I really like the atherial vibe! I also really like the fact that the piano arrangement is a bit more complex than usual breakcore stuff, oddity which I am infact a sucker for. I think the piano arrangements and the song in general layered too, and I also feel the complexity of that instrument works hand in hand with the main melodical setpiece, thus I think both are very layerd and also much cohesive! What can I say, only that it is a vibe and a half and a quarter For the critique, it is mostly my-prefference-wise I really like samples in songs, or anytype of vocal/added sounds. That's a big why I like breakcore myself! It has a very neat... well.. sampling of samples principle, I gues! and well I see that you don't really use samples in your songs! I also understand that your stuff is surely more alligned and catered towards ambient music, as per your more atherial inclining.. but, I think samples, even if them very atherial-like-y ones, give songs much structure! They help the music not blend into itself (as brakecore has the tendancy to) and also will give your more layerd even-if-it-atherial style (that has many instruments and beats fighting for attention) coherence By this-said, I personally feel such is actually one of your biggests folds old to iron out; Your music is bafflingly cohesive for how layered it is, but it lacks coherence; It is well tied togheter but not defined. Per se, it has very loose border Thus! I think that samples might help you into this endevour because samples are used extensively in breakcore, so they probably bring a great addition to one's music, as you do seem to need some definition and a more clear direction! Breakcore-wise, I think you would find some great knowledge stealing-potential from: Lost - Mayo. (general sampling) please buy it for me daddy - Rory in early 20s (sampling for insaneness, so just very layered stuff in general, so oi, like your stuff!) Lafew - temporary (more soft, atherial stuff (mostly the beggining)) And many more, but these are only broad instances of defined, breakcore sampled music Of course, though, you probably don't even need samples to have a very defined song in the first place. Mainly, I think you should try to emphasise the main melodic lines you have more, to then have a more defined song structure I see you like more atherial-ambient stuff too, so I think Minecraft music, as weird as this recommendation is, could also be a great point of refference too! Minecraft music is very atherial, it is literally electronic ambient, as you probably know, but it has a very well defined structe (be minecraft music itself simply structured & textured).
