- The Gonzaga Bulldogs will host Arkansas guard Khalif Battle on a visit this weekend, with Mark Few hoping to land the high-scoring veteran guard in his final season of college basketball eligibility. Battle averaged 29.6 points over his final seven games with the Hogs, and he'd be a perfect third guard off the bench for this program.
The transfer portal is now closed and Gonzaga kept the majority of their core around, and a team photo posted right at the deadline showed this team's camaraderie and togetherness, a rarity in the modern era. What is left for this team over the offseason? Michael Ajayi is in the NBA draft process, but otherwise it's just filling a few scholarship spots.
We close out the show discussing Chet Holgmren and Julian Strawther each advancing to the conference semifinals of the NBA playoffs, while Rui Hachimura and the Lakers are eliminated and Jalen Suggs and Andrew Nembhard face 3-2 deficits for Orlando and Indiana, respectively.

@robertgronowski6341 Sorry, didn't realize your message on my post. I was a sophomore in high school at this time. Yeah I never heard of Gonzaga at the time. I hope in my life time they will win that first championship to quite the negative people don't like Gonzaga.
Minor nitpick, but the Pacers are actually up 3-2 in their series haha.
Battle sounds like the perfect addition for the team. In addition to appearing to be a certified bucket, he would add some much needed size to the guard rotation.
I was going to say something that Pacers are up in the series.
If Battle commits he’s going to be the first of the bench and get major minutes. Stromers role likely will get decreased but he still should see good minutes
I don't know about you guys or girls but who else misses the old Battle in Seattle games? Missouri,, Oklahoma State: Morrison banked in 3 pointer and Uconn. Battle for/in Seattle used to be awesome and mean a great deal.

Battle would be a great edition for Gonzaga! Hopefully better than Malachai Smith! Timme and Strather his slot of Smith's deficiencies. The host here mentions "Smith and focus" . Extremely true and great point. I hope we get battle.
Folks, put this in perspective : Last year Gonzaga accomplished three great things. 1. Best Kentucky at Rupp areana. 2. Best Kansas. 3. made the sweet 16. IMHO, that's a great season. You can't make elite 8 and get to Monday Night every year! Even with WSU joining ACC next year Gonzaga and Saint Mary's should be okay. Hopefully Gonzaga can split with both. 4. I think Gonzaga can possibly get to elite 8 next year! I hope so!

It would be cool if Gonzaga plays Arkansas and Kentucky in non conference in February in the future. 2. Hopefully the A.D. leaves.some of the some of those november and December dates open for February. Remember, the committee looks at your last 10. Just some food for thought. Playing WSU, SMC, Arkansas, and Kentucky in February would look great, even if they can split.
The committee hasn't used last ten games as a criteria for years. A number of analysts and announcers commented on the lack of that metric during conference tourney (in reply to @robertgronowski6341. For some reason, YT keeps moving it under a different post)
