wonder what was going through his mind as he was playing as it looked like he was telling a story in depth, of joy as well as sorrow. What a wonderful storyteller-musician.
Beats the hell out of me why, but I'm almost in tears listening to the first half. So beautiful! My nephew-in-law would love this! I like watching Ray play because he clearly loves to play, he's so into the music and he really puts everything he has into his interpretations and performance.
Ray, The last part of that arrangement sent chills up my back, thank you . Of course it was your powerful playing on "dolphin" that led to that beautiful climax. Cheers, Rik Spector
¡Y yo toda la vida pensando que esta melodía era la canción de la serie El Valle Secreto! Me acabo de enterar de que ya existía de antes. Preciosa y conmovedora igualmente. ¡Grande, Ray!
MANY THANKS for sharing I have heard WM many ways but this version has tears in my eyes They say the violin is closests to the human Vox nay closests to ones soul BRAVO all around to these wonder musicians
Ray, what a blessing it must be to have access to that Stradivarius. It has a beautiful sound, and you play it beautifully. As an “American,” the tune always gets me a little misty-eyed with a lump in my throat. 💯🏅❤️
AHHH-MAZINGLY beautiful and poignant. Would love to hear what Mr. Koncz could do with Shenandoah….maybe even a medley with Matilda. Loved that Ray was having such a good time!
Showman at his best 😊👏👏👏 I always feel that this piece is made for you and I can't quite see myself sitting still listening to and watching this live ❤
That was such a good performance Ray (I was there!!)- your Piazzolla renditions were nothing short of perfection too!!! Actually made me start practicing my violin 7 days in a row for the first time in a while.
I didn’t know this song. But I like him, and learned about his history. So beautiful, surprising, and can feel the passion, pride. Thank you so much such a wonderful performance🎉
I heard this music for the first time when I was very young.. it was accompanying a very sad film where it was the story of a nuclear bombe explosion and of course il affected the entire world . If I remember the bombe explosion did a tremendous chaos already through out the planet and Australia was the last continent that was hit by the explosion wave ..… very bad ending!!

@@maralorca6518 as a violist, it doesn't make a difference, it happens all the time!
@@maralorca6518 its just a thing that happens when u play for a while and if it does happen u just pull it off
I do! Bravo, Ray! I am learning Sibelius at the moment!Joined the app

This man is hard work, talent, charisma and good looks all rolled into one 😮😮😮
Agreed! He's definitely easy on the eyes!
Very good😊😊
Massive props to Stephan Koncz for this arrangement 🔥
If I ever feel like I haven’t smiled in awhile, I just put this on. Such a happy and free piece of music.
I love how everyone in the orchestra is deadpan except for that one bass player who is enjoying himself as much as Ray is!!!
brett energy
很喜歡看見你的演奏,很享受,但是,很希望你能多一些時間回來台灣,台灣有很多熱愛小提琴的小朋友,非常需要鼓勵。😊😊😊😊😊

I really love Stephan Koncz's arrangement of this and how Ray Chen's plays it with this awesome orchestra. They really make me see the story unfold.
