- I tried the TDM playstyle/Meta here and there... and I just don't get the satisfactory behind it. Its very boring to say the least.

tdm meta is the most mind numbing and boring meta we've ever had, i just want old siege back
Same i would love for Siege to go back to tactical routes. (This is a 1x video, i'll continue doing tactical outside the box thinking)
It will never go back. The problem isn't the game but players. We're way more skilled than years back so peeking is the strongest thing to do

This kinda makes no sense to me because old siege was even worse with quick lean. People keep parroting "TDM meta" but I have yet to see that at all. Im only mid gold but most matches I play always favor tactical gameplay. The only issue is cheaters and ranked 2.0
i think that's why the tdm meta is bad. it ISN'T satisfactory. it's all about kdr, plants, clips and flicks. it's all showmanship, no fun. worse yet, the meta creates more players that play by the meta. what i mean is that being slow and methodical doesn't work anymore because unless you have rapid reflexes or perfect comms, you're just gonna get rushed and die. being punished for being slow makes you want to play fast because "maybe that's the secret to fun" when in reality it's even less fun than dying over and over
another reason why the tdm meta is bad is because it rewards unintelligent play. you can pretty much run the same course and with enough skills you can win every time with little effort. you didn't plan or coordinate with your teammates, you just ran ran ran and you were too fast
yet another reason is probably the worst of them all that may affect the game in the long term: it kills off new players. i've seen many people outright quit siege because of this meta and i've gotten pretty close myself. this meta rewards not coordinating with your team, not playing intelligently, and having perfect reflexes. this makes the skill floor FAR too high and makes it harder for new players to engage with the game without feeling like they're in a cycle of setting up/attacking site and getting shot by someone with maximum speed without any time to react or even build their reflexes for proper play. it's why there's so many cheaters now, the game is so fast that people can't keep up and resort to an unfair advantage to either even the odds or send them tumbling the other direction. it's why old players are leaving, not just because they've been playing so long, but also because the game has become too fast for them. it's why operators that are too fast get nerfed to be slower. siege has or used to have a vision for what it was. siege used to punish you for fast play because people would plan the site and their positions. it wasn't a tom clancy game for nothing, it was all about planning. but as per usual, new games mix with old, and now players used to faster paced games (new mw3, new mw2, fortnite, xdefiant) went to siege because it looked interesting, bringing their fast paced play and rapid reflexes with them. what i mean isn't that "new video game bad," what i mean is that there's a pace siege was made for, and that pace goes DIRECTLY in the face of newer games where people have lost their attention spans and can only process things with constant eye candy. and siege was missing that eyecandy, so players move fast fast fast and never slow down or they get bored.
this is also the reason why defenders are constantly rushing outside of site to get picks. if your attention span is short and you had to sit in 2-3 rooms only making important decisions when they eventually get to you, wouldn't you want to run around and do something more entertaining? while it is true that early in the match, it can be a bit boring to sit in site waiting for something to happen, it gives you time before things get crazy, and patience is key in this game.
in short, the tdm meta is a cesspit of speed that's rotten to the core, the tdm meta is what happens to a team game when you remove the team, and players who consistently use it should stop as quickly as they run into or out of site, as it's killing the game long term. thank you for listening to my ted talk

There are Y1 players that dont even know it, which is funny cause Dust Line is when i started and i remember planting in that office on my first go of Siege. Players in game always say they never knew. Glad i can show it

Completely agree. It's just... not siege. Not interesting, not unique. You can do this kind of thing in any game.
The fun for siege comes from the intricacies and strategy. Well thought out plays coming to fruition.
Running in and praying they aren't sitting in a corner or watching you on cam isn't it.
since when could you look away from a flash and it doesn’t blind you
if the flashes are a certain distance you wont get the full affect, add that while turning around sometime you wont be affected at all :)

@@The_voices_are_getting_louder_ in all honesty Ubi just needs to make Her a 3 speed. Her gadget is good but were in a Meta that makes it irrelevant and i dont think buffing/changing her gadget because of a poor meta is the play. But im all for a Nokk buff (preferably speed/armor change)

The game right now is not even half way as bad as it was in operation chimera. THAT was tdm meta. Maybe high ranks its different, but every ~gold match I've played favors playing tactical
Ubi tries slowing the game down with stuff like less ADS speed and people literally were pissed about it. I think it's the community that sucks not this fake 'tdm meta' tbh.

What is TDM meta
Team Death Match, Everyone runs and guns with no thought of playing objectively. Players find it easier and more fun (somehow) to just click and shoot rather than create strategic plays in order to plant diffuser.
