Does it matter that she's lovely? No, it doesn't. All that matters is that she's good. And she is! (I mean, no one ever says that about male musicians. "What a handsome guitar player.")
@@CyrilAndPriscilla People absolutely talk about how hot male musicians are. It's one thing if people are drooling over how attractive a woman is or if they focus exclusively on her looks but just mentioning that she's lovely doesn't seem that bad of a thing.
The tones are heavenly. Her notes are so clean. No fret buzz. So melodic. I like how she just closed her eyes and let her fingers run all over the fingerboard. She didn’t even have to look. What a gem! Also, that’s a Japanese-made George Benson signature guitar - a highly valued guitar.
Does it matter that she's beautiful? Would you say this about a young male guitar player? Would you say "A young and handsome boy keeps up the style of..." No? Then why would you say it about a woman? Isn't it enough that she's talented?
Excellent guitarist, plays very well, has style, and a smooth playing. The sound flows perfectly, clean, crystal clear, and with a lot of passion! Congratulations 🎸👏👏👏👏👏🇧🇷
Wow! No backing track... just you and the guitar, So rich sounding! And so composed on stage. I rarely subscribe to channels but after 4 videos, you've won me over. I look forward to your progress and wish you the very Best Dominyka!
It's not easy to keep the feeling of swing when one is playing single note lines between chords, but Dominyka does it well. Like Duke Ellington said, "It don't mean a thing if it ain't got that swing." Nice tone and sensitivity, very well done!
What a goog joung player you are ! the old jazz guitarist I am is admirative. Alone in front of the scene to play the music of Wes Montgomery. What you're able to perform is really good. Bravo to you. Gilles
That's wonderful ! A little tip (if you don't know that already): When you have a venue where you play through an amplifier with a microphone in front of the cabinet (that goes to the mixing console). Place the microphone a little "off-center" from the "cone" of the loudspeaker: Imagine the circle of the loudspeaker, in the center you have the cone, and the cone is where the loudspeaker puts out most of the trebles, so, in order to get a more balanced mellow tone (more like what you actually hear when you're standing a little afar from the speaker), you place the microphone BETWEEN the center of the speaker (the cone) and the edge of the circle of the speaker. You can try recording "at the center" and "off-center" at home, and you'll clearly hear the difference. P.S : This "treble peek" at the center of the loudspeaker (in front of the cone) is even more accentuated when people use microphones such as the "Shure SM57" for instance, and in that case it becomes even more important to put the microphone a little "off-center".
Hi Dominyka, you are a beautiful lady with a beautiful amazing voice on the guitar! I’m new to your channel and I love your videos your talent is super amazing to me!!
Sometimes I dabble in Wes octave licks when I'm soloing. Some of my friends like to call me "East Montgomery". I think YOU are the REAL East Montgomery! 😁
I was just wondering if any of the judges really know and appreciate jazz. Dominyka did a great job on this one but I've heard her do other pieces that would blow them away.
Do these judges even understand this music? Only one is clapping after he amazing performance. I don't know if Lithuania's got any talent, but Dominyka certainly does!
I bet you have not passed further because these talent shows favor mostly folks with WOW effects like those self maid opera singers with no proper technique or fingerstyle guitarist with upbeat songs or simply some rockers shredders (VERY RARE). But STILL being able to actually aired on the TV playing hardcore jazz guitar in a pop talent show is something you won't see everyday. Huge achievement, my sincere congratulations. Should you write any original jazz songs or any other songs, I will be very interested to hear what you can pull off. Greetings from Ukraine. :)
It's not easy just playing like that without a backup band, and especially in front of clueless idiot reality tv show 'judges' who definitely 100% will not get it whatsoever. Well done my dear.
Chalk it of to experience. You really do shine in front of an audience. Knowing that is much more valuable then winning a trophy. Art shouldn't be a competition anyway.@@dominykamauliute
That won't happen again, An old jazz classic from West Montgomery performed by a lovely girl at a pop show. Hard to believe!
Yes, thanks!
Europe has a much broader sense of talent than the US.
Does it matter that she's lovely? No, it doesn't. All that matters is that she's good. And she is!

@@CyrilAndPriscilla - No, they just throw themselves at them and try to get backstage when they play concerts. Duh...

Am I dreaming? A young and beautiful girl keeps up the style of the roots of Jazz guitar. Wow!
Tone, rhythm and good taste at its best! 🔝

Perfection and I've come to expect that from Dominyka. I've come to expect it because that's what she never fails to deliver. Ever.
Good, the judge says! I say: Wonderful! Great! Amazing!
I've been a professional musician for 55 years and she definitely has plenty of talent. Nothing to decide.
So beautiful ❤

She's great. It's very difficult to play a fairly complex song with just you and the guitar.
You absolutely nailed it! Congratulations,

Una stupenda sorpresa. Note pulite e cristalline con una sonorità direi perfetta. E c'è anche uno swing giusto. Bravissima
Thank you!

You're the winner
Thank you!
Wes just called me and said to tell you, “Keep up the great work.” 🙂
Thank you :)
the judges are far away from understanding what she performed.
How can there be 16k views and only 798 likes?
Tu devrais venir en France.
I had to subscribe to your channel because there is not much video footage of WM.
Wow, thank you!
I think Wes Montgomery just reincarnated as a girl in Lithuania. 😄
I was just wondering if any of the judges really know and appreciate jazz. Dominyka did a great job on this one but I've heard her do other pieces that would blow them away.

молодец👍
How are you doing??? I haven't heard from you in a long time.
How did you do in the contest?
America's or Britain's Got Talent have never had a jazz guitar performance.
Neither did Lithuania's got talents :D before me
Do these judges even understand this music? Only one is clapping after he amazing performance. I don't know if Lithuania's got any talent, but Dominyka certainly does!
Aww, thank you!!
And the audience were too uneducated to knoebwhat they were listening too 😂

Come on some patron, send this young guitarist, a 175D
She sounds great- the judges all blew fuses by the end- too much concentration-
What did the jury say????
Two yes and one no.
So are you one round ahead? What are you going to play?
Good luck!
Lol ‘jury’ - seems she played at a court-of-law
Heard you before, liked before I even had listened and wasnt wrong. Way over this panel's heads though
Thank you!
That is not in D natural
I play Emily Remler's version here, which is in Bb.
Oh, got it! Haha. I didn’t realize it was based on hers; she changes keys a lot
Bravo, but nobody from the jury understood this
Thank you :)

Thank you so much! Yes, it was very stressful!
You must of won, didn't you?
Thank you for believing in me, but no I didn't, it is understandable - this is a pop show. The winner of this year was a dancer.
