Amazing scene. I was visiting a friend who turned me onto this show. I binge watched for a few days and watched this episode the night it broadcast. Mind blowing
Song was on my mind today. The low volume here sorta robs the scene of its power. That being said...it just occurred to me, now years later looking at the board, that the foreign agent, Whiterose, apparently completely escaped FBI notice.
A glimpse of what it'd be like to be close to the center of a High priority f.b.i. investigation with several close friends on the D.O.A. red cross... Brilliant show. Can't wait 'till season 4. "The moth don't care if the flame is real".
No interaction just 20 minutes ago I heard the song and I just saw this scene right now I never cared for mr robot and i will never do but I saw this scene and my body is now convulsing in goosebumps that is how good this scene truly truly masterful now if only she was the responsible one bruh I would of have gotten hospitalized with the goosebumps my goodness such a beautiful scene and a beautiful song

Scenes like this make me frustrated with the final direction of the show - especially when they're fantastic scenes. The big reveal here is that the FBI is patient, and knows more than she realized, and is going to keep gathering evidence and connecting more and more lines until they're finally ready to strike, and that Darlene's belief that its all down to some rebel hackers vs a shadow hacker army is totally naïve. Then it turns out that's exactly what happens. So what was the point of this scene?
I don't think this scene was saying anything against it. Much the opposite. I think this scene was confirming that they were always the underdog even if they got a major win. For as big as F Society got, they were nothing more than a few people on a board and easily picked off by their own frailty. It reinforces the idea this would come down to a few people versus the world pretty much.
This scene was very well thought out. Listen to the song. They connected everything to Tyrell and decided he was the central figure, the culprit still. The flame wasn’t real. It’s why the FBI failed to arrest Elliot. They were drawn by the fake flame. It’s also why Darlene reacted the way she did at the end.

I love how even though they play up just how on-top of everything the FBI really was, they still thought Tyrell was the man-in-the-middle
